Liberals vs. Conservatives in Higher Education

Hey, language is a living, changing, tool for communication. I present half-assed : origin year 1932 Hokum: origin year 1917 which spawned hokey in 1927 Goof has been evolving gradually for over 150 years. -
I'm not certain what JR thinks about this article. My reading suggests that Mr. Frum (see original link) believes the increase in Canadian crime is due to weak law enforcement and government in-action. Mostly, I think the article is poorly written and misleading. Yes, Toronto saw a 28% increase in murders from 1995 (61) to 2005(78). Yes, Chicago saw a 46% reduction in murders over the same period (823/445). Compared city to city, Toronto was 92.6% safer than Chicago in 1995. By 2005 Toronto was 82.5% safer than Chicago.

Check out the Big O's website. Walt should this be NSFW? Possibly. Next Friday's episode looks pretty good. Child TV Star turned Porn Star Parents hire Stripper for 14yr old son's Birthday party Sometimes I feel short changed by the way my parents raised me. "Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken

Does this one get an irony score? lol! off the charts man, off the charts. Yeah, it's off the charts. All while I ran out to get some McDonalds and fill-up the gas tank I had a thought. "Perhaps he meant fatuous. It would be the more appropriate word. Facetious just seems like such an inappropriate word for the apparent meaning." Fatuous: 1. Vacuously, smugly, and unconsciously foolish. 2. Delusive; unreal: fatuous hopes I guess now we know. ah.. c'est la vie... "Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken

They're working now. Apparently I had to register a user ID on MSN for the link to work. Thanks for your help!

1. That is not a word. I think you mean facetious. 2. Based on the context I believe you do not know the meaning of the word. "Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken

Is that time lapse effect a feature of the camera or post production editing?

I hope that won't happen. We should be keeping the focus on Alex.

Yeah, they reduced the gross take-off weight 375 pounds to 7125. Weight of Jet A: 7lbs/gallon Useful Fuel capacity: 221 gallons Crew capacity: 17 skydivers, 1 pilot Max Useful Load:4400 lbs Endurance: 5 hours includes fuel for start, taxi, takeoff, climb, descent and 45 minutes reserve remaining after landing Utility Aircraft is figuring and average passenger weight of 245lbs. If the DZ is running a full load of passengers they cannot fill the tanks more than %70 capacity. If the pilot/ DZO wants to fly with full fuel, take 14 jumpers as a max load. I would prefer spankin' Jewel Staite over Summer. Any of the Firefly women would do. "Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken
