Sure, but those $300 running shoes won't toss your butt into the ground seriously breaking yourself up or killing you! I'm sorry, but your analogy really doesn't work in this context. This is true. The shoes will not toss your ass in to the ground, but the question is why would the crossbraced canopy toss you in your ass any more than an elliptical loaded the same ? So as long as you cant explain me why this is I would consider my analogy pretty correct. one good argument so far : -Recovery arc Any others ?

As a novice, I dont have anything else to say than this is a VERY good question in my opinion. Even so good, not no one has been able to REALLY answer this question yet IMO. Only arguments against so far are : -Larger packing volume of cross braced´s -Expensiveness Comments like "you dont need to do it yet" are not good enough IMO. You dont need to buy 300 $ running shoes just for your sunday exercise either, but they sure as hell are not going to water down the exercise either. Only good argument was that the recovery arc of cross braced´s is longer. Can anyone add more to it ?

Sure a lot of people are trying to convince you that the G3 is better if they didnt have enough money to order the G4. I like my G4 a lot. Before I ordered my G4 , everyone in Finland said to me its crap. Even the riggers in my DZ. (all though, not many had ever saw them and most of them had G3 them self...) Anyway I ordered G4 and when I took it to the DZ, no rigger had nothing bad to say about it. (at least they didnt tell it to me) They only had comments like : Oh.. look at this neat little detail, THIS IS CLEVER.... About packing the G4: I think its very easy. IMHO thats nothing to worry about !! Very Easy to pack !! The split bag works just great !! Otherwise its pretty much like packing the G3.. About the looks : I have only seen 2 G4´s in real life and they both are just too fucking nice ! Heres mine: (the pics are a bit bad, but you get the idea...) PIC 1 PIC 2

Here 206 takes 5-6 jumpers depending on their weight.. I guess 182 takes 5..
-
I could also add, we always have 2 pilots (becouse of insurance I think...) If theres less then 24 people we have to leave those unoccupied places free close to the pilots. So if theres 18 people in the load we leave six places free closest to the pilots. We can use that extra space after the seatbelt light comes off. The minimum amount of people for a load to 13.000ft is 16.

Does every otter fit the same amount of jumpers, or does it depend on the DZ ? Our DZ takes 24 people...

Will it be desided based on the poll ? -
Some people dont cutaway the board at all. The flare with the board. Jussi Laine does some nice flairs with a board. Pic

No. It will be "the next generation nine-cell elliptical". We want to know more !!

Could it be that the knot was made when packing the PC ? It just tightened it self in the opening. Normally when packing a PC. theres always some extra bridle left that people (me included) just shove in the pouch. If you shove it wrong, you could easilly make a knot waiting to happen.

A while back I showed some videos of some headdown action to a friend trying to persuade him going to the FJC. He said: "Oh, that looks pretty easy. I bet I could do that on my 1st jump" I tried to explain how difficult it is even to stay headdown, not to even speak of being able to adjust fall rate and move around. He just didnt want to believe..

Both main and reserve about 1.3

I cant imagine this happening to me since I dont have B-12´s.

This is what can happen also if you dont take away the twists from the steering lines. A lot of people think, that no twists can occure if the brakes are stowed back right after landing. They dont realise that even then they can make a 1-1/2 twist to the lines . After some time there can be some serious twists in the steering lines. I try to check my brakes every 5th jump or so...
