This is probably chicken little stuff. . . Since the early 90's Alternative medicine has taken an increase in popularity. Also, a lot of foreign alternative medicine has found its way here. What the Proposal is trying to do is get the FDA to review all the Alternative Medicines and see which area they should fall into: Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic act under CAM(complimentary and Alternative Medicine) or PHS (Public Health Service) act. From there, depending on which Act the product falls into, they will be scrutinized accordingly. Which means, as usual, if a product can harm someone, it's going to be regulated. If not, whether it's fluff or has real healing power, it'll have free reign.

cops fail to stop drunk drivers from killing all the time. They don't get fired. Even the Chief responsible for the particular jurisdiction doesn't get let go. I have it. About a 4 Degree curvature lumbar area. It doesn't mean anything unless it's a serious curvature. Most are asymptmatic. One of my sailors has much more curvature in his spine and was allowed in the Navy. You need to consult with a M.D. who specialized in this. A chiropractor is not the person to deal with this. This is in the ream of real medicine, not the Aches and Pains alternative stuff. Edited to add. . . If it hasn't been picked up by her pediatrician by now, there more than likely isn't enough curvature to ever worry about it; especially if she passed the bend-over tests. The docs can see my slight curvature when I do that test and I have never had any back problems or such ever. Personally, if I was trying to sell a miracle diet or even some snake-oil natural remedy, I would also attack the system(U.S. Medicine) that can easily expose the lack of credibility in the products. After all, the first one to make the counter-claim has the most precedent, right? Explaination of weight loss in these fad diets tend be be from the change of diet and less calories consumed.
