I think it can be done and think I kinda understand the idea. Canopy pilots have been landing on moving things for some time now. Boats, cars, motorcycles, trains etc. If you match the speed to which you're flying, then you can land safely. For about a million bucks, that sounds about right to build a rather large sled type something on the side of a hill that could match him forward speed for him to land on, or just a big conveyor belt.

SGC Memorial Day Boogie DVD - UPDATE
kansasskydiver replied to kansasskydiver's topic in The Bonfire
Hey everyone, sorry for the delay, had some unforseen events happen in life. The DVD will be ready this week, it's coming together great and I'm putting in all the requested music etc. in. I'll post a teaser and the final info hopefully within a day or so. Thanks everyone for their footage. Only thing left to capture are the photos. If you have no objection to be grabbing some still shots, let me know. Chris -

Drunken talking a couple weeks ago with a buddy of mine at the bars, as we exchanged our war stories and what not, he asks the question "What's the most courageous thing that you've ever done. That required the most willpower and restraint." I had no response at the time though now thinking back on my life and things I've done, I called him back with my answer "Willingly watching and letting someone you love leave because it had to be." To me, that was the hardest and most courageous act of willpower I've ever displayed. Anyway, if you care to share, go for it, should be an interesting topic

kansasskydiver replied to kansasskydiver's topic in Events & Places to Jump
I believe the schedule is to leave Thursday after work and return monday (4th of july) late evening. And you'll prob need to bring a tent, I should refrase that it sleeps 4-5 when paired up with the opposite sex lol. There are only really 2 beds then the floor. It's a short bus, we did what we could. Come down this weekend and you can see it -

Joe, you can ride up in the bus. We can pick you up in Omaha or something on the way. She don't go very fast, but OMG does she rock. Just finished putting in the sound and what not today. By far the clearest speakers I've ever heard. The bus has great acoustics too. She'll travel 9, sleep 4-5 (cuddled up) then floor space. For traveling though, we're gonna have to get a rack for the top or just pile shit up next to the bar. We don't even know what the gas millege is yet on her, but we're assuming it'll cost us a quarter of the distance each way in $$$. So 100 miles would cost us $25 each way... Kinda scary, but with 5 people, it's not that bad anymore And yes, camp in tent city next to the bus. We're got it set up that we can run off of 3 diff types of pwer. The alternator while she's running, seperate battery cells when we can't plug in, or an rv hookup :) -
All been worked out and the other tv should be in tomorrow, hopefully...

That's an awesome bus!!! Yeah the bill is getting high, but I think still under budget so it's all good. We've been doing a lot of shopping around and all the work is being done by fellow skydivers. We all seem to have our own little traits that we're good at, so it's coming together well.

Soooooooo some know, some don't, but... The tircked out "short" bus is almost complete. We slapped on some primer last night and should be giving it it's jet black painting this evening along with the stuff below. Bus has to be ready by this Friday for it's first boogie, then many more after that. Be sure to come to Chicago!!! http://www.ice-ks.com/gallery/Short-Bus "It is my dream to one day, pull up to a corner, open my doors, and give all the short kids beer"-Ifallfast

Be sure to turn his name into the police, the problem is, unless they can find it, they can't do anything to him. Were there camera anywhere in the building that would at least put him at the same place at the same time?
