  1. Thanks, but you should ad "WOMEN" to that also. Just thought I'd ad that before Kim Griffin saw it. You'll have to try make it to the Big Way I'm planning on the West Coast this summer. I'm getting a list together for an "Invitational" if your interested. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

  3. IMO, trying to conseal one will get you even MORE unwanted attention. Be honest and forward, before it goes through their system, about what your carrying and things may go smoothly for you. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  4. I've never ran into that problem so I have no comment sorry. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  5. Probably Unfortunatly some TI's are let loose on the paying customers BEFORE they can exit stable and rely on the drogue for stablity. Better exiting techniques, PRACTICED WITH OTHER SKYDIVERS ACTING AS STUDENTS, before they are let loose to take the general public.

  7. I personaly always carry on 2 rigs by myself with no problems. I have 1 over my shoulder and 1 in a small suitcase that fits in the overhead bin. I ALWAYS let them know, before it goes on the Xray conveyor, that it's a parachute for skydiving. The most customs or TSA has ever done was swab it for explosives and asked me if there was any type of co2 devices in it, and a few have even said, under their breath, "Hell, I don't know what to check for on these things?", and them told me to have a nice trip.
  8. Tonto Sorry to hear of Taya's rig being opened. Please let me know if she gets it repacked and is able to jump it for wingsuit jumps? If not, I can bring my wifes rig for her when I see you guys.
  9. Dude, you don't have any type of renters insurance? It will cover your loss if you do, at least my home owners coverage does for stuff like that. I'll be there in Perris Jan 7,8 and 9th to give an BMI course and you may be able to fit into my black S1 since you lost all that weight if you want to use it? Are you gonna be around? 10. And what about all the phone numbers ya get on the $20 bills Dave? Or was that just for the 73yrold.... Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  11. Tipping is a good gesture, that you felt safe and had a great time, for the services they gave you. Some instructors may refuse the tip, but most will except, since they don't make a whole lot doing it full time anyway. Dont be shy, show them your gratitude for keeping you safe.
  12. Hmmm, I've always found the trucks on I-5 to be going no less then 80mph. as I go by them...... Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

    broken jaw

Nope. And thankfully no one will have the problem of having to be subjected to your Dad either! There was many times we wanted to wire your dads jaw shut! Give your mom a kiss for me too. Congrats on your new gear also.
  14. JP, why wouldn't you just take I-5 down to 46 to 99 to Bakersfield, then take 58? Taking 99 through all the small towns from Chowchilla to Bakersfield is alot slower IMO and the road on 99 is shit. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

  19. Sounds GAY to me? LMAO J/K... You should have no problems, just let them know it's a parachute system BEFORE you let it go through the Xray machine and you will be fine. I have NEVER had a problem with gear and I do fly alot with it. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  20. The expense is worth the experience. Try it once to see if it's something you'd like to learn how to do on your own.
  21. Thanks for the PERRY'S NAKED ASS WARNING! Now I know to have my hands ready to cover my eye's when I am watching it.... Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  22. Rule of thumb for canopies you plan on jumping with a wingsuit is, jump something you are used to jumping ALOT. Jump one that you can let open, all the way from your throw out to full inflation, WITHOUT having to grab the risers and steer through the opening. Do a search on here, I'm sure it's been discussed before. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  23. I'll also be looking for other wingsuit pilots to do some fun jumps with if anyone is interested?
