  1. I've a gotten the phone calls from Adrock... She needs to learn though that once you stop, you can't stop drinking. Just continue the drunkeness till monday. Cause when you do stop, you get hungover
  2. Nah, she wasn't after me remember, it was my roommate. And today is now 8 days since we've heard from her. I think we're in the clear now
  3. I've having a blast, for the first time I'm having my 15 mins of fame: http://win.ksu.edu First 2 articles involve me as well as a random banner that pops up on their site http://www.findyourelement.org/fye_bird_man.htm www.ksu.edu/ksupc/gallery/manhattan_matters.html TV show about the club I'm on the radio and in the newspapers too!!! I'm having a blast!
  4. I know Z hills does: http://www.ecfreefly.com/
  5. Again as bodypilot said, you just wear the pants over your leg straps... Doesn't matter what brand, it's how they're worn. Why do you./are you concerned with wearing them under your harness?
  6. I call bullshit. Two feet to your belly has got to hurt. Padded landing area doesn't count! Dang it! I just pulled all the cushions off the couch and belly flopped it. Of course I hit knee first at an attack angle then chest keep my head high. Tomorrow I'll try the running approach onto a skateboard and let you know how it goes
  7. HOLLY SHIT then I just did it. Jumped off my couch onto the floor. Landed on my belly and was able to walk away unharmed. Now I can call Jeb on a case of beer when he does it right?
  8. Flat tracking like a mofo. Practice tracking dives, getting your body flat and stable. I don't have any cool links to post sorry
  9. Sweet!!! lol Boulevard Wheat out of Kansas city, free keg of beer for the festival and an open door to maybe do it again. eh why the heck not Thanks Chuck How's Jon and the knights doing on the bm training?
  10. What about the flight charachteristics? Do you think it'll affect it at all? As for the suit, yeah it's not gonna last forever, I caught the left wing pretty good going out the door last weekend and put a 2 inch tear in it... I've got a temp patch on it now as my rigger has never dealt with a wingsuit. Ya know, 100mph white duct tape haha
  11. We're not going to be able to do a test run on the smoke to see how visable it is. We were going to last weekend, but they're burning fields and it was just too smoky the way it was. So we jumped the brackets and tested everything out. As for the water gear, there actually isn't very much water in the lake, it's about a foot deep not and there is actually a rather large island in the middle. They're going to have a boat out there just in case for us and we do have belly mount water gear as needed. It's too bad the lake/river is covered by driftwood or it'd make a nice swoop course back onto shore
  12. Lots of pictures. Digital from the plane, I'll be wearing my video and stills backwards and then the other jumper involved will be wearing his video camera as well. We got some AWESOME test runs done finding the sweet spot for both of us in the videos. Should be a good time. It'll be a Kansas State record hahah well, seeing as there isn't one yet, if I fly 10ft it's a record We're just doing the demo and throwing in the "added" excitement for the whuffos
  13. Yeah not a fan of sewing anything on, just a decal for 1 hour on the wings. Kevin, did you ever jump with anything on the top wing though? Did it affect your flight at all?
  14. Contacted a local brewary here to see if they would sponsor myself and another jumper for our demo. They said they had some stickers/decals that would fit the back of our wings. Anyone any done something like this, if they were placed correctly on the topskin allowing it to keep form, how much, if any, would it affect the flight performance of the suit? Not a troll, just wanting others opinions before I slap them on there
  15. Kevin thanks for the info. We're both jumping 2 cans, left foot and it's the stuff from paragear. I'm going to pick it up today and take a look at it to determine if it can be fired remotely with the string. Is the smoke you've jumped this same stuff? White canister, appears to be plastic etc? And yes I've jumped smoke a number of times, just not on the wingsuit. We a number of practice jumps together, sorting out the exit, flying with the brakcet, cutting it away (used a leesh to catch it for the trail runs) etc. Everything seems to be in line other than popping it on the step.
  16. yeah when you search you have to look for DCR-PC1xx and it'll show on ebay etc. The 100, 105 and 109 are really nice
  17. holly shit it's true, you CAN fly hahah Just giving ya shit. Too bad we didn't get to freefly over the new year. Funny ass belly stuff huh
  18. It doesn't matter if they plan on releasing it. They have already missed their target demographic. A lot of people were waiting for the Katana 135 and 150 when the Katana was first released but many have decided to get Crossfire 2's rather than wait for an indefinate release date. That's exactly what I did edit to add: I would have liked to have tried one out just like Aggie, I currently load my 149 Xfire2 at 2.01/1 weighed on a scale with all my gear and helmets. I trash pack it and trust it for everything else I do. Best openings I've ever had. However, I did jump a Stiletto 135 just recently. The openings were hard, off heading and just not my cup of tea. What made up for it though was the very light front riser pressure and agressive diving. I felt I could take it longer and lower without having to struggle as much with it. I still look forward to the 135 and or 150 Katana to come out and compare it to my Xfire2. I've since put around 350 jumps on my Xfire2 so we'll see how I like the Katana
  19. Bowie, thanks for the video. Is that with 1 or 2 cans? And was that they typical paragear cold smoke?
