It appears that Cedartown was not successful at evicting ASC and with their new partnership with Skydive Spaceland for supplying them with the Otter, it is business as usual.

There's not been any personal attacks, so there's no reason to ban anyone. Unlike a couple of other users here who aren't afraid to piss you off and accept (or don't care about) the repercussions of such actions, I exercise a bit more restraint and consider the reasons for banning and threads getting locked and (try to) stay within the limits set forth by DZ.com powers to be. Why not? Why can't you answer as to why you have to repetitively behave in disrespectful and/or wreckless ways? Is down playing the facts part of what your Skyride mentors and predecessors taught you? As for what Driver1 said about the position you hold as FBO, I would like to know as well, what qualifications do you have that entitles you to hold such a position?

Here's a hurt student and this was after you guys cleaned up the albums and after you got the disciplinary letter from Vic Johnson.

The system is broken since it is going to allow an "Instructor" like Jeff Fincher, who has no regard for the Students Safety, BSR's or FAR's, to be an I/E. These are documented. USPA has had to get involved, the FAA is watching him as a Senior Instructor at a TN DZ. This is who WE the MEMBERS of USPA are going to allow USPA's BOD to endorse as an I/E? This will be another Kip Lohmiller type set up. And look how well that has worked out! What does UPT think about this? The system needs to be more restrictive and is an I/E loses his I ratings for infractions the I/E rating go as well and don't come back.
-
You would be correct sir, the TI in the hanging tandem pics is Jeff Fincher. There was a bunch of those pics available before he got disciplined by USPA and he still does them. So the question remains, should he be an Instructor, TI or I/E of any kind?
-
Here is a prime example of an instructor who has been disciplined by USPA and should not be and I/E and not even an instructor. This is why the system is broke.

Post the Groupon/Sportations/Skyride URL's here!

I think this is a new one. It looks like you've already been there. http://www.groupon.com/deals/sportations-austin/posts -
I think the USPA I/E program is a sham, a failure to uphold standards and produce safe and confident Instructors. We now have a dozen more AFF I/E's than in the past and we are seeing a lack of ability in their Students in flying and Instructing. For Static line and IAD, as they are a dying and "Not Cool", the few who are "Graduates", they know little of its history and the lessons we learned in the beginning of this sport in regards to safety. Tandem? Well, all the graduates are just carnies. How many of the I/E's actually make sure the "Graduate Instructor" can conduct an actual category A and B jump? How many actually know that there are actual FAR's for Tandem Parachuting? Coaches? Most of them can't even fly in a rookie 4-way but they are now "Coaching" RW techniques? And then USPA doesn't follow up with disciplinary actions. How may I/E's have been found to break the BSR's and still hold ratings and run Courses? How many instructors have been disciplined for their behavior and then go on to be I/E's because they "played the game"? Of course there is a similar issue in the S&TA community, but that is another thread. If a member of USPA has been disciplined for violating a BSR, they should not be a rating holder of any kind.

Knowing where you jump, and who your rigger is, I am not surprised that Paiser did that.
-
Yep, it had to be a police lineup!! Good thinking Chris! Oh, and uh,, Don't you mean "Baby's Daddy"?

That's a hilarious thread to read, with the Sportations folks being forced to respond in such a nice, sweet manner to the scam accusations made against them. It's fun to watch how long it takes them to finally admit the location of the drop zone, and the type of aircraft available at that drop zone. Ha! You would be correct sir! That is some funny stuff, especially how they keep avoiding answering the questions by who I am assuming is Jumpdude and a few others. Those guys have got them on the run for sure! If we really want to do something that can help stop the crimes of Skyride, go to the following link and file a complaint. https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en

I see a bit of irony since Doug is doing tandem sales, and is owed big money by another tandem sales company, but even more ironic, is that Doug knows he and the skydiving industry do not need either company.

What is killing the sport of skydiving?
alabamaskydiver replied to cocheese's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You would be correct Billy. I occasionally hear some positive chatter about that very topic here at the DZ's and I've heard a couple of happy customers who got directed to Emerald Coast and Opelika talking about it when I asked them how they found the DZ. -

1 800 Skyride is killing skydiving because when the customer tries to use a GC, they find that is so difficult that they either never make a second jump or say fuck it and don't jump at all and tell all their friends that skydiving is just a bunch of bogus bullshit. -
Is Skyride getting in to the loan business?
-
Or that the Waverly DZ don't always have a plane available? According to their Facebook page, they have not had a plane in a while. by scrolling down their fb page, you can see several weeks that they have not had it. Maybe it's because Eloy has it?

Blue Skies Magazine Sponsoring a Skyride Boogie?
alabamaskydiver replied to Driver1's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Why make it easier? The site traffic makes them money too. Either Cary is getting bold or desperate. -
Just do a web search for 1 800 skyride scam and all your questions will be answered.

Blue Skies Magazine Sponsoring a Skyride Boogie?
alabamaskydiver replied to Driver1's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
While it's not feasible to boycott every company that sells to Skyride, it may be feasible to boycott any company that sponsors them. IMO, there's a difference between a company that sells to someone, and one that sponsors them. If a Skyride DZ paid the same price for a tandem rig as another non-Skyride DZ, sure, we may not like it that the company sold them the rig, but if they donated it under some form of sponsorship, that would be supporting Skyride and their criminal business practices and that's what needs to be targeted! ie; BSM. Again, that's just my opinion and not the views of Dropzone.com, it's management or sponsors! -

Rook's place? Hell yeah! In a heartbeat to avoid Hinckley!! -
The theme of this thread is more serious than most of us realize because having the only DZ's around is Cary Q's master plan. He wants to have the monopoly on ALL skydives that occur in the US, up-jumper, student, and tandem included. I'd quit and only jump when I travel to areas of the world that Skyride is not present.

Blue Skies Magazine Sponsoring a Skyride Boogie?
alabamaskydiver replied to Driver1's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I may be missing something here, but I believe I remember that you are in the 160th Special Ops Aviation Unit (SOAR), so why, if you are a soldier, and your job is to defend our nation against all the bad stuff in the world including crime against Americans would you turn your back on every moral and ethic that your job is to defend? Why would you commit the very crimes that it is your job to protect the American people from? You are openly involving yourself with a DZ that advertises like Skyride, and is Skyride, so that's the same as working directly for Skyride. And I read your PA on Napier, but what is a DB? I'm pretty sure that your definition is "douche bag", so am I right? -
