Every now and again I agree with Trump. His statement “They’ve been fighting for so long, they don’t know what the fuck they’re doing” was spot on. Now you should deport him to El Salvador for being a Palestinian sympathiser.

It’s a fair question. You don’t choose to be black, but you can choose not to be an arsehole. I’ve had a terrible experience with evangelical Christian’s. My mother has disowned me because I asked her to stop telling me “Jesus loves you”, I’ve met some really nice people who are more traditional Christian’s. Sincere and well meaning. I do think there’s a bit of a persecution complex from the Christian community. Most people don’t really care, provided we aren’t expected to follow someone else’s beliefs.

As a kid my first exposure to Americans back in Zimbabwe was an American Prosperity cult pastor and his wife. Even as a 10-12 year old it made me angry to see how they exploited the poor. Promising that god would reward them for “giving”. Of course they drove around in the latest Merc’s and had a huge house in an exclusive neighbourhood. They were obsessed with Pat Robinson. A few funny events with them though (in hindsight). Pastors wife sitting me down and telling me it was against god to have long hair as a man, she read from the bible verse that included women shouldn’t have short hair - she had short hair. I hated church and only time she told me I was really “filled with the Holy Spirit” I was stoned. I got caught with a “girly magazine” at about 14 and they got the congregation around to burn it and cast the spirit of lust out of me - the magazine wouldn’t burn! That freaked them out. She got knocked up with someone’s kid cheating on the husband.

I joined dz.com back in 2002, as someone in my 20’s and still indoctrinated by my evangelical parents I used to argue with Kallend about merits of Christianity. Over the last 20 years I’ve come to detest evangelicals. They are truly a poisonous lot.

This was interesting. Went to an art exhibition today on misinformation and disinformation. One of the exhibits was on the truth behind women’s liberties in Iran in the late 70’s. Apparently this was a major slogan/ rallying cry by the women and means “freedom isn’t free”

One of my all time favourite jokes. Donald Trump is meeting The Queen, and he says to her: “As I'm the President, I'm thinking of changing how the country is referred to, and I'm thinking that it should be a Kingdom." To which the Queen replies. ‘I'm sorry Mr Trump, but to be a Kingdom, you have to have a King in charge - and you're not a King." Donald Trump thought a while and then said: "How about a Principality then?" to which the Queen replied, "Again, to be a Principality you have to be a Prince - and you're not a Prince, Mr Trump” Trump thought long and hard and came up with, "How about an Empire then?" The Queen, getting a little pissed off by now replied, " Sorry again, Mr Trump, but to be an Empire you must have an Emperor in charge - and you are not an Emperor." Before Trump could utter another word, The Queen said: "I think you're doing quite nicely as a Country."

As an American how do feel seeing the Mexican flags? I was chatting to a friend in LA last night and he says it’s all being blown up by the media and life is going on normal. That it’s just a relatively small area affected. He’s in Long Beach though.

Does anyone understand why the Mexican flags in the LA riots? It seems like the most idiotic move you could make. It gives credibility to Trump’s argument of an invasion and undermines the message of “we are here as Americans and for the American way of life” I’d imagine it would be confronting and possibly even offensive to many Americans seeing a foreign flag being waved as American flags are burnt, regardless of your views on Trump and immigration?
