What you do in front of the mirror in your suit is your own thing Bro. As I have told a few friends with GTI's and S1's to add wing tip grippers, or extentions, to the suits they fly and they have found great added performance and manuverability. Designing and adding extentions to the grippers you have on your suit now, to fit your comfortable flying style, is something you might want to do maybe. I find my grippers VERY comfortable to fly.
-
The grippers on the S3 and the V1 are not fixed, and can be held or pulled out in any way that is comfortable to the pilot. Try different holds on the grippers until you feel comfortable with one you like. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Define legal pull altitude? If your referring to someone getting out at 5K and having pack opening at 2K, I'd have call them on that one. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

When I am doing a tandem, I won't usually let a low timer exit after me, as I don't need them possibly over the top of me when opening relatively high. They have been known to not take enough time for good seperation when going out last and tend to move around alot during freefall. Some TI's may let it happen, but I prefer not to. Another suggestion: Ask if you can sit in on the Instructors meeting in the morning before jumping starts and bring up the shouting issue to the entire staff? They may have some good input on how to stop this issue also. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Accident summary for inexperienced jumpers pls.
bodypilot1 replied to Groundbound's topic in Safety and Training
My advise is to go to a few different DZ's in your area, get some Instructor references, inquire about the gear they will a rigger to see if it's safe student gear, then choose the DZ you like to get your training at. -
Accident summary for inexperienced jumpers pls.
bodypilot1 replied to Groundbound's topic in Safety and Training
Not sure what info your asking for, but from my experience as an AFF and Tandem Insturctor for the past 12yrs and 4000+ students are as follows: Tandem student injuries: 1 dislocated arm, he was 84 years old and the wind pressure made it dislocate. AFF student injuries: 1 broken ankle from flaring at about 50ft and landing on uneven ground. 1 back compression fracture from along with broken ankle from flaring too high and not doing a PLF. 1 torn ACL on down wind landing. Hope this is what you were inquiring about? Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com -

Smile and take longer, then when they are on the ground ask them "How was your spot?" Exit when you have ENOUGH seperation for the discipline your doing.

Plan your dive and dive your plan. This can be dangerous at times when you lose sight of the other flockers in your group. When this happens, it's good swooping practice and it will enable you to fly your suit with more control when your flying with your wings collapsed.
