  1. Too funny. Just said something to Merrick about how we have it good, that we seem to be happy 97% of the time. To me that also implies, "can't live without him/her". No one is happy with someone 100% of the time
  2. EW! I'd have to become a vegetarian! Pammi

    Baking

Love to cook, but hate to bake. It's all just so touchy! Like my V-tines dessert...a brownie on the bottom, white chocolate mousse on that, then carmalized bananas on top of that (chocolate sauce on the side). It was yummy! Looked like crap tho. The mousse was somewhat runny when I took the 'spring form' pan thingy off the side (didn't even know what those were) so I had to hurry and put it back on. Ah well. I'd much rather find a complicated dinner to make! I'm actually good at that! Pammi
  4. Wow. Thanks for the heads up Tammy! We have 3 dogs and 3 cats that all have to get the flea treatments and I thought about buying it in the store to make it cheaper recently, but ended up buying Advantage online instead since it was what I'm used to and it works so well. I'm glad that I did now! I hope your baby is doing better. Pam
  5. I doubt either of us will enter the contest, well I know I won't - I have ideas for how I want to look, but I don't think I have the time or motivation to look better then everyone else that enters. Anywho, what about the having to do cardio in the morning? Is that a requirement for it to work (since it says on an empty stomach) or can you do it in the evening? I just don't see myself sticking with driving to the gym 15 mins away at 5 in the morning. I'm the type who sets her clock forward so she can hit the snooze 3 times before getting up! I do like the idea behind BFL though. Too low carbs makes me a very unpleasant, tired person, so that didn't work for long. It'd be nice to find a healthy program that works to finish off what I started last year! Pam
  6. Um, what about everyone else on the road? There are a ton of crazy-a$$, non-thinking, morons going too fast, weaving in and out of traffic, talking on the phone or just plain dumb that I worry about every time I drive! I'd much rather be in the air with a few others! Sure, there are still some stupid-a$$es, but fewer of them and I can generally spot them from a previous load so as to stay away from them! Pammi
  7. It's amazing what we don't appreciate until we see what the options are in other parts of the world. People actually doing things that would never even occur to me, yet they are doing them.
  8. Depends on how important your job is to you I'd say. It's one of the things that aggravates me, but I also see both sides of. While I didn't think I should be judged for my nose ring while interviewing for a job, I was. I needed the job, therefore, bye to the nose ring. I wish it weren't true, but it is. I hate growing up! Pammi
  9. How does anyone turn this kind of thing around? Education is a start I'm sure, but some people either don't want to be educated or don't believe what they are hearing. What else? Is it something, like one of the articles mentioned, that the next generation, who will hopefully have a more enlightened view on things, has to fix? Imagine how many people could die in the meantime, assuming these children don't die themselves! It's so sad. Pammi
  10. A question, because I'm the first to admit that I'm not as worldly conscious as I should be. Does anyone know if it's true that many South Africans believe that if they have HIV, having sex with a virgin can cure them, which leads to many men having sex with children in an effort to cure themselves? I thought I had read something about that a year or so ago. A very terrible situation all around regardless. Pam
  11. That thing is up to $46 bucks! I need to get out some of my old crap and sell it on Ebay with a good story apparently! Pammi

How weird! I just found a link for that yesterday and emailed Merrick that I wanted to go VERY much...that exact one too. Let me know what you guys think! Sounds amazing (and nasty!) Pam BTW...you suck that you're going!
  13. Good point. There are a lot of factors that can make one unsafe besides just currency as well. So should someone who has a balls-to-the-wall, I'm indestructable attitude be told to find a different sport? I consider them pretty unsafe as well. That's just one example. Another good opinion. I really don't care if I'm stuck doing solos indefinately until our situation changes and I can jump more, no matter how long it takes. I'll never quit completely. Deal with it. I do it for fun, and it's always DAMN fun. Simple :) I'll stay as far as possible away from you if it concerns you, no problem. Yeah I want to be able to jump my ass off one day, and someday, I will. (and it has nothing to do with weather...I've jumped in January while it actually snowed in the airplane at altitude.) Pam
  14. Beat ya...17 and 21! Yeah, I'm a dumbass. But on the upside now I'll be very young when they are grown! (10 more years until they are both in college and I won't even be quite 40 - not that I'm saying it's a good idea to get married and have them that young!!) Pammi
  15. As someone who works with it every day, I feel for ya. It seems to think it knows what you want, regardless of what you REALLY want! Let me know, and I'd be glad to TRY to help. Pammi
  16. OMG!!! Apparently laughter gets rid of them though!! LOLOL!!
  17. ROFLMAO! A little weird eh? hehe
  18. Ah yeah, the hun. My old DZO gave us the link to that site. Go figure Great guy! Pammi
  19. Well they're wrong, it DOESN'T get rid of hiccups. I just tried. Pammi

  24. 1972 Hornet, in 1989. I could hardly find 'regular' gas for it , there was a cinder block with foam over it as the driver's seat, it didn't go over 35 (and we lived in the country) and it didnt' have heat. $50. LOL! Pammi
  25. I absolutely can not believe this post got so little attention! Maybe everyone was just busy doing their searches....? Pammi
