  1. >So digest, consider and give me an aswer. I am serious I will organize it!! I might be visiting the States next spring, but right now I'll just spend the winter trying to pay off my new rig and saving some money...
  2. This from a handy norwegian pocket-guide: sec: feet/sec 1 : 16 2 : 46 3 : 76 4 : 104 5 : 124 6 : 138 7 : 148 8 : 156 9 : 163 10:167 11:171 12:176
  3. I will... when the damn camera I ordered two weeks ago arrives!
  4. >Aw man, you are formally issued with a "stop card" for >dangerous work practices, and bad hair! You ain't seen nothing yet... At the moment I'm a blonde! >No face guard, or hearing protection, dude you are lucky to be alive!. Livin' on the edge man! Extreme!
  5. >If there's ever been a thread on dz.com that made me go >"what the fuck?" - this is it. My thoughts exactly.
  6. >what has happened to the daily funnies? >They seem to have disappeared since this thread started. Written jokes can't compete with live comedians I guess...
  7. Well damn. My export settings were a bit messed. I'll post the full-size pic.
  8. >well at least your bedside lamp made some sort of sense, but >carrying my pc tower around with a bunch of clocks? Yeah, I was wondering about that... Are you sure he's a real geek and not just pretending to be one? I mean, that's a complicated and impractical solution to a non-existent problem. A proper geek would make up a complicated and impractical solution to a real problem. The attachment shows me implementing a straightforward solution to a uncomplicated problem at my DZ clubhouse a year ago.
  9. >This would also have the effect of increasing the earths temp, >giving us more blue days! > >Everyone wins! Except the Dutch...
  10. >I ask you, with tears in my eyes ..... is there hope for these people? No. We are hopeless.
  11. "Just some people from the misty islands I think left a mark in the history..." I never said I liked them or that they did any good to anyone. But they'll be remembered!
  12. >I just got even better idea, why wouldn't we bring the closest >star and put it in our solar system, so we'll have two suns and >of course two equators No, sorry, I don't think that would work. Since the Sun doesn't revolve around the Earth, but rather the other way around, I don't see how that would work; We can only orbit one star at a time. So the solution would be a dual-sun solar system, but then the suns would be at the same place when viewed from here; sort of defeats the purpose. Not to mention the inherent instability of the orbits of satellites in a dual-star system. We'd probably be flung out to cold interstellar space(not good), or sucked in to the suns(not good) in no time at all... But of course, as a mad scientist, you're supposed to have evil impossible plans... Maybe your idea is worth trying after all.
  13. >My carefully constructed plans were foiled when the Head Honcho >removed the possibility to send subliminal messages... I didn't say anything. No, there's nothing to see here, I didn't say that! Who would do such a thing?? Move along, move along....
  14. >Heretic!, Traitor!, Treachery! See? I told it would get a lot of reaction!
  15. >Ok, Erno, STOP fucking with my sun for goodness sake. No probs, it'll be some time before I get to that... My carefully constructed plans were foiled when the Head Honcho removed the possibility to send subliminal messages...
  16. >So what are we all discussing today? Life? Liberty? Happiness? >sex? Skydiving? Boobies? Nahhh... We're discussing the new world order when I'm the supreme ruler of mankind. Read a few posts back to get yourself up to date...
  17. >Nacmac steps up to defend Remi from outraged royalists The say what nows? Hey guys... I think they got extinct some years ago... At least I'm pretty sure you can slander the british royalty all you want and no-one here will even notice. If you really want to stir the pot, how about badmouthing boobies and beer?
  18. >(...)California will become cold, but they are asleep right now and >won't notice till too late. Oops. Sorry all you Elsinore/Perris people, you can't win all the time. >The new north pole will be somewhere between the Marianas trench >and Hawaii in the pacific. Sorry Hawaii, but you've had it good for too >long. I imagine a new land of ice and fire here.... Oh, that's good, maybe the Icelanders will feel at home there then. >we are also proposing a new metric week, which will provide 5 day weekends. >All in favour say Yahoo.... yahoo! Boy, are the Americans going to complain! I was thinking I'd outlaw all non-metric units of measurements while I'm at it... And Swatch already has introduced the Swatch Beat time or what do you call it. I guess that could be used. >Now then where did I put my 'bloody big lever'.... Ask Archimedes, I think I saw him walking off with it a couple of days back. He was muttering something about "showing to them all" or something like that... (edit to add) And Nacmac? You just earned yourself a post as the Imperial High Engineer.
  19. Perhaps the "Switch to basic editor"-button(see attachment) will do the trick?
  20. >Ozzy Osbourne, the prince of darkness!!! How could I forget! I'm so ashamed.... On a related note: I tried to watch "The Osbournes" last monday, but it was boring as hell. Ozzy does the prince of darkness stuff pretty well(and the songs are great), but I think he should've stayed off the TV. >Shakespeare did write some impressive stuff Don't tell me you've actually read Shakespear? Finnish translations or the original?
  21. >this many chilly rainy days with no hint of the sun in a row in >the month of October. We're going on 10 or 11 now. I know exactly how you feel. The weather here absolutely sucks this time of the year. I don't think we've had that many days in a row... But we have a bonus! It's also getting really dark! In a month there will be only a couple of hours daylight/day. At least we wont see the crappy weather.
  22. >Don't think that little plastic orange one will be sharp enough >to cut your risers or lines. Webbing under tension is very easy to cut even with those little orange knives. It slices through with almost no effort. But this of course only if the knife hasn't been abused by being used to cut pull-up cords, shoelaces and other assorted stuff. And there is probably more than one brand of little orange knifes. I'm starting to think that one of those aluminium knifes might be a good idea... I don't want to haul along a jack-the-ripper if I'm not jumping CF. Erno
  23. What he said. There are so few of us here at this time that we fit quite well in one thread with all our inane ramblings. Welcome to the NA thread!
  24. >I _do_ hope that you don't have in mind the pilferage of certain, as >yet unknown, amounts of "Sunny Warm Stuff" from us down 'ere ?? No worries Mark, when I tilt the Earth's axis so that Finland gets closer to the equator, I can take into account the wishes of my faithful minions. So does anyone have any objections if I arrange the new equator at approximately on the place of the red line in the attachment? edited to add: MWAHHAHHAAHHAAHAAA!
  25. ... except the story behind your nickname. Sorry!
