  1. 1. "post moved" image tag doesn't have 'width' and 'height' properties defined. 2. "Click here to log in" on the front page keeps bugging me when I try to click on "log in" only to find out that the link is only under "Click here" Hey, I'm suffering from a hangover under overcast skies... I'm entitled to whine about little things! I think I'll go visit a local bar now.
  2. Are you sure the bots haven't been able to crawl the forums? Some time ago someone posted a message where he quoted the 'who's online' page, which showed a few dozen registered users, and 150(or some other ridiculously high number) of guests... I know DZcom has been becoming more and more popular but that popular? And I don't think it's all that common to see over a hundred guests here? Just some random speculation on my part.
  3. >A (very experienced) skydiver gave me the tip to use two >closing loops. I've been doing so for about the last 100 jumps >without problems (I have kevlar cables instead of a closing pin). > >What are your opinions on using two closing loops? What rig are you using? Can you post pictures of your system? I too think that the increased complexity of the system weighs more than the increased security of a 'backup' loop. It's so easy to change a worn closing loop that I see no reason to re-invent the wheel.
  4. Ok. The cars are ugly as hell. But what kind of a person would spend all that time on making website like that??
  5. >for deployment i made a small static line freebag the >size of a school kids milk carton. it is to be velcroed to >your helmet and then static lined. This I have to see. I'm sure the cameras will be rolling when the jump takes place... Let us know how it went(and upload video to skydivingmovies.com)
  6. >Good Morning/afternoon/eveing everyone. Who are we aggrivating today?? Good morning! Today's topics have included among others tan-lines and hangover cures... The topic right now is Nacmac's new sig. I'm signing off now, have a good weekend! I might pop in again later today if I'm not somewhere getting senselessly drunk...
  7. >Besides, 1 hour of record breaking skydiving on a dial up server....naw... Well damn. A VHS-cassette in regular mail will have to do then... Hey, don't you think you should change your sig now that you're Carpal Tunnel? (edit for typo again...)
  8. >Ooo i just thought of one good thing in winter...no mosquitos Man, we're so lucky aren't we!
  9. >>"C'mon Nacmac you're usually quicker than that! " >> > >Have you been speaqking with Mrs Nac? >NTSC or PAL? If PAL, I could send you some of my 'Art' >in the form of flat people falling..... PAL, but why don't you upload your art to skydivingmovies.com?
  10. It does show that you're an engineer... Whereas I, I am an artiste! edit: And I can see dp1| is one who appreciates fine arts...
  11. >I can't save it as a jpg/jpeg on my machine - it wants to be an html file Open the image, then right-click it and select "save image" or similar. If the browser suggests a name with an .html ending, just change it to .jpg and it should work fine.
  12. Well damn you, Nacmac! Umm, like, mine's better? Note the careful cropping, the fading of the background, and the adjustment of brightness/contrast to better bring out the essence, the soul of the puppy.
  13. >Does anyone have software with which they would be able to >make it small enough to use (around 8k I think)? Sure. Just post it here and I'll resize and crop it for you.
  14. >Oh well. I am off. I have things to do You do?? Have a nice weekend then!
  15. >Sunbathers on theTuffet, swoop them once and they might just learn.... Well yeah, but to swoop them you'd need a plane load of skydivers who are lazing on the tuffet.... BTW, the 'parental figure' has now fixed the profile problem.
  16. >My friends are quite happy to lie on the beach and rotate for >hours. I get bored. I can lie there for maybe 10, 15 minutes >tops, but then I have to do something. Exactly the same thing here... Staying put isn't a whole lot of fun. Last summer I was constantly trying to kick sunbathing people off the accuracy tuffet. The weather was perfect for skydiving, but a dozen people just lay in the sun complaining "It's too hot to skydive". WTF? Won't help the 'too hot'-part if you lay in the sun! It was a pain trying to get a load full of people...
  17. >Yup it was her. She discribed them as looking like this (*)(*) That looks ouchy. I never really understood the tanning thing. I just catch as much tan as I can under my 20 SPF sunblock.... I'd rather be white and pasty than red and sore...
  18. >don't think sunblock will help - ice cubes later might just though I'll help you with that...
  19. >Yeah but when I was growing up the babysitters taught me all >the bad shit to pull off while the parental figures where away Hmph. I never got any cool babysitters. The few times one was needed my folks would call my grandma. She did not, for some reason, teach us "bad shit to pull off".
  20. >true, but do you like to work when you're on vacation? Now see, work is something you make money out of. Dropzone.com doesn't do that AFAIK. So it's got to be a hobby. >making sure the cat still has four legs and the house hasn't >been burnt to a crisp yet. LOL Well there are always the babysitters...
  21. >as long as we don't p1ss off HH We talked about this yesterday. This is not a politically correct thread, so it's 'pissed off' not 'p!$$ed off', and 'asshole' instead of 'a$$hole'. If you insist on using such words that is.
  22. > Going for 1000 posts are we? I guess that's unavoidable.
  23. >I'll try my best to scan the article and PM you on it. Me too, if you will.
  24. I've seen him on the 'who's online' list almost every day. You know there are computers all over the world.
