He’s a better artist than human being.

I took it to mean that if a country is trading with Russia you guys will tariff them 100% on their trade with you. If done correctly, secondary tariffs could be a useful tool. Of course Trump and competence don’t really do together.

Why the fuck do people keep striking his ego? Donald Trump has once again made a major sporting event all about himself — this time by keeping the official Club World Cup trophy and a winner’s medal, while the actual champions were handed a replica.

Forget weed, that’s some strong crack if you believe the US has rule of law. Masked men who refuse to identify themselves, grabbing people off the street? In a country with the rule of law you don’t do what that arsehole did. But I get it “only pure bred, blonde, blue eyed Merikan’s” are welcome.

Interesting turn of events in the Epstein files. Jon Stewart did a piece on how it’s biting Trump in the arse as he rose to power by feeding conspiracy theories and is struggling to put this back in a box. He also said Trump calling them “phoney” is a huge tell. Now Trump has gone on a rampage saying the Epstein files are fake and created by Hillary Clinton and Obama. As a side note, I do believe the extremely rich and powerful do get to the point where they justify extreme cruelty and illegal behaviour. One only has to look at the data on how many CEO’s are psychopaths etc. I’m not saying it’s all of them, and it’s definitely not along party lines. Look at Diddy and also the young women who are used as entertainment at sex parties in the Middle East (most recent news I saw a young woman was dumped with a broken spine and other bones).

https://youtu.be/b-D2I5tE898?si=jc4cLDysPhVqJcR3 That’s scary and fascinating. Not sure if you can watch this BBC series online, but it’s a really good storyline on deepfakes and AI..

Sad to say I think that’s some American bias. I think the US is the single greatest threat to world peace (at the moment). USA, Russia and Israel are all top contenders. Gone from leaders of the free world to leaders of the Theocracies and Lunatics.

Iraq WMD story all over again. Pentagon just learned about search and replace in MS Word.

I hate it when Trump gets his way. But unfortunately at least on luxury items he’s actually been successful in “the original country pays the bill”. There’s been a fair amount of grumbling as some brands have raised global prices so that they can absorb the tariffs and not pass on the increase to US consumers. Birkenstock (think that’s the spelling was the one that got lots of headlines).

Dry counties and Walmart stopping selling Alcohol on Sundays always amused me. Honestly if some of those people in the Bible Belt went to the Middle East they would feel quite at home.

There are lots of gods out there. Jesus is a brown god so not quite sure which one he’s referring to

So in around 50 years the US went from segregation to concentration camps with a little detour through DEI and equality. I wonder if the next step is just killing them? I mean it’s cheaper and easier.

In 250 years you’ve managed to get pretty extreme :) Interestingly, last night we were watching a Second World War documentary. Globalisation has been rather a short lived experiment. (although this analysis was made after quite a few whisky’s).

Help him out a window or donate radioactive underwear?

Trump is nasty and malicious. I’d say the odds of Trump removing his citizenship are greater than 50%. Elon can be deported and I’m not sure his money would stop it - he wouldn’t be sent to El Salvador though

I detest Musk, but having 2 parties drives extremism and I believe it would be best to have some competition in the mix

Don’t regret your oath. You put your life on the line for the people and country you love and cherish. I’m not going to pretend that I think it will come right, but I hope that you’ll find peace and a way forward in the country you now live in.

https://spookyconnections.com/2024/10/19/donald-trump/ This is a fascinating read about Trump.

Torn rotator cuff and tendons, broken orbital, torn bicep, broken at the elbow as well. All on my dominant hand so lots of fun and 4 months of no driving so far. Who’d have thought my worst injury after 30 years of motorbikes and skydiving would be in my house :) Long story short it was like a scene from Monty python. Son went into psychosis and attacked me. Sitting on my back and punching the hell out of me, and screaming it’s just a bruise you pussy. He had no idea or recollection afterwards. Getting this tattoo over the scar :)

Interesting article Wendy. I think we’re at a pivotal moment in history and I agree Trump is just a chess piece rather than the central figure. US influence on the world is weakening and I think most countries are looking to diversify their alliances and trading away from the US. Unfortunately, I think it’s going to bring tough changes for the US, probably more than for the rest of us. I just hope the US doesn’t lash out militarily as a last gasp at holding onto their power and influence.

Definitely top of the list if I can. At this point I can only just do an Elon Salute, and not looking like I’ll be able to get full range of motion on my arm.

You’ll need your MAGA registration card for tax breaks.

Earlier this year I got injured and skydiving is probably out of the question for me going forward. I recently got a drone to play with - it’s load’s of fun but not the same as being in the air.

Not sure if others have found this, but we’ve been rediscovering old recipes and it just struck me how cheap some of the old staples are. My son does a great spaghetti bolognaise. We’ve had the news covered extensively by the triple mushroom murderer. She made Beef Wellington with death cap mushrooms. Unfortunately that means every day the news has a great looking picture. End result I made one yesterday. Today used up the excess pastry to make Cornish pasties (I miss the Cornish Pasty shop at Marylebone station). It struck me how cheap they are to make (carrot, turnip, potato and steak). Despite the Aussie claim to have the best pies, as with Vegemite they are kidding themselves. Melton Melbury pork pies, steak and Guinness pies, Cornish pasties are hard to beat.
