Of course give that same drinker a few months to really explore the expansive world of beer (starting safe with characteristics they enjoy already, like you said) and I'm pretty sure you can make a hophead out of them eventually. It has seemed to be teleological that a drinker will eventually head that direction given enough time to enjoy all beer has to offer Peace, love and hoppiness

There's nothing lowly about beers outside of the craft/micro scene. There is a reason why they still hold the majority share of business in America and rightfully so with how the history of adjunct lagers has meshed itself into our culture and become as American as apple pie. I may have misrepresented myself posting somewhat esoteric brews in my introductory post, but I can still throw back high lifes and bud diesels with the best of them, and there's nothing wrong with stocking a fridge with adjuncts if that's the flavor you like. Respect beer. Peace, love and hoppiness

I did indeed say homebrew, and I hope the people at Skydive Atlanta share your enthusiasm for my concocted libations once I actually do something warranting getting my name up on the beer wall. Peace, love and hoppiness

I understand the stigma about beer in cans. It brings up images of keystone and natty ice nights. But like you're saying, great beers can come in cans too. Founders brewery, arguably the best brewery in the US, serves several of its products in cans. Also I'm glad to see two fellow "stoners" showing up early in the thread, I might have to make one of my oaked arrogant bastards the next brew for tonight. Peace, love and hoppiness

I see there have been a few of these threads before, but are kind of older and it seems micro/craft brewing has become infinitely more popular and accessible so things may have changed. So I'm curious DZ.com. What is your favorite beer today. Myself? I'll drink anything, but at the moment I'm drinking a Terrapin Oatmeal Imperial Stout. other favorites include Petrus Aged Ale Houblon Chouffe Piraat Ale St. B's abt 12 terrapins the dark side Also I'm still pretty new to this skydiving thing, but the only qualification for satisfying your beer obligations at my DZ (or so I've been told) is that you bring in "24 bottles." With that in mind, what kinds of beer are more normal to be brought in when beer is owed. I'm a homebrewer and I'll have a batch of a DIPA done bottle conditioning when I get off AFF and a steam beer when I'm done getting my A license, but I'm curious what is normal to see in beer fridges at DZs Peace, love and hoppiness

Obviously not much of a skydiver yet, but one thing I do feel comfortable calling myself is a homebrewer. Just had a brew day yesterday actually, it's going to be a clone of terrapins coffee oatmeal imperial stout. Peace, love and hoppiness

Just wanted to update, I did my AFF 1 on Saturday as planned. Gary is a fantastic guy and I enjoyed talking to him and having him as one of my instructors for my jump, and my first jump course instructor, Hoop, did a great job preparing me. I had a blast and I hope to keep this AFF train running this weekend Peace, love and hoppiness

Publisher posts warning labels on the Constitution.

The immigration thing didn't even cross my mind, I'm just at a loss of words for why anyone would feel this way about our constitution (for U.S. users that is, I don't have the foggiest idea what users from other countries feel about it.) I just thought, before today, that despite any political views, we as Americans were in pretty solid agreement that the Constitution, while imperfect, is just about as good of a framework for a national government as there could possibly be. I guess I was wrong. Peace, love and hoppiness -

© Wilder Publications 2008 This book is a product of its time and does not reflect the same values as it would if it were written today. Parents might wish to discuss with their children how views on race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, and interpersonal relations have changed since this book was written before allowing them to read this classic work. Do you heros believe the primary operative legal document for our Government warrants such a label. story: http://www.cato-at-liberty.org/2010/05/06/a-warning-label-on-the-u-s-constitution/ Peace, love and hoppiness -
Thanks for the responses, I'll try and scope out Gary when I hit the DZ Saturday. Staying upbeat is not a problem, I couldn't be more excited about this opportunity, it's literally all I've been talking about the past few days. I think I might be able to wrangle some friends and relatives to come along and get into the sport as well. Why anyone wouldn't want to jump out of a plane at 14 grand is beyond me Peace, love and hoppiness

Hi guys, greetings from Atlanta. I only have 1 tandem under my belt so far that I did a while back. I have been watching these forums for a while now trying to absorb info and I thought it was time to say hi. I'm planning on starting AFF this coming Saturday at Skydive Atlanta (only about 30 minutes away from my house.) I'll be doing the AFF progression a little slower than I'm sure most do because I'm trying to combine my entry into skydiving with paying for school out of my own pocket, but I'll get there eventually. Thanks for the great info available on this website, and I hope to see some of the DZ community around as I start getting into the sport. Peace, love and hoppiness
