Hey on a side note, I remember you telling me about Boot Camp. You must be in pretty decent shape by now! You should treat yourself to a little pie girl!

  6. Naw, I'm not making a poll out of it. I'm claiming this thread. It's useless otherwise. Might as well discuss pie. Oh! I haven't even mentioned meat pies! Like tourtiere... I like to smother it in mustard like I do Sheppards Pie. Yum... seppards piiiiiiie

  11. I like pie. ... anyone else here like pie too? What is your favorite pie? Let's discuss. [Not you Kramer, I'm hijacking this thread here and making it pie-related... your comments are pretty much unwelcome ] Anyway, I like strawberry-rhubarb pie the most. Sometimes I'll take rasberry pie over strawberry-rhubarb but that's still my favorite. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  12. Hmmmm, you don't have a vote option for me it seems. I LOVE to jump barefoot. It's such a nice feeling of freedom and refreshment. I've only done it a handful of times... but it's a bit of an event for me. That is, I won't do it on a big way, I'll always be a little more dilligent with confirming the spot and I'll tend to pull slightly higher than usual for me to help avoid an out landing, and (though I'm no pro-swooper now) I tend to take a longer, more straight in approach without riser input too to avoid dragging a barefoot and leaving much of it on the ground . Just like jumping with extra things, jumping without shoes is a whole lot of fun but requires some special consideration. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  13. THREAD My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  14. Too funny! I used to LOVE that show. I form part of the "A-team" at my DZ. That's the group of people who hold A licences and are being constantly hounded to go out and get a B. Nice Van btw. I bet it'll be real cozy. You should paint it ala Mystery Machine. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  15. I have made a few jumps without one. Hop N' Pops mainly, once on a big tracking dive. I didn't think much of it.... other than: "It would be nice to have one." Personally, I think it's stupid to jump regularily without some form of altitude determining device. Your eyes are NOT your first altimeter... they are your first altitude guesstimaters. lol. Great if you can get your break off altitude and pull time from nothing more than visual confirmation with the giant rock. But I like to have my Alti on me for three reasons already mentioned but worthy of repetition: 1) Pulling around pull time is great but pulling at pull time is better 2) During an emergency exit, it's nice to know how high you are 3) Always good to know exactly where you are relative your hard deck when fighting a malfunctioning main. 16. Veter... I think you should volunteer yourself to be thrown around by a Judo master. lol. Trust me, there is some serious speed involved. I have been involved in different martial arts for several years. One time I was the rag-doll for a Judo demonstration by one of the greats. We had been dialing his throws in with me all day and he was letting go early and I would travel quite a distance still ariborn.... it was a sight to see man. Anyway, there is some serious speed generated by these tosses. Falling chimney effect dictates that you will see it's effects when you land. lol. Anyway, one time my feet hit the lights which were hanging from the ceiling! Because of this, I was unable to rotate properly upon release and could not break the fall properly. I landed squarely on the back of my head. "Swelling of the grey matter" is what they called it when my brain swole up too big for my skull. (it wasn't a concussion as I didn't lose conciousness ??) I had one pupil diallated much more than the other for a few weeks. One side of my body responded quite a bit slower than the other. I was drooling and mumbling and had a hard time remembering stuff for a short while... I was a sight to see man! Anyway, the only reason I'm sharing this is to reinforce the idea that Martial Artists know how to PLF... they pretty much have to because the forces involved in some throws... are not to be downplayed my friend. 17. It is so simple. Old or new, it's all Metallifuckingca! My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

    track pants

Dito that. Those pantz don't really inflate at all in HD and present very little extra drag in sit. I would go so far as to say that the only extra drag I'm "fighting" comes from them being a little bigger than my previous pair of freefly pants. I wear them for nearly all jumps now. 20. Sure!.... but think.... bubbles My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  21. I love a good Pipe-dream! I have often thought of the atom as being a solar system or sorts. Funny thing the atom... What is it?... It's what you make it. That's why it acts funnier and funnier the closer the look you get when you are trying to figure it out. If you knew that it was just what you made it, it would become more and more specifically what you chose the closer the look you got at it. ? Recently, on a non-muggle-mushroom-munch, I had a whimsical, mystical epiphany of mine own. [cue twillight zone music] The mysterious 27 grams of apparent weight one loses when they die. Some say this is the weight of the soul. This explanation would not discredit that however, since it is the life-energy which is required to generate it. With all the electricity coursing through your body you have an electromagnetic field. With all the iron in your body, you are quite the conductor. When a conductor is passed through an electro-magnetic field, the ellectrons line up and a magnet is created. The Earth itself is a giant magnet as well. Could it be that whislt we live, we have a slight magnetic attraction to the rock? And when we die and the electricity stops flowing back and forth in the body, we lose that slight magnetism? What do you all think? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  22. Was not sure about that. You ever done a belly flop? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
