Sunshine hits the lower 48 last in Califas. And LouD? What is that chingadera contraption you fly around in called? Ai. Chinga de puta madre. And like that.

'dropzone.com' option, power windows and door locks, corinthian leather lining, all of it. I wants me the "rancho deluxe option package". But in Royal and Red-bone express red. Somebody get me a 40 out of the porch fridge. I am gonna be STYLIN!

Well, they hit a Volkswagon and not a Range Rover, so I'm guessing der Luftwaffe. I'm sure the colonel immediately started shouting: "Sergeant SCHULTZ!"

When I was in jail, the inmates would say "Hey, check out this cool naked picture of my old lady" and we'd look at it and say "Sorry about that" and the guy would say "Huh?" and we'd ask who the guy was who took the picture. Usually nutted them up pretty good. So who's taking pictures of your butt, SM1? Oh, and JP, Dominic has my credit card number and address. 34 waist. Royal with red stripes. BRING IT! Wayf*ckingsupercoolio! and NOICE too.

California. October 7. Be there. Vote early and often.

What, did you throw a pair of tennis shoes in there and just sat on it for that long? At least take breaks for water.....

This is one of those unfortunate, but still nice reminders of how big our circles of friends can be. I don't think I ever met Eric on any of my trips to Perris, but many of my freinds know and love him, so I know I'd hit it off with him if we spent any time together. Knowing him through the Lisa's, Q, LT, Emily & company makes me care a great deal. Get well Eric, I want to get to know you too. JP

Something like "Tornadoes rip off car roofs. Really"

Hey, that's what THEY said. That little soul patch you sport makes you look quite manly. But your tag line is freaking me out. Hannibal Lector "liked" women too. With a nice Claret. -
Yeah, what Ray said. However, I have one of these on a weaver base, but I remove it for flying. It is adjustable for windage and elevation and on the weaver it doesn't move around. It's definitely overkill for wide angle lenses, but I do like seeing my pictures perfectly aligned with my ringsite. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jhtml?id=0005771223489a&navAction=push&navCount=26&indexId=cat320001&podId=0005771&catalogCode=ID&parentId=cat320001&parentType=index&rid=&cmCat=MainCatcat20712

Hey, Tom? Three things: 1) Their Otter has teeth 2)Their Otter has these bench thingies you have to sit on, and not a big blue wrestling mat. 3) It is full of people most times when it takes off. Beware!

You are most benevolent today, oh green one. No references to threads where anything other than Sony is thrashed? Rooke, you CAN use that camera, but you SHOULD return it in order to get something that has more broadbased support in skydiving circles. That's long for "Get a PC or TRV Sony, you'll be much happier in the long run"

See, Q, it's that reverence for the specific technical details that makes us take pause whenever we see your name.

People in committed relationships can't. Well, I guess they could, but they wouldn't be in much of a committed relationship then, would they?

Holy Cow! that Chopfella has you on the defensive! Go skydive and pay somebody to pack your chute and wear closed toe shoes before he gets back!

I was just dying to get a D60 ever since I saw Quade's in action last year. I was doing the same thing as you, log on, look. NoCanClicky. Then they upped the features and dropped the price a grand and all kinds of us got off the fence. I think the price point is likely to stay about there, which is consistent with second-tier pro cameras. About $1500. I'd guess that we'll see 12 megapixel cameras that shoot 10 FPS for 5 seconds in the next few years that will be helmet mountable. But even then the 10D will be shooting good enough pictures to blow up to 20 X 60 or whatever with fabulous results. The higher pixel rate cameras will just allow for more aggressive cropping. The D60 is still very competitive with the 10D, but that price drop had to hurt the D60 folks! The next best thing is always around the corner. My feeling is that when the next best thing gets here and it's good enough to compete with the next best thing for a few years, take the plunge. I did, and I'm not sorry. It is absolutely great fun.

If I'm lookin' for you I'll just look for the guy holding his wife's purse. Pfah! Holding my wife's purse would only be more evidence I'm not to be confused with the androgynous JP. -
Deuce, Thank you for the compliment. You're a sweetie. As to the other part of the discussion....well...where's the icon of the face with an "X" over it's mouth.... Yeah, I guess "She told me" would not be exactly true. I guess it should read more like "According to my training and experience as an active heterosexual male with over 22 years experience, it was clear through observation of the behaviour of the ladyskydiver chick interacting with the Diablo guy that, while in her presence, he was no poofta"

It sounded sincere to me the first time. Toes are nothing, Andrea, you can jump with broken knees and ankles "Feet out, butt-slide, SAFE!" On that really nice turf landing area, too.

Cool! I will not be found waiting in or in front of shoe stores, if you are ever looking for me. -
Didn't you have sex on it at least once? Somebody in Kansas has my Spectre 170, Blue, red, and black. Great canopy. Hah. And Sangiro-san jumped that one a bunch of times too! Bwah! For canopys, I'm OK with the catch and release program.

Thread drift . . . stream of conciousness or bane to all mankind?

Chia-pets were a weird way to get really rich. Guys with new plug jobs have Chia-heads. Head. -
Welcome back and thanks for voluteering to go, CoconutMonkey! You coming to the Holiday Boogie this Christmas?

For tandems, those lenses aren't great. The 50 might be OK if you're not getting too close. For where you need to be to shoot tandem video with a .5 or a .42, the 50mm is going to be too close. You know, since you're probably going to have to get a new lens, I'd suggest you take a look at the Canon Rebel line. They're way lighter than the Nikons ( I jump an N70 film camera, I'll ditch it for a rebel when I break it ) It kinda feels like Canon is going to dominate stills like Sony dominates skydive video. I was a very brand loyal Nikon guy, and still have an N90s film camera, but having a nice light rebel for tandem film stills would be a better compliment to my 10D. If you stick with it, you'll want to eventually go digital, and right now, the Canon's (10D, D60) are out front.
