Before the 1800 Skyride scam, I would have said "No", but Cary Quattrocchi has proven that I could not answer they way I normally would.

It is my understanding, the City of Waverly HAS BEEN INFORMED of what to expect if they should end up getting kicked out of Cedartown and try to move their whole operation to Waverly. I really don't think the City of Waverly realizes that they (The city) will be the "laughing stock of the Skydiving world"(Quoted from the Cedartown Newspaper thread) and a lot of the rest of the news viewing audience when the news media runs stories about them and how the city supports the business practices of 1 800 Skyride! As we all know, news reports have been run in Atlanta, Connecticut, Arizona, California, Ohio, Utah, Tennessee and no telling how many other states about the scam being conducted, and if the info that I got was accurate, the City officials in Waverly have seen each and everyone of them, so when a news reporter shows up in Waverly looking for answers, I'm sure someone will be glad to share the truth about the city's knowledge of the business practices of 1 800 Skyride and their other company names and how they know about the reputation of 1 800 skyride and even though they knew the truth, they still chose to appoint Jeff Fincher as Airport Manager. I was told that he has a cousin or some other relative who is one of the city officials in Waverly.

I made a call to 1 800 505 JUMP today and told the lady that answered that I had a GC and wanted to schedule my jump for this afternoon in Waverly, Tn. She said they had a "beautiful sunset load with a couple of openings left" and went on to say that "I need to hurry up and grab a slot before someone else does because the sunset loads fill up fast". When I asked about the tornadoes and storms in the area, she told me they were not near Waverly and they were no problem. Anybody watching the weather knows that the storms are grounding most every DZ in the region. To no one's surprise, this is still happening.

I really don't know how to take this one other than to say this is just going too far into some other DZO's marketing territory. While we the jumpers know the difference, the wuffo probably don't. This one may not be considered "As deceptive" as the 1 800 Skyride sites or as sleezy as the PROskydiving sites, but I think it's still one DZO's rogue marketing tactics. So what about that contract Chicagoland? If the rumors are true, you don't have one, it's all a deal where they just send you your own customers with a GC, then you turn it in. I'm surprised, but I shouldn't be, that you have not yet answered this important question. So, what about it Chicagoland, Do you or do you not have a contract that legally obligates you to accept GC's from 1 800 Skyride?? Since it has been 2 weeks since this question was initially asked, We can assume that you DO NOT have a contract and you are continuing to accept the GC's from Thrill Planet/Skyride by your own free will. I suppose that your idea of being an honest business man is to accept the business and money from criminals. I hope you enjoy your cut of the scam money!

This is a very positive thing for our sport, Congrats to the Arizona Team and to everyone who helped on every level. I do have a couple of questions, First, Is there any information available about if they are going to extend any judgements or other litigation out to the DZO's who accept the 1 800 Skyride GC's for aiding and abetting as accomplices, and second, IS there any info about any effort to get their fake websites turned off?

That answer to that is quite simple, open the sport up to minors. There's a world of business to be had in the 14 to 18 age group, provided they are physically big enough to fit in the harness PROPERLY.

I've talked to several instructors who have been forced by ASC in Cedartown to do tandems until midnight. This has been done many, many times at that dz. So I'd say if there's a benefit, it is that the dz can get as much money out of a day's jumping as possible. Did anybody notice this one? Why should this be any surprise? They don't bother to abide by any State or Federal Laws, so why in the hell would any of us think for a second that they would abide by a rule (or guide line) set forth by a private entity? I don't expect anything less of those assholes. How come no one has challenged Fast Eddie Grantland? Fact: ASC Still does Night Tandems ASC TN is proof of that. The three Tandem Instructors USPA received the complaint about was CPT Josh Holer, Jeff Fincher and Taylor Smith. Fincher admitted to them after the fact as well as CPT Holer. Fact: Mike Gruell did night Tandems and only missed being puniched as the USPA investigation could not find eveidence till AFTER they sealed the case and dismissed it. Mike even admitted to it on DZ.com. Fact: Bill Boothe and Ted Strong have NEVER allowed Night Tandems, only exception is the Military and the first "non military" exception was the recent world record (but they where Military Active Duty so it kind of didn't matter), there was never a "gray area", the BSR's show that. Fact: Fast Eddie is lying.

That's no surprise! There's no way they can say they don't know about the scam they are helping to perpetrate. I just wonder what they will say when the Feds come knocking on their door and take the DZO and possibly the staff to prison? A few posts ago in this thread, You talked about the conversation you had with the DZO west of the Mississippi, I know of at least three other DZO's around the country who's in the same situation, All I can say to those DZO's is this, GROW SOME FUCKING BALLS, MAN UP AND STOP HELPING CARY BEFORE YOU FIND YOURSELVES IN PRISON WITH HIM! If I understand correctly, The Attorneys in Arizona are exploring bringing in the DZO's who do business with Skyride in as accomplices.

Well, finally we have a Skyride supporter getting in here to try to do the ole 4 "D's"! Don't even think you are going to divert, distract, deflect, or deceive the attention for one second! I called them myself last Thursday and they told me the same thing, so that was nothing but a wasted post that you just made! Go back and play with your Skyride buddies and let the big dogs discuss this subject!

Yes, we are very concerned that Mr. Lohmiller has damaged the sport and our Instructor Ratings Course systems integrity with the charge of Oral Sex for a Pass in a course. Yes, We are looking in to it and other complaints. To answer your questions, if found to be true and not just a "rumor" to harm his reputation then, yes, we will take disciplinary action. As to revoking Ratings we feel that it would only apply to the I/E and not the Candidates who passed, but yes we see your point on them being potentially less than capable. We too agree that as an association we have been set up for great liability, but as of now it is a few people speaking of a "rumor" and no one has come forward with an actual witness or any tangible proof. You are well with in your rights to ask your Regional Director to follow up more and of course go to another I/E for the ratings you may seek. It looks like a $224,652 admission of guilt and a plea to make it go away. But for that sum of money one has to wonder is the money drying up at SR? I am seeing where some of the TN staff is applying to work at other DZ's this year and not Waverly, wasn't this their 'new home', 'staying forever' blah blah blah?

I nominate MatthewCline, BillyVance, Cspencefly and Jumpdude for their dedication and diligence to our sport by getting the 1 800 Skyride/ASC/AST/Thrill Planet (etc) criminals out and educating the public about our sport and how to avoid being scammed by the crime being perpetrated upon our sport and others by Cary Quattrocchi's companies.
