  1. What if your closing loop breaks during exit? If your closing loop breaks during packing, you waited too long to replace it. Jurgen
  2. And a 7 cell canopy packs smaller than a 9 cell canopy. Jurgen
  3. The electra (PDF) is comparable with the silhouette (PD). Jurgen

    VIGIL

Not grounded anymore. Nevertheless it was just some panic reaction to ground it without even knowing why the unit fired. It was an experimental version, not even a betaversion (experimental software) and the cutter just did what the experimental software said. And it was a sponsored testjumper. So every time a testjumper from let's say PD or Icarus has a cutaway, USPA will ground all their canopies and here at DZ.ccom we will say that their canopies suck and should be banned? I don't think so. So if it's still grounded, why is it not anymore on the french website? Sorry but know the facts before you shoot. Do you prefer the cypres, vigil, mars, astra ... , it's a personal choice, but please keep to the facts. Jurgen

Chrisky: it was not a beta version, it was an experimental version. The French skydiver was / is the testjumper. Jurgen
  9. I have one. They are okay and made of quite strong fabric.
  10. "Floppers can drift in all (360 °) directions. They will drift only in 1 direction. So I follow Hookswoop. Just keep a fair distance between the groups and keep the normal exit order. Jurgen
  11. I jumped a stiletto 135 (500 jumps) and have now a vengeance 120 (800 jumps) I'm very happy with the canopy, great openings, very good swoops, but if you need to you can make very flat turns and land it on a very small spot. The canopy likes sloppy packing, do not pack it too neatly, because otherwise this will give you unpredictable openings. Airlocked or not, it is a great canopy. Jurgen
  12. could someone explain how a pretty minor impact (you hitting it) to the BOC can damage a cypress?? ---------------------------------------------------------- see page 15 of the manual: [url]http://www.cypres-usa.com/english_users.pdf
  13. Dave, ask me this question next time when you are at the DZ. Jurgen
  14. Years ago I saw such an altimeter in Poland. It was used by accurracy jumpers.
  15. Hoy Kurt, contact Ilse Van Bouchout at Zwartberg or Schaffen. She is dealer for Fire fly in Belgium. Jurgen
  16. I do not think that there is an high pressure gas container in the cutter. The piston is driven by gas just like a bullet in a gun. The gas comes from an explosion from the propellant.
