  1. We'll see. I buy that sentiment as genuine coming from him as much as I would if I heard it come out of Rush or Beck. I agree that finding common ground and not being polarizing are the ideals and I try to do it in every conversation I have that unfortunately devolves into politics; however, I do not think Washington is capable today of being anything but polarizing, and this kind of rhetoric is either: A) Straight bullshit for bullshits sake as it's expected of the President to talk that way, and he expects tomorrow to hold no changes. B) Half bullshit and he wants to get the people calling him to stop, while he and his crew continue to be as polarizing as ever. I really wish there was a C) but I don't see it. Of course I could have misread your post entirely and you meant it as sarcasm, in which case well played sir. Peace, love and hoppiness
  2. Not my cup of tea either way, but whatever floats your boat go for it. Peace, love and hoppiness
  3. Oh and it appears Sen. Lautenberg is up to his old tricks and not letting a good tragedy go to waste (Please don't take that remark as me making light of the horrible situation, just a criticism of individuals who would capitalize on one.) http://www.cnn.com/2011/OPINION/01/12/lautenberg.high.capacity.clips/index.html?hpt=C1 He is introducing legislation to ban those evil hi-capacity magazines again. I'm sure he hasn't had a good night's sleep since the AWB sunsetted Peace, love and hoppiness
  4. Being reactionary beats being reasonable any day in Washington it seems. I've shaken hands with my rep while carrying and the world didn't come to an end. Peace, love and hoppiness
  5. I agree wholeheartedly. People have been quick to put the blame on the political ideology they don't personally hold all morning and it's absolutely absurd. If he ends up being a right wing nutter he is not a representation of the republicans or the tea party/palin supporters and if he ends up being left wing he doesn't represent democrats/progressives. The only commentary I've drawn is that clearly there are people in this nation who are disgruntled with our government, myself included. But whatever his motivations for wanting the congresswoman dead his attempt at voting from the rooftops in all likelihood could have never been served to meet those ends. The voting box still works and for congressmen/women there is a revolution every two years. Peace, love and hoppiness
  6. I would just rather have air travel not be restricted by unnecessary and overly intrusive acts serving no other purpose than to justify peoples government jobs. I would hardly think that's an unreasonable stance. Peace, love and hoppiness
  7. I don't think people feel it's an entitlement to have air travel their way. I think people just have an expectation that given the importance of air travel in this day in age the government wouldn't be so quick to install such draconian procedures in the name of security theater. 8. The first one is a c-119 flying boxcar and The second one is a C-97 right? Peace, love and hoppiness
  9. PT shorts and a bathrobe. What else do people wear at 1PM on a friday. Peace, love and hoppiness
  10. In a physiological meaning of course getting a beej is still sex, the patterns of the sexual response cycle are still constant despite not having penetration. In the metaphysical sense, which I guess you're asking about, I don't know, but it should be in my opinion. Peace, love and hoppiness
  11. Reconnecting with some wayward friends and trying to not get so drunk that I can't wake up Saturday morning and start off the new year right by plunging out of an aircraft. Peace, love and hoppiness
  12. Oh well look at that, a legal way to see the ceiling breathe. ~probably~ not as rewarding as Acid by any stretch, but I got a kick out of it. Peace, love and hoppiness
  13. Finish up my A card, get a B License, attend a boogie or two, and maybe do a balloon or helicopter jump when I have an appropriate level of experience. I'm Going to be in South Africa in June for study abroad and I'll like to jump while I'm there. Not lofty goals by any stretch, but I'm not really a lofty guy. Peace, love and hoppiness
  14. I think someone could make a Kyllo argument about this. The government is using technology not available to the public to do warrantless searches...isn't that exactly what that case was about? Peace, love and hoppiness

6 Presidents more unconstitutional than our dear leader...I'll take a stab at it. Thomas Jefferson Abraham Lincoln Chester Arthur John Adams FDR Truman What did I win? Peace, love and hoppiness
  17. maybe some ice...or maybe some conditions for life people hadn't thought of before... whatever it is, I would bet reasonably large sums of money it's something so boring you'll regret you invested time you won't get back watching the news conference. Peace, love and hoppiness
  18. I just got done reading this article for my foreign policy class and I thought I would share it here. Iraq was the pariah of the Bush administration, and assuming rightly so for him being too bumbling to get his neo-con cronies under control. However, this article has a different perspective. In order to find blame for the "cataclysmic event" of Iraq in the eyes of Alasdiar Roberts, we need to only look in the mirror. I was a little put off by the premise at first as I am a civil libertarian (what Roberts calls a "neo-liberal") and directly at the root of the problem in this revisionist view; however, I have to say it was pretty well argued and was worth the 15 minutes I took unpacking it. http://www.britannica.com/bps/additionalcontent/18/27264702/The-War-We-Deserve There is a "view full PDF" button on that link. Enjoy. Peace, love and hoppiness

  20. I really doubt there has been any study done in academia to answer that question for two reasons A. Because I just spent 15 minutes looking for one and B. Because even in Humans there is no agreement in what "multi-orgasmic even means, in fact there are 3 (quite contradictory) sexual response cycle models...even the best of which (in my opinion), the Masters and Johnson model denies the existence of the multi-orgasmic male. If I had to guess, and I have to because I can't find a single academic source for the length of orgasm in pigs (despite a pretty good review of the literature) the colloquial data shown is a (most likely exaggerated ) representation of how long ejaculation takes to complete in pigs. Probably more info than anyone cares for, but you asked. Peace, love and hoppiness
  21. I knew it would be Boortz before I even opened the link. I wish he would tone down the anti-islamic rhetoric and class arguments, but you have give it to him for being just as quick to criticize his own religion. One of the few talking heads who actually centers his arguments on his solutions to the problems in the country instead of just bitching about the problems he sees, he makes for interesting listening at work if nothing else. 23. To save anyone else the googleing here's a link on the incident. http://www.bostonherald.com/news/offbeat/view/20101118viewer_doesnt_think_bristol_palin_has_a_shot_on_dancing_with_the_stars/srvc=home&position=recent One of the more funny things I've read in some time. 24. From my understanding of Ԥ 44920. Security screening opt-out program when an airport opts out the contractor enters a contract with the federal government for them to foot the bill. So maybe this is actually viable, especially now that the TSA has unionized. Peace, love and hoppiness
  25. Even if you buy into the idea that all people who wish to do bad things on flights are Muslim, the problem is that Muslim does not equal Arab. Lets recall the panty bomber and his race for a moment. Being more wary of people because of what they look like is ridiculous, what should be suggested is not scrutinizing people based off of arbitrary appearance cues, but behavioral ques that indicate bad intentions.
