Yes, everyone, the images are on Southern Command's PC, my PC and CD's.

You bet, Bets. Loving you! JP

Dude, I'm late getting out of here. Stay sober enough to help me set up my trailer when I get there probably around 8:30. I'm going down via Bakersfield/Mojave to avoid LA. Anybody see a broken down 2001 Red Dakota trailering an antique tent-trailer, B.A. me as you go by.

Washing a load of laundry for my trip to Perris and San Diego and while I'm putting my jeans into the already full and agitating washer a 512mb compactflash card that I misplaced at the JFTC calendar shoot clatters out of them (I checked them a dozen times looking for the damn thing) and stops on the edge of the washer, right above the suds. It's just so cool when the toast doesn't fall on the peanut butter side, you know?

They created you, my freaky brother. And there just isn't enough money....

How important is chemistry in a relationship to you?
Deuce replied to genoyamamoto's topic in The Bonfire
Hmmm. Bonnie is right. Kissing will tell you just about everything. Not kissing on the way to sex, just kissing for kissing's sake. If kissing isn't fun, there ain't no point going further. Cooking doesn't last, but kissing does. -
In the tunnel do you still smell like elderberries?

It's anecdotal. I've been there and done that, the police in the inner-city thing. It's clear I have nothing to share with you that might change your opinion. As I've said before, no human system is without hypocrisy. For me that is no reason to strive for perfection. It seems to me, that in arguments like the one you are making, that since atrocities have occurred, there's no reason to strive for justice. Hypocrisy existing in the effort to be just is simply no reason to stop trying to achieve justice.

Just to be fair, Bill, so have Philly and Drunkmonkey. There's a small amount of difference, to me, to say liberals are blamers, and then to get all misty-eyed at the prospect of Ashcroft hanging from a lamp like Mussolini. That is, after he was tortured and sodomized. (is forced oral sex still sodomy?) Anyhow, normalizing hatred leads to really bad things. Finding a way to remove individuality by assigning individuals status in a group makes them easy to destroy. In that environment, joking about lynching can lead to lynching.

No need. Get on a plane. One of the big ones, and we'll jump out of one of the smaller, noisy ones together. It's fun. Perris. Be there.
-
Dude, are you at Perris this weekend? This is a story I gotta hear. I got Burked once pretty good, I'm curious what it was like to get Gramley'd.
-
See, if that's a joke, I think it's sick. I'm pretty sure this is exactly the kind of talk that started off, but ended with a guy being drug behind a pickup truck.

What's your source for this, your "black friends"? The black guys I worked with, in Oakland, got quite depressed from time to time being called "House Nigger" every time they made an arrest of a black person. As my chief was a black man, as was half the command staff, they had no fear of institutionalized racism. The community's racism, however, was quite a disincentive to take the job.

My forecast for this weekend is mostly airborne with a chance of drunk.

I disagree. Kerry blaming the secret service agent speaks only of Kerry. I think the problem is that extremists from both poles now think it's OK to extrapolate from the actions of a few justification to hate the rest. That seems to work well and be justified when it's "those Klansmen", and "those Nazis" But in the past is was used to commit crimes, both insitutional and individual against "those blacks", and "those Jews", among others. Allowing or even ecouraging disagreement to move from irritation to hatred is to tempt war.

Not anymore. I have bought the rights to you, and you must now be someone else. We have already met our targeted goal of people like you, so you must select a different type of person to be from this list of types of people of whom we have not yet reached our target goal.

I think it's more about tone. If you see me biff a landing and give me a hard time about it, it's probably funny. If you are my ex-employer and you say the same funny thing with the venomous hatred the guy has for me, it would not be funny. I do think the liberal elite (and I don't mean that in a hateful way, the wealthy, well-educated, well-meaning left) really do have a simmering hatred for Bush. I also think some of my mighty-righty buddies have a simmering hatred for Kerry and the Democratic leadership. We just lose so much calling Bush a moron, and all who agree with him morons. It dehumanizes folks. Reading Daley's quote about it being dangerous got me worried. I do think there are folks who would drag Ashcroft through the streets and hang him from a lampost if they could get away with it. There are plenty of things to disagree with regarding the man, but none worthy of hatred. Hate justifies murder, and that is pretty scary to think about.

This is the thing that keeps me out of the political forums. I'm glad to hear that this politician, Daly, for all his faults, has said this. The name-calling is bad, but I suspect the hatred from elements of both parties is a dangerous thing.

I'm half Irish and half French. Nasty business. Gareth wants to make me a serf, and Remi wants to kiss me.

"And he looked upon the hybrid base, and smote it" ChopChop

Any of you guys want to play some softball?

OH SHIT! I'm in charge?! You are ALL my subjects! Come forward for your "gation". Wait. All the women. I never want to see Kallend naked. Ever.
-
Um, Pam? I need you to PM me your E mail address. I got some pretty "hot" pictures you might want.

Actually Udeh had a pretty good motivational thing involving lions, I think, for his poorly performing soccer players. Are you talking air-hockey? Like at the bowling alley?

Well, if you tear an eyeball out of the socket, that's mayhem, and a possible loss of down.
