Picture it, Lummy behind the wheel in his Boy George outfit, Sebazz in his Peter Nesbith touque (that the wrong guy? Who was the one with the hat?) NO. I have a .5 on my PC110. Sunday I flew camera on a FF 2 way with two really great fliers. We left the plane with me back on the rear float (Kingair) but with them linked they were hauling ass. I went head down to catch up and transitioned to sit at level while they were in a two hand Spock (one vertical, one sit, both with a hand on the other's head) I closed up to about 10 feet before they broke, but you would not have been able to see that they were in that dock as long if I had a wider lens. They pulled another couple of docks before break off, but I would have been really pissed if I didn't get that spock shot. NOTHING in skydiving camera is a cool as having a past national champ ask you for a copy of your video. Well having him pay might be cooler, but I'll take a compliment for now. I'd have missed that shot with a .3 . Having said that, I've ordered one for when I'm inside a formation. That .3 is an arms-reach lens. Start with a .5 or a .6. Otherwise everything will be teeny and you'll be really frustrated with your work for a long time.

I just had a couple I met down in Perris come spend the weekend with my family. She drinks, he doesn't. They have no problems with it. He's the designated driver. Madman freeflyer, has no issue with others drinking. Me my wife and the woman DRANK on Saturday night, he just turns his IQ down so we can stay in the conversation, I think. The whuffo thing might be more of an issue. Sometimes I notice that skydivers aren't really body closeness conscious. We grab all over each other to dirt dive formations and exits, sit in each other's laps in the plane, etc. You'll find out pretty quick if the guys' capable of jealousy when he hangs out at the drop zone and watches hunky RW fliers grab on your grippers.

I've got a Spectre 170 and a Wings and I've got that giant PC too. I switched to the Aerodyne super bandz, and that really smoothed out my snatch force. They are a bitch to pack, cause they are so small and strong, and the Whineken you gotta drink cause the packers get so whiney is making me want to switch back to regular rubber bands that spank just to shut them up. I think that PC would snatch the bag even if it wasn't cocked.

Well, I'll defer to Lisa. If the money really doesn't matter skip stainless. When you're showing it off, many, many people will ask "why didn't you go stainless" that's not a real issue it's a PITA (pain in the ass) issue. I dig the way it looks. I got the wide risers and big rings. "Why'd you get those big-ass rings and risers?" Sometimes I just use that rudeness to get into a fistfight, but usually I reply that the guy that invented the system said they're safer than the small rings and skinny risers. The rings and risers are about the only thing I get dogged about, but I'm keeping them, and I'm sticking with them when I get a second rig too. I don't think they affect performance negatively. Skinny risers might get in my video a little less, and they might be easier to pack, you might want to ask the group about that. My rig is what I call "square" the main is a 170 and the reserve is a 176. I will probably go to a 150 main with a 146 reserve and stay there. I have really bad feet and it hurts to run out a landing. Go Spectre!

Me in my angels' flight pants driving the Rabbit, listening to Journey on my Jensen Coax speakers, with my feathered hair, buying a BeeGees album. Couldn't have ever happened. We gotta do a thread on yearbook pictures. Argh.

Go to the Wings website and look at the reserve main combinations available. Your reserve choice will be the most important decision you ever made in your life someday. There's nothing budget about it. My rig kicks ass and the customer service at Wings is top-notch.

Clay, do you have any problems zooming all the way in with the Diamond? I read you can't zoom with it on there, and I can't figure out why. All the elements are internal on the camera's lens, why would the wide angle keep you from zooming in? And I had some coaching video done with the .3, and it was all pretty much arms-reach. You gotta be REAL close with that thing. I'm looking forward to using it on inside RW video and inside FF formation video as well. My wife got me one for my birthday, it should be here in a couple of days!

Have freaksuit, gripsuit, and camera suit, and clearly will travel. Sunday we're gonna watch animals with the first graders, but Saturday it's all about vertical speed. I attempted a 12 way night dive last time I was there, so a 20 way in the daytime should be no sweat! LET'S GET READY TO RUMMMMBBBBLLLLLLLLLLLE!
