  1. I don't get what knocking the valve off a scuba cylinder has anything to do with skydiving, but it's fun launching his ass through the air to the little pool. Try PADISkydiver www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  2. I have to disagree. You want to pull at an altitude where there is sufficient oxygen also. Opening too high, such as on a high altitude load is not a good thing. But he has awhile before he will have a chance to do those. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  3. 1st grade teacher, Ms. Brooks, was having trouble with a student. The teacher asked, "Harry, what is your problem? Harry answered, "I'm too smart for the 1st grade. My sister is in the 3rd grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the 3rd grade too!" Ms. Brooks had enough. She took Harry to the principal's office. While Harry waited, the teacher explained to the principal what the situation was. The principal told Ms. Brooks he would give the boy a test and if he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the 1st grade and behave. She agreed. Harry was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he agreed to take the test. Principal: "What is 3 x 3?" Harry: "9" Principal: "What is 6 x 6?" Harry: "36" And so it went with every question the principal thought a 3rd grader should know. The principal looks at Ms Brooks and tells her, "I think Harry can go to the 3rd grade." Ms. Brooks says to the principal, "Let me ask him some questions." The principal and Harry both agreed. Ms. Brooks asks, "What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?" Harry, after a moment: "Legs." Ms. Brooks: "What do you have in your pants that I do not have in mine?" Harry replied: "Pockets." Ms. Brooks: "What does a dog do that a man steps into?" Harry: "Pants" Ms. Brooks: What starts with a C and ends with a T, is hairy, oval, delicious and contains thin whitish liquid? Harry: "Coconut" Ms. Brooks: What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky? The principal's eyes open really wide and before he could stop the answer. Harry says: "Bubble gum" Ms. Brooks: "What does a man do standing up, a woman do sitting down and a dog do on three legs?" The principal's eyes open really wide and before he could stop the answer. Harry: "Shake hands" Ms. Brooks: "What word starts with an 'F' and ends in 'K' that means heat and excitement?" Harry: "Firetruck" The principal breathed a sigh of relief and told the teacher, "Put Harry in the fifth-grade. I got the last seven questions wrong." www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

  6. Surely you didn't mean just a freeflyer. Which ever discipline you are good at, just stay away from the drouge should the TM let you exit with them. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  7. I was wondering who's camera Lexa was using! And to piisfish : Lee isn't at Lodi anymore. Not sure of his where abouts...... And Tim leaves for home in SA on wed, with his new AFF rating. Thanks Paul.
  8. So how much experience is recommended? Thats a very hard question to answer. IMO it really depends on the skydiver and the skills they have in a smaller winged suit. For them to have TOTAL control of the smaller wing suit, including flocking, and be able to deploy perfectly every time they fly the suit is what I would recommend before stepping up to the S3 or the V1. 9. Symbiosis is local and probably your best bet. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  10. But the Phoenix Fly beginner/intermediate wingsuit that will be released next year will be Awesome
  11. HELL NO if you asked me. Way too much wing for the first timer IMO. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  12. These are NOT BEGINNER SUITS, so if your jump numbers are correct, PLEASE get instruction on something with less wing before stepping up to this suit. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  13. Another way we would normaly signal for a trail plane to climb out, after checking the spot, is to have the spotter lay on their belly and do a BIG wave with both arms to signal the spot has been checked and that the trail plane should start climbing out, visibly seen by the floater on the trail plane. Unfortunatly, sometimes radio communication doesn't get relayed to the rear of the plane fast enough, and this seems to have been the case in this instance. I hope the floater that had to let go, didn't have to worry about the plane that flew a low pass, on top of finding their way through the low cloud layer too? Be safe. 14. I'll be there at Lodi Saturday And I think Jason will too, I have the crack...um... I mean suit he wants to jump. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  15. He chopped his wing because he had a stuck zipper on his left arm after opening. His opening was great and on heading, but after trying for a short time to get it unstuck (there was fabric stuck in it) he did just as I trained him to do and chopped it, so he could steer back to the LZ and land. Good eye Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

  19. Turns out that Jason (aka. WeakMindedFool) doesn't live up to his name after all! Instead, he did an awesome flight on his 1st hit of the nylon crack! After waiting for the weather to clear in Lodi, we chose to head to Skydunce for the training and jumps since it was clear there, about an hour north. The weather was a chilly -10 at 14000ft, but the jumps were well worth it. Here are a few pics including a sunset shot as we were packing. Welcome to the flock Jason. 20. Clear enough to see your right, it is PINK. Let us know how it flys! Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  21. Good to jump with you also Dominic. And yes, the first jump was fun, but the rest were.....ummm.......interesting? Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  22. I'm not looking for fights. You seem to be the one that is confused. What I am looking for is lowtime/non istructor jumpers that have NO IDEA of what they are talking about GIVING ADVISE to someone that is trying to learn. The tunnel will help with all aspect of his jump, including his exit. Being more relaxed for the jump and knowing he will be able to remain stable will help him center his focus to being stable on the relative wind as he leaves the plane. I HAVE seen it done by quit a few students that have been to the tunnel. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  23. Though I wasn't there for the camp it was great to run into you again too!
