Yeah, you're probably going to get blown up one way or another. I think I'll be strapping on my smoke canisters again for the canopy fun. This time I'm using the whole frickin' case at once. Four going at once wasn't the huge cloudmaker I was hoping for. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

I think AirBeds suck and I've never been on one that didn't leak. And not just a leak through the material but through the valves. Get a Thermarest Dreamtime. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Great stories and O'Brian is very technically accurate. Do you sail or are you a history buff? His stories are usually too heavy for the typically reader. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Contact William Linne in Falls Church/Arlington. http://www.varigging.com/ He is the most meticulous and capable rigger I know of in Northern Virginia and when he makes an inspection he goes over every stitch. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Although the name Asshat creates the urge to understand others, we emphasize that it causes a restless intensity that spoils relaxation and causes instability in your life. This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses in the fluid systems, and solar plexus. Your name of Asshat makes you quick-minded, versatile, and very expressive. You are adaptable and creative in responding to new situations. This name has given you an interest in people and a desire for new experiences. You have the ability to create a favourable first impression, and so you could do well in the fields of sales promotion or entertainment. The use of this name creates a lack of stability in your affairs as you are inclined to procrastinate or to be too impulsive in your decision making. For those of you suffering from Tinnitus (ringing in the ear)
DJL replied to BillyVance's topic in The Bonfire
Yup. Got it. Too much abuse on my ears over my short life. I'm waiting for the smart kids to make a stem cell sorbett that I can pour down my ear canal. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher -
To echo another poster, there was no reason for you to wrestle with your chest strap all the way down to AAD altitude. It sounds like if you didn't hear your broken audible that your reserve would have opened without you being prepared. Think about that for a while. Yeah, I used to be big into hitting the "hot-spots" and with my college roommate/best friend in the restaurant/bar/club business it was basically that scene. Most people who know me now probably couldn't fathom that I would keep such company. The play with dudes like that is that they pay a shitload of money for VIP passes and do the knuckle-punch and man-hug thing with all the bouncers. The cute chicks like getting out of the mob in the main club areas so they tag along. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Lewis Hamilton in F1? That's not news. When Jamal Jackson wins at Taladega is when I really want to see a reaction. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Don't buy it. There's plenty of nicer stuff out there. Also, that's overpriced for gear that old. I've given away canopies newer than that just to get new jumpers under a canopy until they can save up and figure out what they want. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Maybe my standards have lowered but right now all I want as a President is someone who can open their mouth without something really stupid coming out; someone who can be presidential. And FT is a Senator and character actor, not the other way around. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Skydive by taking the... subway? CrossKeys may get a train!
DJL replied to christoofar's topic in The Bonfire
The reality of it is that if a mass commuter spot pops up there then the area will be further developed. Basically, you can say goodbye to all of those nice alternate landing areas around the DZ. So...goodbye CrossKeys. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher -
Those fuckers have been like that for a long time. The original settlers buy their country fair and square for a saddlebag of corn and some whiskey and they've been trying to con everyone ever since and aren't even willing to learn the new native language, Spanish. Didn't think it was that great. They tried to pack so much piratey stuff in there that it became distracting. They did such a bad job of making the plots twisty and unpredictable that this became a new sort of predictability. The supporting characters took turns trying to upstage each other with bouts of bad pirate acting. I started laughing when Keira belted out her motivational speech. Yelled "hook it" during the parachute scene (I'd given up completely by then.). To summarize it, the movie was a 3 hour blur of special effects and cliche's within cliche's. That's not just a rule of thumb, that's IBC 1203.2: ...a net free venting area no less than 1/150 of the area of the space being vented with that free area broken equally into an upper and lower portion. The exception is that the venting area can be 1/300 of the area if there is a vapor retarder on the warm side of the attic insulation having a transmission rate not exceeding 1 perm in accordance with ASTM E 96.
