I know my boss has spell check on her e-mail but I keep receiving e-mails where she refers to "tomarrow". I always reply, "Yes. I'll take care of that tomorrow." Still hasn't caught on... Ken "Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken -

I fly tail also. Ask your point for some tips how they pull off this type of exit. Essentially, everyone is switching slots from where they 'normaly' are for most exits. My memory of my notes involves the keyword "Lagging". As a tail you're more acustomed to being the first one in the air anchoring the formation for most exits. For this type of exit you're the last one out of the plane. Although the exit must be in synch for the group think of 'lagging' just a bit on "GO!" and allow your self to be as much pulled out of the A/C by your team as launched. Hope this helps!

I don't drive anything but manual, can't stand automatics. All Type S's come with 6 speed manual trannys, but my guess is you already knew that. I'd Really like to drive your car. I am in love. I knew it was an RSX but I couldn't see the red swooshy "S" on the tail from that camera angle. How fast have you driven it? Ken "Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken -

Quick and Dirty Spotting Step 1: Calculate the spot. Which way is the wind blowing? If you want the wind to blow you back to the landing area, take your spot upwind. The distance for the spot is related to the strength of the wind. Step 2: Spotting. a. Look Straight Down. The simple way is to place you head over a rivet on the doorframe (looking straight down at it). Lean your head out the door a few inches maintaining your gaze at the rivet and then re-focus on the ground. b. Use lengths of known landmarks to judge when you are over the spot. i.e. the run-way is 1/2 mile long therefore... c. For larger aircraft with multiple groups "the ideal" spot is for the middle group exiting the aircraft. Advanced spotting when the uppers are strong and 90 to 180 degrees off the landing wind direction requires understanding vectors and geometry. Who knows what a vector is? Are you buying an XRS New or Used? If used, buy a different container. It will be a tight fit and you may have issues w/ bag spin, line twists, etc. If new, tell sunpath what you are jumping for main and reserve and let them pick the container size. Ken "Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken
