  1. It's set for late Dec, I think from the 27th onwards. But will find out, and let you all know. There is a website it's almost complete, which features a video with all other activities to do and palces to stay. You'll be hearing from me soon. Till then, Big Blue skies. Courteney. ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  2. Howzit, Just to let you know that there's a Boogie planned for Dec at Swakopmund, Namibia. Some good aircraft are being arranged. The website is not up and running yet but when it is, you'll all be the first to know. Till then, Take it easy. Courteney. ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  3. Woah!!! In Namibia, you need 500 jumps min and a D-License. Plus be able to hold a stand-up for +-5000'. 100 jumps min is ridiculous IMO. ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  4. Just hope that's not the one that I'VE ordered!!! ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  5. Cool man, Thanks...that's all I wanted to know. Like I said, I understand the reason for the mods and one day I'll use them...till then just wanted to know if I could jump. I hear that you must just arch a bit before you dump. Any advice on that? Adios. ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  6. Hey there, Just ordered my first wingsuit, a Birdman GTi. Now I've only jumped once but it was pretty successful. It was with a 100" bridle, 28" PC with a dynamic corner mod. Now I know and understand the logic behind it but can one jump successfully with "normal" equipment safely? I don't have a second rig and my wife wouldn't appreciate me modifying her rig.
  7. Howzit, As has been suggested, check your lines, brake lines to make sure they are even. Leg straps even, legs even, (that was pretty amusing). If it still turns, get someone to jump it and see. My wife has same canopy but no such problem. If it still happens, send it back. Cheers. Courteney. ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  8. Congrats man!!! Having recently wingsuited for the first time ever a few weeks back I know how you're feeling. Still super stoked. I exited @11300' and opened @4500' with 53" ff. my average though according to Pro-Track was 79mph. Going to order my first suit soon if all goes well. Cheers. Courteney. ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  9. What? You mean to say you don't know where your accelerator sits on your canopy?!!!! Why it's above that thingymebob!!! ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  10. Try driving to the Station Backpackers in Koln, Germany, with a map that shows the road splits in two and it's on the right...but when you get to the fork you are happy to find it splits in THREE and you're in wrong lane and take a detour back over bridge not once but 3 times. Maps and signs mean shit!!! ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  11. btw...I'm talking about cats you perverts! ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  12. I don't know, could be the fact that it's my last night shift and it's 05:05am but that was fucking hilarious!!! Had to wipe the tears from my eyes. There is some fat pussies there. ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  13. That's just one of the many reasons I love Skydiving!!! Where else in the world would you find, an Electrician, Casino Manager, Metalurgist, Carpenter, Doctor, Physiotherapist, Engineering Manager, high school drop out, bum, Musician, IT whizz, etc all sitting at a bar pissing it up being friends. It's the Sky that binds us!!! ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  14. Have you ever heard the expression: "He/she thinks the sun shines out of their arse!" ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  15. Fuckin Hell!!! Impressive...but what impressed me more bout the vid was how that guy managed to squeeze those sized balls into that wingsuit!!! HAHA ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  16. In total agreement there! A guy once told me that I hooked a little low on the previous jump, (did a chilled 90degree hook to a cool landing), jumping a Stiletto 135. Meanwhile on his previous jump he does this huge 270deg hook so high that when he planes out he loses all speed and lands straight in and level on his arse...I think it was a 99 Xfire2. His landings were so docile I couldn't figure out what the point was jumping that size. Ego...and I'm not talking about deoderant! ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  17. Not as glad as I am that you could fit me in. :) You were pretty busy...hopefully not with anymore "monkey" AFF students. Haha. Take it easy. ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  18. Hey man, Sorry to hear bout your friend, hope he'll be ok. It's my experience that NO ONE is as good as they think!!! Safe swoops. Courteney. ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  19. Hey hopefully I'll have my own suit and I can join ze flock. Where are you at the moment and excuse the ignorance but what does IMO stand for? ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  20. Ja, but it was a safety thing! Firstly my Stiletto doesn't always open on heading and after seeing that mod and pilot chute with that moerse long bridle, my old Javelin with it's tiny PC and shortish bridle paled in comparison. It made alot more sense to jump the modified one. NEXT TIME!!! ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  21. We made sure everyone was well aware of it. Like I said, we planned it. Yep that's the place...haven't seen SOUL FLYERS DVD yet but they were there for a coupla weeks...it is in the desert. You should drop in sometime. ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  22. Thanks, yeah I don't suggest doing a lot of firsts at once but I was used to the rig it was just the canopy that was new to me...but it's more docile than my Stiletto 135 so it didn't bother me at all. ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  23. Hey Eric, Guess the mod works hey!! :-) Thanks again. ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  24. Howzit, I'm proud to announce that I did my first wingsuit jump this past Sunday at JSC...which was my first time jumping at JSC and my first jump on a Safire...shooo...that's alot of firsts. BEERS!!! It was an incredible experience and one that I'm planning on doing again and again sooon!!! Thanks goes to Tonto for all the organising and time and an awesome experience that I'll never forget. I'm still smiling!!! Free beer to Tonto when next you're in Swakopmund. Cheers, Courteney. ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
  25. We planned the jumped pretty well. My buddy has a shitload of jumps and is the best FFlyer in Nam. (he's actually a freak to see in the air) So he was the Ballmaster. Almost caught it like 3 times but altitude got the better of us. We are lucky to have plenty of space to play over...hell we probably have the largets dz in the world!!! Come to Swakop and you'll see what I mean. ...drags me down like some sweet gravity!!!
