Is that a fake story? When I was in the AF we had safty gram come down that said somthing about a guy who strapped a JATO to the roof of his car and didnt think to add a fuel cutoff switch and he slammed into the hill side. It went on to say his break were melted and he was burned beyond recognition! I believe some idiot would try this. jason

I uesd to really enjoy the holidays but now after having a little girl I dont really care much about them for me. I figured I 've had my fun so now its her turn. I tell everyone I dont really want anything and I'll spend everything on her. I think its more fun watching the kids get stuff. The only thing I like about them is all the food you get to eat and the parties. And I guess its not to bad hanging out with the family. jason

I understand that one warning is enough and that it is just a back up but I'm just thinking that even the old time outs had three signals. My point being that say these sell for 100$, I'll pay at least the 65$ extra to get a dytter with three signals. Thats been proven a very good device , Not that they are to rely on but to use as a backup. I"m just saying money wise if your going to buy somethng , get the most outa your money. Think about it if your going to buy a car would you buy one with just a radio in it or would you pay 50-75$ more for the same car with a radio/CD player in it. I know for me I'm about getting my moneys worth, as long as the product is safe. jason

I heard somewhere on this site that if you have a spandex pounch ZP is less likley to come out prematurly. I have a ZP that fits into a spandex and have never had any problems with it slipping out. jason

WOW...only 1 warning? would that even be worth buying. I've never heard of it but I'd sure like to here more about it. I know one thing, there where some questions a while back on diff altimeters and the main piont I got out of it was that if know one was able to give a good repor than that usaully means not a lot of people are using the product. So that right there that could answer a lot of questions unless this is a new device like the Skytronic. But then I've already heard enough stories on that to change my mind to a dytter or protrack. just my .02 jason

I bought a new Talon2 with the multiflex and love it. Its FF friendly , has no velcro, tuctab riser covers, and minimal (maybe 1/2") bridal exposure from flap to BOC pouch. Never had any problems with anything coming out of place and lord knows I've had my fare share of tumbles and minor collisions . Granted its probobly not one of the more "cooler rigs" but its a great fit and comfortable to fly. And after every jump I brush it off after packing and it looks like new every time I leave the plane

Holy shite!!. not 30 min ago we had a service tech from LA for our lasers up here and he said he was sitting on the plane with a guy who said he was out ther(in cal) with a group of amputee's (spelling) that skydive. He said (the tech) that he lost his right hand. I wonder if it was one of the guys in that photo . What a small world! jason

This actually happened where a guy somehow upon opening broke or hurt his back, his friend then locked his feet around this guys riseres and flew him back to the DZ. They both landed together flaring at the same time. The funny thing about this story is that when they landed the one guy yelled out to some spectators " hey can you give this guy a hand" and everybody started clapping.Thinking it was a show, Then he yelled "NO he needs help" and then people came to help. I saw this on REAL TV! The guy flying both canopys also had it on vidoe so it was cool to watch! jason

SKYDIVING TALK BACK: A general hang out for skydivers and whuffos. Whether skydiving related or not - this is the place to make idle chit-chat! Let's hang out! This is what is listed in the forums section, my question is,,are there any whuffoes here that do not intend on jumping but just like to hang out here and look around. Just curious!! Jason

Hey Diver that post isnt funny...Those vx and FX models are way to dangerous ....I know a guy at my DZ that flies and FX model and all the chicks want him for it. Now not only does he have to be carefull not to clash colors between his suit and canopy but now hes got safe sex to contend with. Mess with the VX/FX and your playing with fire (of the female kind)

Jump # 48 was my very first true spot. What made it really tricky was the fact we were landing in a park off airport do to Class B restrictions. We climbed out of a cessna doing a 4way. We were flying a southwest jump run and because of this we flew a little west of the LZ so you couldnt just look out the window and see it. The pilot just told me as he pointed through the floor panel of the plane "it will be right there". Opened the door looked around, saw it called the spot and out we went. Luck must of been on my side cause we all opened right over the top. (uppers were very light and nothing on the ground). Even got a "nice spot" by the other jumpers when we got to the ground!! It always feels good when you do somthing right for a change jason

Ok I have a question, if your out on a long spot I was taught to leave the breaks stowed and pull down a little on the rear risers to the best glide to make it back, however I have a friend that says no, you realease your breaks and then if you need to pull down on the risers to get back. SO which is it glide before break release or after. I 've been on some really long spots before and have always made it back with my breaks stowed and my legs pulled up. jason A-38658
