The "crew" is part of the fraud. The "crew" answers the phones, builds web pages, phone book adds, steal photographs, steals music, vandilise cities, conducts the jumps, flies the planes, etc etc. In todays information age, there is no VIABLE reason to work for such a company UNLESS the "crew" is Ok with aiding and abeting. In todays information age there is no viable reason for an individual in our sport to jump at such a place unless they like aiding and abeting. The "crew's" actions on the DZ are what gets the Airport Boards attention. As I see it, this won't be an access issue and USPA won't even need to address it, much like the issue they had and will have in TN.

OH, just like the books and the certification courses show? hmm, maybe they aren't so old and out of touch after all? ( the books and courses) If a T-I is jumping with a Student they should be Teaching and executing by the book! The book is about safety. With a licensed skydiver, as student and with prior cordination, they should be able to train and practice for "oh shit" situations. But this does not include hanging videoagraphers, vrw, crw or drogue bridal pole dancing for the closeted strippers.

FOX 5 NEWS story on the SKYRIDE scumbags
alabamaskydiver replied to CrazyRick's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Investigative reporters usually do not take "No" for ans answer. I wonder what the GA states attorney thinks seeing the story showing that the business is still going as usual even after they agreed and signed a court order to change? I bet that lady feels like a heel (if she has ethics and morals) aftre getting caught on camera lying. -
What are you serious about then? (in the review of the video) It just shows in that video that proffesionalism and ability where not how the rating was "earned".

City of Nashville vs Skyride court date set
alabamaskydiver replied to BillyVance's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Your saying Chuck, the manager of AST, and Ryan, the manager of the Skyride/Thrill Planet call center where together at the defense table? Well sounds like the "we are not skyride" argument will never be heard again. -

Sad news for tandem
alabamaskydiver replied to MakeItHappen's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Your part fo the old guard good ole boy network that has hurt the growth of this sport. Your editorial that hurt USPA by hurting Jans chances at re-election and current postings are more proof to that. Maybe you should sceam STFU at the top of your lungs while looking in the mirror. The industry needs to learn from this, and do it right. 20 plus year no issues with tandems, then one honest mistake and a mistake made from complacency have cost us dearly (well mostly SE and Ted, you know your friend). -
More and more are confirming the two "ragers" stories though. Sad as KL was pretty well respected till his self distruction on the BOD.

As for Ohio read the thread in GS about a sad day for tandems. In the US FAR Part 105 has a very unique line about INSTRUCTING the student on use of the deployment handles, again not applicable in the land downunder. BUT Your DZ, I think, makes my point. Your DZ was founded as a carnival ride. There is no provisions for advancing throught the student program. Of course being a tourist atraction would mean people are going to flock to it, like the amphatheator is a point of interest for large groups of tourists.

City of Nashville vs Skyride court date set
alabamaskydiver replied to BillyVance's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
There is no back loop in that skydive. It is just a poor job of flying by the "I" who is trying a leg lock instead of flying through the student. Note the video is in slow mo from the exit and of course several times in freefall, so no accurate measure can be made by time of the duration of freefall. The only "accurate" measure is the videoagraphers altimeter that shows exit and main deployment, all within the FAR's and BSR's, the only "violation" is the lack of an accesable altimeter for the student and that is a BSR for USPA issue. Now back on topic. The video and the recent court appearance by Owens and Berger clearly shows the direct connection between the DZ and Skyride. So all the "young" (read "new") jumpers who are going there and the older ones (read ones who should know better) have now lost that argument as it has been proven to be false. If you work or jump at the DZ you work or jump for Skyride. -
In the US Tandems are too be Instructional, where you jump maybe not. But those who choose to ignore the FAR's will some day be in a court room like the yahoos in Ohio. It is this poor instructional attitude of "carnival ride" that is why tandems have such a low retention rate. I think tandems should go away (unless they are MANDATED to follow a set instructional path.

alabamaskydiver replied to BillyVance's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The point was, the video clearly showed the direct tie between the DZ and Skyride, as all three DZ's have this direct connection, I think it negates all those arguments to the contrary. The skydive it self only has one issue and that is the lack of an altimeter on the student. The Exit, freefall (although short) is fine, the canopy landing is Ok as well (but with a better flairing technique i.e. actually finishing, the leg straps on both harness' will last a lot longer). -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXGL-_N7V5I You'll notice the stickers under glass in the video and the closing slide of the poorly produced video with stolen music has the same 1-800 number. Further proving the DZ and Skyride is one and the same. -

Nice try at redirecting the thread. Try this one. http://www.nashvilleskydiving.net/ or this one http://www.nashvilleskydiving.com/ or this one http://www.skydivenashville.com/ It is only slander if it is not true. Based on the court cases and actual released documents it IS true. As well as the THOUSANDS of FALSE and MISLEADING web pages, you FRUAD in the form of FALSE ADVERTISMENT. Keep backing them and you too can be in Cary's elete co-defendant crew. -
