  5. So I just found this 376 freestander. Very exciting. It gets gradually skinnier like any Antenna does, but the last 50 feet or so gets drastictly thinner. On 1 of the 3 sides at the top fifty feet there are 6 oval shaped bars sticking out. The oval consists of 2 elongated "C"'s overlapping each other on the top an bottom to form an oval shape. Then an "S" shape pole going through the oval. I'm guessing they are 3 to 4 feet tall and there are like 5 or 6 sticking off the one side. Anybody know what these might be? Thanks for the help. Bryan
  6. I am going to be in Kentucky around the mammoth cave this saturday July 17, just wondering if anyone lives in that area and wants to jump something. PM me if interested. Thanks. Bryan
  7. I currently have 50 jumps total, all on my pin rig and I love it. When it comes to low objects, 300 and lower, I prime my pins. I doubt it does anything but it makes me feel better. I just got my "B" a few days ago and it was about 250'. I freefell the object. To prepare I primed my pins and left the flap open( don't suggest doing this if its possible to rub up against anything)and Ialso opened up my shoulder flaps. I know it may not have done anything, but it made me feel better and I opened up a lot higher than I thought I was going to. Heard my pins pop for the first time too. That was pretty sweet. One thing that is great about pins is that you can always adjust the tension based on your packjob or the closing loop. I have never adjusted or changed out the length of my closing loop but its easy to adjust the pack job to change the pin pressure. Anyways thats what I have to say about jumping with pins. Hope it helps but its just my opinion. Bryan

    Idaho or bust

Chili's is not base friendly at all. They manager basically told megan.(that nice base groupie that gives everyone rides to the top.) to screw off, when she asked for coupons for the memorial boogie raffle that don held. The manager did the same thing to johnny utah. Not to mention that the outback offers base jumpers happy hour specials at anytime. not just happy hour. The mexican place there is pretty awesome also. I think every tuesday is buy one get one free margarita night and they let you play base videos theie also. But you will have a great time out there for sure. Bryan
  9. I also use a tailgate. On typical slider down jumps I use a rubber band cut in half and wrapped 3 times around the tail gate. No larks head, just 3 wraps. I lose a rubber band on every jump. When I do a Mckonkey I take 2 wraps rather than 3. it keeps the lines together nice and prevents line overs. The was a reported line over on a Mckonkey w/out a tailgate in April. Since I heard that I always use a tailgate.

    base rig

With velcro its easier to pack but the velcro wears out. I personnaly prefere a pin rig. When climbing objects the velcro can catch and start to peal when in tight spots. The pin is protected by a flap and wont come undone if rubbed up against an object.(I guess it is possible for the pins to pop, but I have never heard of it happening. I have seen velcro catch and start to come undone. The pull forces on my 2 pin are next to nothing. And if they are a little tight you can always readjust the packjob and/or prime the pins before exit. Thats just what I think and what I've heard. I'm actually curious to hear what other people have to say about it also.
  11. If you go to uspa.org you can get a TSA form about bringing parachutes onto an airplane with and without cypresses. I used this form when I flew to Miami to skydive on marathon key island. The TSA had no problems with me bringing my skydiving gear with a cypress onto the airplane. BASE gear should be even easier. It also helps to have a skydiving friend that works for the TSA at the airport you fly out of. But you shouldn't have any problems. See ya at the bridge. Bryan
  12. ahhh but I do think its a reserve, There sure isn't a main.
