  1. Exactly. If they meant black African-Americans, they should've said that (which seems wrong to me for reasons some of you have already stated). They tried to be PC about it and then get pissed when someone calls them on it. Ridiculous. Pammi
  2. Depends how badly you want her there. I say yes, you buy her ticket. It's a lot to ask for the 'honor' of being in your wedding to spend that kind of money, particularly if you don't have it. Pammi
  3. Always proud to show pics of my "babies" (12 and 8) Pammi
  4. Money, like a lot of people. Relocating after Merrick was out-of-work for so long ate up all of our savings and getting back to where we were financially is just not happening right now with him not working IT anymore. That's something I've thought about too, Andrea, that I would hate to have the kids see me get hurt (or I hate to say it, worse). Merrick and I being down to one rig is actually a good thing for right now. We take turns jumping so we're not on the same plane, and we're lucky enough to have the other down there if something were to happen. Plus one of us can entertain the kids playing board games and such with them. 'It does prohibit staying long after the beer light's on tho. I think even after we get me another rig eventually we'll still probably not jump together often because of the risks if the plane went down. It'd not be worth it. Pammi
  5. What a cutie! I think my cat could take him tho Pammi
  6. Woohoo! Strippers last weekend were kinda ugly (well, they WERE strippers tho, so I couldn't help myself from passing out the dollars), so I appreciate that! Nothing better to cheer up a day! Pammi
  7. Wow, this thread got huge while I was away! Apparently I'm not the only one ;) As to making others get pissed off, I think that's back to the #3 rule, or a variation thereof. Bitching about a thread that you don't like, rather then just not reading it (especially not JOINING it!) I'm not forcing anyone to read it in the same fashion that the lady who ripped my ass on the phone today for a really dumb reason was forcing me to have to listen to it. See? But for those who would like to get me back for this thread, too late. I came home to a letter requesting my presence for jury duty. Nice! Pammi OH, BTW, BKDice, you rock, cuz that's a really good one. Animal abusers suck. And I'm glad someone asked about reach-arounds before I did!
  8. Bite me. I told ya it was in the mail, geez! Not my fault if it got lost!
  9. I'm feeling in a very pissy mood after a couple of very rough days at work and feel a need to vent. Join me if you like! Things that pisss me off: 1. Mean people! No excuse or reason for it. If you're having a bad day, I'm sorry, but suck it up and be civil! 2. Lit cigarettes thrown out of car windows. You are the one smoking it, dirty up your own friggin car and use the ashtray! 3. People who say "we've already talked about this" or "you're reposting" on the forums. So? In the 3+ years I've lurked here...damn near everything's been talked about at least twice. Just skip the thread if you aren't interested! Duh! 4. People who won't let you merge in traffic thereby causing you to miss your exit or making you exit where you didn't want to. See #1. Quit being a$$holes. Is having one more car in front of you changing your life THAT much!? Okay, I'm better. Join in, let it out..you'll feel better! Pammi
  10. I still have a little time left before I have to worry about it, but they are certainly getting older. It's occurred to me a lot recently. She just turned 12 and our son is 8. But it's really cool to watch them getting such interesting personalities. Although I think Merrick's influence is going to cause me headaches since they are both such smartasses already! The teenage years are coming quickly...please someone put out the instructions on how to handle them soon! Pammi
  11. That's so great!! My mom at least will listen about the jumps now, whereas before she never would even want to hear anything about it. I don't see her, or any of the rest of my family for that matter, ever jumping tho. Dad possibly, but he's getting pretty old and frail for it. My two brothers would NEVER in a million years....they told me. Pammi
  12. Thanks! Sorry too, read that you'd said 6 weeks before I'd asked and just missed it. Or maybe it was just that I blocked it since the thought of 6 weeks when your married and it's readily available sucks! Pammi
  13. And also, how long before you can have sex again? (both oral and traditional) Pammi

    Tattoo's

Out of curiosity, do you know why they say not to use neosporin? I've heard that from three diff tattoo artists - NO petroleum-based product. So with Merrick's on his back, we did the zinc stuff they recommended until it healed, and now lotion, which I agree that I think that's more about keeping your skin healthy which in turn keeps the tat looking nice. I'm wondering because his isn't done yet, so the next time he goes, I thought I'd ask more specific questions to the artist about it. Pammi

    Tattoo's

Definately, think about it. I'll admit, I have two of my three that I'm not thrilled with. Too flashy. One of those still has meaning though, so I'll prob'ly just try to get it touched up. The other is just cheesy, but oh well. I've never been ashamed of them nor had a problem with them at work, but they are not just out there in your face either; usually are covered. Pammi

    Tattoo's

I'd be a mess if I knew someone who could do tats and piercings whenever I wanted one! Oh, and neosporin(sp?) isn't great for tats I've always been told (or piercings). Sounds weird, but the diaper rash cream stuff is what I've always been told works the best for the first few days. Merrick has lotioned his tats religiously that he got over 10 years ago and they still look fantastic, hardly any fading or anything. He was told once that it would keep it nice, and it seems to have! Now I get to lotion his back for the rest of his life since he has the back-piece now I guess! Pammi
  17. Skyhi, granted I'm sitting here getting drunk (not to the boobies and baby oil phase yet), but I loved the post! It reminds me of everything I love about skydiving. No offense, but all of the talk about how our parachutes work and how well I'm progressing in my skills bores this the shit outta me. My parachute works, I know, naive of me, but someone else is getting paid to figure out why and how, I will just learn to fly it. As far as my skills, I would rather not kill myself or anyone else, but other then that, I started this to have fun and that's all that really matters. Some of my best jumps were the most fubar'ed crap that ever came along, SO much fun. Glad to hear you're having a good time and not taking it too seriously :) Pammi

    Coffee

No coffee?! Nope, couldn't do Atkins then. Bad enough I'm trying to not drink beer for a while to lose the holiday weight + 5. You can't even drink black? I'd be one ugly hateful woman without any caffeine! Oh wait...I already am with Pammi
  19. That's the truth! I bet I could almost guess where it happened too...there are a few areas out there that you will ALWAYS get yanked. That's all I can think when I see a cop and I'm speeding...dammit, do you know how many jump tickets that'll cost if you pull me over?! Pam

    The Apprentice

Sam reminded me of a nervous little chihuahua, but seems to have balls. I don't think he'll win, but David was just 'off' somehow to me. He was just a little to arrogant. I was very surprised the women won on the lemonade though. With all of the over-thinking and bickering amongst themselves I was sure the guys would beat them. On the other hand though, I'm thinking some beautiful women on a street corner is going to sell more lemonade then a bunch of guys in suits. It was interesting but I certainly have no desire for that kind of life. I guess I'll never be rich if that's what it would take! Pam

    Southernisms

The one I think is so funny since I moved here is how if someone is drunk they are "Slap up". What?! Pam
  22. Oh yeah! Looks just like Kris too! Pam

    I'm done

I'm so sorry to hear that Derek. I'm really glad I got the opportunity to meet you in the past and thank you for the help you've offered me as well, some really great advice. Good luck to you! Pam
  24. Okay, so where's the pics with Skreamer? I know there have GOT to be some seriously messed up ones with him in it! Pammi
