    Tonto Exiting with slow or no air speed, just keep your head high, use arms out if you wish, or bring them in as Kevin does in these pics. As you exit and keep legs bend and not extended, so it doesnt throw you head down. Look at the attached pics I took of Kevin when he came to see me in Lodi. Have fun!     Absolutly! Here is a pic just as I was moving in for it too! Close proximity is always more fun, as you can carve the formation back to land, as you see we were about 1/2mile out over the ocean in Monterey

    Never tell someone they should rely on a radio for guidance under canopy, students sometimes fail to hear the radio commands given and there are times the radio simply fails. They MUST have comprehension on how to fly the canopy, and MUST understand the correct pattern BEFORE getting on the plane with their own rig on.     I have thousands of jumps without a helmet on and not one riser strike to my head. I wouldn't stress the issue, but I can tell you it will strongly effect your hearing in time.....huh, you say something? The only time I wear a helmet with an audible is on AFF jumps for the unpredictable student, or when I was doing competition. Thought I'm rebelious for people saying you MUST wear a helmet when you jump, it is probably safer, but I'd probably fight to my death to make it a freedom of choice!
