Two words: SHI......TEE!!!!!!! jason

Well I'm happy to announce that I took my wife out shopping on SUN and told her we are not going home until ALL the X-mas shopping is done. 5 hrs later DONE!!!! Now the minotinous task of wrapping the damn things.. My wife asked me what I wanted for X-mas and I gave her the new para-gear catalog I got and told anything in this book. I dont care if its just a bumper sticker.!!! jason

I have to disagree. What if on a RC set up the PC get caught in your burble, hooks on something and then the Dbag takes off. Now you have a horseshoe mal. I know it may sound far fetched but weirder things have happened in this sport!! jason
-
As soon as I figure out how to do that. Do you E-mail it to HH or how does it work!! jason (700 posts and still doesnt know what the hell hes doing.)

I Know this is bad but I cant wait any longer. jason

Hey man its like you said, if ya want it bad enough you'll get. May take a few weekends at home instead of the DZ to study but then look at the trade off!!! jason A-38658 "Like I always said, if you put your mind to it you can accomplish anything"-- George McFly! But then he also said "What if they tell me its no good.....I just dont think I could handle that kind of rejection"
-
Nathon.....just look into a mirror and say to yourself.....I'm good enough......I'm smart enough.......and dawgone it...people like me!! jason

I saw on a video at our DZ a jumper who had some kind of pullout method it looked like on the right side of his harness just under his armpit below his cutaway handle. They said in the vid that he made this specail modifacation himself. He is a world class freestlyer. I wanna say it was on good stuff but I'm not sure. It looked funky as hell though when he deployed!! any one else seen this? jason

75$ for a coach jump!!!!!!!!! YIKES!!!!! is that with rental gear????? I know at our DZ coach jumps are only 20$!!! I'll tell you what though I agree with evrything you say. Although I am VERY new to this sport, I do see where one can be takin advantage of if there not familar with the way something works. I also no that if/when I become good to the point where I may be able to help someone, I'll be damed if some one is going to tell me to "please stop helping out cause your not helping our caoching program out any". F- YOU !!!!! If someone asked me a question I'll try to answer it and if someone said "hey can we jump together so I can work on something" lets go. I think thats complete bullshit that a DZO would say something like that to someone (to please not help so much) I think I would be inclined not to jump there any more. Luckily we have a pretty good DZ in the sence that if I have a question I feel I can ask anyone there and get a good answer without feeling like I need to tip someone. I even had a freeflier once offer out of the blue to vidoe me doing a sitfly at our other DZ across the lake. I told him I was just starting to learn and was not very good at it and he said yeah,,,,thats ok lets go have fun!!!!!! ITs things like that that make me wanna jump there again!!!! jason

I dont know if this is something to be proud of But what the hell USA USA USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jason
-
We just kinda have either first one down sets the pattern or land in the wind. But then again theres ussaully only 4 to 5 jumpers in the air at once. jason
-
OUCH!!! how much did it cost to fix him jason
-
Does anyone know a good site where you could see the mechanics of one of the old rigs like the one pic above. that would be interesting to see how they are put together. jason
-
At our DZ your on RC through your AFP, and then when you go form RC to BOC you do it with a coach jumper. That way if you do forget that first time someone will be there to slap your hand and get rid of it. Like was mentioned before ,,all it takes is a couple minutes of practice throwing out before the jump. A mistake that should have been easily avoided IMHO. not that I'm an expert or anything, just making an observation jason

Not a very violent person huh...care to elaberate on that....J/kin g with ya

Yeah....your right ...he didnt "deploy" at 4000. I guess I meant that he started his deployment proceedures at 4000. But still from the moment I pull that PC out I'm counting, and its still 15 (approx) sec too long to wait for something. Thanxs for the correction jason
-
Ummmmmmm.......he deployed at 4000 .......and didnt do anything til 1500.........help me on my math but isnt that like close to 15 secs of nothing. Seems like someone better go over the emergency proceedures!!!!!! Right now I deploy just under 3000. If I dont have anything by 6sec at the LATEST,, over my head (yes I still count) I'm in emergency mode!!!! But hey diff strokes for diff fokes. jason
-
Yep that is correct. Which baffles me because how often is there 36way formations. And I guess I really suc because for me its not easy to get 4 points on a 4 way(old falcon req) with all of us under 100 jumps still learning ,,climbing out at 9000-9500ft. But hey I guess I dont make the rules. O'well still got 3 more months before the new req kick in. jason

In Nov issue of parachutist it said that the new requirements for a falcon award will now be 8 points on a 4way, and for an eagle 4points on an 8way. This will be in affect march of 2002. There reason being that the requirements are becoming too easy for the awards currently being given. Double falcon which was 8 on 4 and Double eagle 4 on 8 will be retired. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the subject. jason

I know 2 poeple a my DZ that jump with ski helmuts. I dont know what brands they are but I do know the the one modified it to fit her protrac but the other guys I dont think one will fit into it. so thats one aspect to look at. And you metioned saying people saying that their too noisey cause of the air vents. You jump a protec. Thats got more vents than these helmuts. I dont think noise will be a problem.

That night we had a Boogie and he had gone home to shower and get all "rico suavey" and guess what........BAM!!!!! righ in the kisser!!!!! jason
