Wednesday my best friend of 15yrs left w/her Air Force unit headed back to the war and she wont be back until Jan/Feb. If your mate has truely set his mind to this then nothing you can do will change his mind.Religious beliefs are very serious and emotional subjects. It sounds like you have already decided that you will be no part of his religious endeavors;thats fine and understandable that you have your own convictions. This has come in the middle of a long relationship, so you have to make the choice to either agree to disagree about religion, or follow your paths without one another. If you two can find a way to agree to disagree,then I think you two will be just fine together. I was involved with an athiest for awhile and we decided that, if I promised I wouldn't try to convince him God existed,then he wouldn't try ot convince me that He didn't. In the end it worked out well and our parting of ways had nothing to do with religion. If you just cant put it behind you and accept it, then the parting of ways is unfortunately best. You might take a look at your mates beliefs just to understand them better, but do not change your own just to be with him. Yeah I'm just SOL on this one. Guess I just wanted to express my frustrations. I live out in the country 20miles from the nearest town on 76 acres. Our nearest neighbors are over a mile away. This isnt the type of place you can just drop in on them because you'll likely to be mistaken for a tresspasser and met with a shotgun.Most country neighbors are very friendly, but we cherish our privacy dearly.Thats part of the reason my family loves it out here..because we know there won't be any unexpected visitors and no one knows when we're here or not b/c of the way the property is layed out...very private.Yes, there are ups and downs to living in the country in TX. I frequented a few clubs and bars with a group of girlfriends for awhile, but they have all since coupled up and as I said,my last remaining single friend is leaving to go back over seas w/her military unit.I might have gone alone if the nearest club/bar etc wasn't 60miles away in Dallas. I recently sold my cypres and for the most part had an excellent experience w/the classifieds. I had several inquiries who,after replying to their questions,just disappeared.There were a few that decided it wasnt worth their time b/c it wasn't being sold through a rigger or gear dealer for verification,even though I said I'd willing provide the SN, but oh well.It was still sold and the entire money transaction,shipped/received unit was complete in under a week from the time I posted the ad.Classifieds on DZ.com rock! But I agree, its just common courtesy to reply to any/all inquiries. I spent more time replying to inquiries to tell them that the unit had already been sold than I did talking to the purchaser lol.
