Hmm..Absolut Pepper Vodka in a good spicy Bloody Mary Tequilla in a margarita..I don't care what kind..I'm cheap :) My fav is Parrot Bay rum tho. And for any margarita lovers out there, I got a recipe from a friend yesterday for supposedly the best margaritas..I haven't tried it yet. I can of frozen lemonade mix 1 can of beer 1/2 cup (or whatever) of tequilla 1 can of 7-up It says not to put it in a blender or it will end up on your ceiling, to mix in a pitcher. Let me know how it is if anyone gets to try it before I do :) Closing pin necklaces!

Thanks Tee, and Aggiedave :) It's going to be an emotional few weeks leaving behind family and friends ... especially our home DZ friends! It's going to be odd knowing we won't see them very much after this, and we all know how much things change at a DZ when you're away a while. We did contact a company that is supposed to help us find a home (kinda) for a fee of course :p Kinda pisses me off, cuz I was going to just call people in the newspaper with ads, and there are a few I probably still will, but a lot of the ads had this companies phone # rather then the landlords so you HAVE to pay them to get the info on where to contact them. Scotty is such a sweet guy, and funny as hell! I think he'd take more offense to my calling him sweet then any stories we could come up with - I might ruin his 'reputation' It's hilarious how he hangs out the door at take off, his face flapping like a dog's in the wind, the way he is always reminding us to check our handles and the way he pitched in to help some of us get some fantastic coaching, then cooking for us in between jumps! I'm very glad I got the opportunity to meet and jump with him :) Closing pin necklaces!

Thank you thank you thank you guys!!! It's such a good start on this! I think the dogs will be the biggest part of finding a place to live. If we could do the apartment thing, it'd be much simpler. But with them, we need a house with a yard that allows pets. There seems to be a lot of ads in their newspaper, and if it comes down to it, I can call a few of them just before we go and look at them when we get there (live in the U-Haul for a couple of days). It'd be nice to have something kinda ready tho. Thanks for the info on areas too Chuck :) I have been kinda looking at the different areas, what they say they are 'like' and then pulling them up on mapquest to see how far they are from the DZ :) hehe That info will help a lot in what to tell people I will start trying to call when they ask about areas :) Good luck to you too Skycat!! Well, the U-haul is reserved for June 1st and we're trying to figure out where we're gonna live. Can anyone from that area tell me of a few good rental companies or some such I can contact to get info? I'm not really even sure how to go about this yet...this is a first for both Merrick and I moving so far away...so how does one go about finding a place to live in such situations? Maybe a company that you can tell what you want (a good place for the kids to go to school that accepts pets for a reasonable price since we'll both be looking for jobs AFTER we get there *shiver*). Advice on how to go about this? (The positive thing is that the kids will be with their father for a month after May 29th so we can get things settled before they get there!) Thanks!! Me too Jess. Relieved really. Merrick and I finally have a plan. We're moving to Raleigh June 1st. Unless, by some small miracle, he gets a fantastic job offer, we're going there to make our fresh start. It's nice to finally have a plan, and be going somewhere that we've both always wanted to go. Sorry Slappie that you're getting a hard time! I wouldn't be able to do this sport at all if not for Merrick paying for all of it when we first started dating, then using his credit to buy my rig and so forth. I think people who stick with it under more difficult circumstances are true skydivers. It's harder for those who have kids, lower finances, etc and that much more rewarding too! Hmm...there was this odd gal that I worked with a while back who put a little red dot on her calendar to mark 'that time of the month' - she was doing that 'rhythm method' thing for contraception...not having sex during certain times and so forth. She was an evil bitch, so a friend and I put little red dots everywhere on her calendar to confuser her and put those little pieces of paper in the hole punch in her desk drawers :) Closing pin necklaces! -

Renuzit carpet freshening foam helps a lot. There's one called Wonder Pet or some such. And you don't have to vacuum or anything, you just let it stay in, so I'd think it might work well. When I first got my Himilayan he found a 'spot' that he 'used' a couple of times before I broke him on it, and nothing else got the smell out. New pin jewelry!

I'm with ya Magistr8. 0:0:0 But on the up side, we have our canopies in, my new reserve is being put into my container and not much longer until Merrick's container comes in.
