  1. Well, if we can get NoShit over here, we got the whole gang. Ooohhh. Check this out! http://www.weather.com/weather/local/USCA1181?lswe=vacaville&lswa=WeatherLocalUndeclared&whatprefs=
  2. ( I give up ) I fall like a stone. You do not need baggies to freefly with Deuce. See you Thursday. Welcome back Nathan!
  3. Q, thanks for that thread, I don't know how I missed it. When I was doing big way last weekend the camera flier was lousy. Really bad. A very nice 18 year old fellow who's ringsight was inoperable because his camera setup was a disaster. He was trying hard, but missed lots of stuff that would have had me waiving my fees. I talked with him about RW filming, and some suggestions regarding his helmet as I got a firewire of his stuff. We get done and he says "That'll be $5". Well, I paid him, but I would have preferred a professional courtesy. On the other hand, I'm getting pressured all the time to give up my digital stills for nothing, and I feel like a heel sometimes for telling folks to just buy them off my site. I think the place I gotta get to is one where I know when I'm wearing the wingsuit, I'm getting paid. It just sometimes gets in the way of the vibe. JP
  4. Check. Report is that Mama and Chopster are showing up Friday afternoon. The Skyvan arrives Thursday about mid morning with the Freeflyz and the Ballerina. Let's take this to the DZ.American boogie thread. See you next week. PartylightON!
  5. Yeah, I wish I could get a Skeleton by Sony Deal. No doubt it'll be a challenge, cause you and MonoUno will be laughing like hell!
  6. His experience is good. He's very happy with it. Uncropped pictures to 8 X 10 are acceptable. Frankly, everybody wants a 10D, but a $700 Dimage is an acceptable alternative to a $2100 10D with a 20mm lens. The Dimage results only look a little gritty next to a Digital SLR. Kinda like my flying skills next to Mathias's. I look pretty cool until he comes freaking past. You can ask him directly via GravityGear.com I think that's him on the home page...
  7. The one thought I had, and I've had it before, on problems that didn't amount to malfunctions, is "Don't f*ck with this for the rest of your life". In Chop1.gif I thought that to myself and chopped it. Yeah, Freeflyz, I feel you....
  8. Cash, credit card, sunscreen, motrin.....
  9. SF guy in USMC utilities. End of the world.
  10. You rock Mike. Watching you and talking with you motivated me to attempt to get to the next level. The new camera helmet mounts up a flash, and we'll see how it goes. Thanks. And thanks for photographing fully 1/3rd of all my skydives at Perris!
  11. Where Harrison Ford just shoots the guy. Unmatched.
  12. you surte you mean Barfing and not boffin? Suerte? Lucky to be barfing? Boffin? Dude I'm like saviour faire, I've boffed everywhere! (Some of you get the Pepe LePeu reference, right?)
  13. Every time I've ever seen you I will claim I was working for Betsy. Complain to her.
  14. Easy. In college I did my open water SCUBA certification in Monterey in December. Duh. Afterwards we got horribly drunk on Yukon Jack. Breakfast whiskey. Oh, man. Projectile vomiting competition in the parking lot. Cops drove by and saw us and just kept driving. Whoa. Flashback. What a smell
  15. I'll be there all day Thursday and Friday, Betsy and Freeflyz will be there Thursday too. Well, Freeflyz will be there if he can get his Mom to give him a ride to SDA Thursday morning... Monterey's Otter might end up there so maybe you could hitch a ride.
  16. Not at all. Sometimes I even eat there with my kids. But I do enjoy being in control of the choice. PUT THAT DOWN LUMMY! Thank you. Here's your milk. I'll have to talk with your sitter, Skye. No tip if you end up barfing in the landing area, again.
  17. Well. My staff doesn't have to wear a tie, or business attire. Just no jeans and T shirts. We're in the business of Government, and when ya'll (member of the general public) walk in, you want to be treated in a way that makes you not feel ripped off for your taxes. My people do their level best to have you walk out saying "Wow! What a surprise, that didn't suck after all!" People react to the care people take in presenting themselves to the public. It's kind of like how most folks feel flattered that their date of whatever sex took some trouble to look presentable when they rang the doorbell. But when you're pissed, you want the guy in the tie to come out from the back and listen to you bitch, and assure you that the buck stops at the tie, and fix what's got you pissed. That's certainly not everybody, but it is most people. I'd prefer to walk up in my rig, camera-suit, and helmet, but I have no need to actually go out and LOOK for trouble. It definitely knows where I live.

  19. Hmmm. I have my camera at work today and I'm dressed to spend the people's money.... Stand by.
  20. You guys are just setting yourself up for a shaming. Knock it off or you're eating at the little kids' table again.
  21. Gosh Gary, what a straight line. Too many people here know me, though. But it would go something like "Yeah, Freeflyz, I told yo mama to tell you that right after I (committed whatever mildly offensive act upon her person). Yeah, baby!
  22. I'm sorry yard, the only advice is the one you specifically asked not to get. Seriously, if it's still working well, maybe E-bay it and purchase a nice used Sony that will fit in your box. I don't know why, but I've never seen anything (3 years in the sport, 500 jumps, 300+ camera) other than Sony last more than a few jumps before malfunctioning in some way. Good luck! JP
  23. If you shop hard, you can get one for about $200. It's nothing compared to what's in it.
