Urban Legend. Actually, for the urea to be effective, it has to be 40% and applied over a period of time. Piss has about 18% and rarely has enough contact time considering the shower. If there was any cure caused by peeing on yourself, it was because you paid special attention to washing off your feet very good after the Golden Shower. . . . . . . . . . Sinners! _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

Two babies were born on the same day at the same hospital. They lay there and looked at each other. Their families came and took them away. Eighty years later, by a bizarre coincidence, they lay in the same hospital, on their deathbeds, next to each other. One of them looked at the other and said, "So. What did you think?" "I have a map of the United States. it is a one-to-one scale." _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

The executives and CEO's in these news companies and advertising companies more than likely are in their fifties and sixties. Their generation remembers times when blacks were second class citizens. What we take for granted is pretty monumental for them. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

YAAAAAY!!!! Q and A time!! 1. Why is there poverty and suffering in the world? Members may not have the knowledge or tools for success. Varying levels of reason differ country to country. 2.What is the relationship between science and religion There isn't any. One is a systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation; The other is a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects. There tends to be a clash if a group confuses words such as "beliefs" and "hypothesis" as meaning the same. 3.Why are so many people depressed? Personally, I don't see many depressed people. Whose been telling people they are depressed again? Is a new organization trying to establish themselves again; trying to sell a new idea? 4. What are we all afraid of? It differs. You can find enough people with similar fears to create a market segment. Just name your fear and they will come. 5. When is war justifiable? When a threat to a Country's citizens, it's economy, or it's possessions, is great enough to be a catastrophic loss. (Sorry, the "when is it catastrophic" is subjective) 6.How would God want us to respond to aggression and terrorism? I'm pretty sure you can find a passage in more than one area of both testaments. 7. What does it mean to live in the present moment? It means. . .(shit, it's already the future. . .let me try again) It means. . .(God-damnit) 9. What is our greatest distraction? It differs. You can find enough people with similar distractions to create a market segment. Just name your distraction and they will come. 10. Is current religion serving its purpose? Yes. 11. What happens to you after you die? Nothing. The coffin collapses over a couple of days and the dirt mound settles. You won't know it though. When you are dead you don't exist anymore. Even the dead don't know they are dead. 12. Describe heaven and how to get there. Gods Kingdom. I know one way is to break a capital crime by committing blasphemy in an ancient theocratic country. Do it too many times, you will be tried and convicted and sentenced to death. In Jerusalem in the old days, they made you drag your own cross to the execution site. The crowds were tough on the convicted. They didn't even let up when it was Jesus's turn. 13.What is the meaning of life? There isn't one. Now, I know this question wasn't origionally asked in english. I wonder what the real intention of the question was. Was it supposed to be a "tree fall in the woods" type question? Is it supposed to be answered sooner or later? 14. Describe god. Not Very Altruistic. 15.What is the greatest quality humans possess? That's hard to answer. There's no reference to compare to. We have to rely on Gene Roddenberry and George Lucas for other intelligent sentient beings. 16. What is it that prevents people from living to theiir full potential? Beliefs, Wives, Husbands, Children, handicaps, fears, weaknesses, the fact that there is no such thing as a "full potential". You can't gague yourself based on an ever-rising limit. Example. . .I am now above and beyond the "full potential" that I assumed in high school. 17. Non-verbally, by motion or gesture only, act out what you believe to be the current condition of the world *boioioioioioioionnnnnnnnnnnnng* 18. What is your one wish for the world? Someone told me that after the Cold War(I'm not sure if it's true) there was a period of time of a few days where not a single country was at war with each other. When the Love didn't flow out in peaceable inner-contentment around the world as the Youngbloods predicted, and Countries was still around and Religion too like John Lennon imagined, people were pissed. Lets face it World Peace sucks ass. But a lot of people are not going to die. . .so how about an extension of those fabled two days as my one wish. 19.What is wisdom, and how do we gain it? Study Study. 20. ARE WE ALL ONE? Are we all one what? Okay, I decided to answer the question first so the pending movie doesn't tell me how to answer the questions i didn't ask. As I answered the questions, none really relate to the other because there was no tie-in to make them leading questions yet. After I watch it, I will do the questions again and see what has changed. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

Liberalism in the Classroom (Long, but I need your opinion)
nanook replied to Michele's topic in Speakers Corner
I wouldn't worry about it. My experience with those type of professors have always had a happy ending. . .a grade that I have earned. A lack of integrity on one area of his personality may not reflect his person as a whole. For all we know, he may think it's extremely important your grade reflects your work rather than your opinions. He doesn't like "fraud, liars and cheaters", maybe that's a good sign. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln -
When is an apologist view ever a good defense for any of these arguments of what we do? The feel-good "golden rule" that is taught at home along with the "get-along" between family neighbors is not applicable anywhere else but between the family neighbors and within the home. It's a whole different set of rules in dealing between countries. We are not in the buisness of teaching grade-school kids the "golden-rule", we are in the buisness of protecting us and our allies' interests, Militarily and Economically; hits in both areas are catastrophic to the existance of any country. Think of it this way: any place inside the U.S and any given European country, there is an advanced culturalization/community and said "do-onto-others" rules can be applied; Between countries, we are still in the Caveman days of pulling allies to protect each other. There is no community therefore no like-community to apply these golden rules the countries. Golden rules: Way up there on the Heiarchy of needs. Inter-country: Down there with safety and physiological needs. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

Seriously though, I think this is bullshit. This is a lifestyle for a lot of those SCA types. Let him have his photo that best represents him. These schools are getting a little too sensitive. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

OOOOHH!! This is a Dork-conspiracy!! I've seen this thing happen between Trekkies and Star-wars types. Gets ugly. Nothing says "Gosh, I really want to step over this ledge with this rope around my neck." like being caught between two nerds from different "Dimensions" at each other for dork-dominance. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

I think Greybeard was trying not to be smug. In the end, the OP found a website that helped debunk the conspiracy theory here. When it comes to research, as Greybeard hinted, the Libraries still give the best info. There, there are academic journals to read for free, various periodicals, up to date law books ect, ect. Few people here have access to these Journals as they cost to view (I'm an alumni, so I get them for free) on the Internet. The only thing you get for free here are Federal, State, and Local Laws within the .gov's. . .and the opinions and conspiracy theories. If you have to search on-line and its a factual research paper, you definitely should not be in a .net or .org, or you are going to waste your time researching the facts listed there. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

It is fake. There's even the Dominoes website for you to check it out on the last film. It's fancy advertising designed for the web-surfer. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

This is not a private corporation. The securities are held by it's 12 member banks but those banks cannot sell trade or loan out said securities. Therefore no profit is made. It may be a Govt Coporation, or even Public Coporation, but Ive never heard of a "private coporation", that's an oxymoron. Why is it wrong for these banks to have securities from the FED? What is this "control" you are worried about? All Central banks of the world trade with each other. The whole theme with the FED is valuation of money as is other central banks. What is with this website? Are they really basing their arguments on Philosophical Semantics? _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

???? That seems about exactly backwards...at least to me. What I meant to express is backing the dollar with metals is placing the value of the dollar the same as the metal. This does not reflect true value and this method will cause collapse. What's wrong with using metal itself as currency? Simplest explaination is: Metal value is based on how much of it you can mine. Dollar value is based on how much it can buy. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
