  1. They had their rigs on 20 min before now call? What a couple of tools. Seriously tho, there's been a few times where I was denied getting on a jump for good reason, and a few times where I've denied letting others on for good reason. In none of those situation did anyone get their feelings hurt. In other words, no one was an asshole about it. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  2. Not sure what speed stars were like back in the old days but we do them all the time at our dz. Everyone exits separately, we never launch a base. We often have 10+ people in our speed stars... they're a shit load of fun! *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  3. Yeah I agree... I wish they still made 'em like they did in the 60s and 70s. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  4. Whew, sit back and have a cold one, champ, while we admire your hard work. Thanks man! For a minute I thought you were just a HATER prick head. I didn't understand why someone would get all bitch like about adding an upgraded air intake system to a V8 HEMI 5.7L. Guess I was wrong about you. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  5. Installed!!!!!!!!! *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  6. Just so you know . . both Divot and Twardo - suck and blow harder and more efficiently than that little gizmo. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  7. You mean one of these.... Dodge Wayfarer (see poor quality pic) There were better quality pics but this was the first black one I came across. I like the visors that they have over the windshields. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  8. Slapping on a short ram and exhaust system is one step away from ricearoni. That step is the fake sponsorship stickers. Hahaha.... coming from someone who has a 'screen name' after the rice burner of motorcycles. *I am not afraid of dying... 9. I didn't think it was possible to rice out a charger. Congrats. 2005-2009 Chrysler/Dodge 5.7L Hemi Systems ....................... Power ....... Torque 06-07 Stock...... 340 HP..... 390 lb/ft with Vortech..... 432 HP.... 471 lb/ft http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/view.php?pcat=25 No rice... just steak and potatoes! *I am not afraid of dying... 10. I do eventually intend to supercharge it... but for now the K&N intake, new exhaust system and a air intake sensor chip all together will hopefully give me a 40-50 hp boost. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  11. Dyno tests show a gain of 18 hp. There is some increased air pressure with increased vehicle motion, so yes it is a RAM cold air intake system. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  12. Into this. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----

  14. Or maybe since Obama cut NASA's funding, they have turned focus on a new 'angle' in order to say, 'PLEA$E keep NASA alive'. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  15. A "tracking pattern" is choosing a heading and a course to follow during the track. We usually start the track away from, and perpendicular to jump run and then turn down jump run (pending the final hook turn of the jump plane and where tandems etc.. may be exiting). Planning a good pattern is much more important while wingsuiting so you don't fly too far from the dz. I've been told that a horseshoe pattern is usually a good basic pattern (again ending toward the beginning of jump run. I also just started doing some wingsuiting and have just 4 jumps now. Having a good tracking body position may help out some, but you will need to make some adjustments to it in order find the "sweet spot" with the wingsuit. I didn't do a bunch of tracking dives or anything to prep for wingsuiting and still found it relatively easy to fly. The main thing to keep in mind is that wingsuiting is more dangerous for the simple fact that you have a 'straight jacket' on so to speak. That's just my recent nubie experience, but I'd listen to whatever DSE has to say for expert advice. *I am not afraid of dying... 16. Thanks for contributing!! Added it to the queue!
  17. his name is Dikembe Mutombo... He played for the Nuggets for a few years... remember him well. Think he's still playing. If I add "skydiving" to the end of my user name, pretty much the top 5 results are mine including post, pics, and videos. *I am not afraid of dying... 18. Exactly! Also, people sitting on the floor at the rear of the plane with their backs to the benches usually have the person at the end of the bench straddling their rig. Their hackey could easily be stepped on and when they stand up at 'door time' a loose pc can easily fly out the door. Imagine a similar situation with the door propped open foot high and the pc flies out!! If the d-bag makes it out the door and the canopy is deployed, imagine all the possibly bad scenarios. It's why I always cringe a bit when people prop the door. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  19. Probably not the greatest idea... with some people having RSL's and all... *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  20. Yep... it won't be long and you will be dreading catching up on the past 20 jumps you were too lazy to log while still at the dz... clicking through your digital alti log book trying to remember, "what the f' did I do on that jump again?" ...and of course asking your fellow jumpers to sign off on those 20 jumps for you. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  21. So if one of your friends or family members died or was killed and you knew people were talking shit about them after their death it wouldn't bother you? *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  22. Can you justify the "all" part of that? Completely closed at take off... until 2,000 ft and seat belts off... then 'all or nothing'. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  23. Also a good reason to not prop the door of the Otter, King Air, PAC, etc... open a 1/4 of the way on hot days or even if someone ripped ass. On the off chance that a pc flew out the door while partially propped open it could be bad for everyone. Don't prop the door!!! It should be all or nothin! *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  24. Judging on where to start your flare based on any objects other than the ground its self seems like a bad idea at any level of experience. I have heard most say that you should be watching the ground below, or rather, just ahead of you and use that to judge when to start your flare... regardless of wind conditions. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  25. I agree with that statement. In the end there is very little learned from the incidents form that we don't already know or that is actually applied to changing the sport. If there is a beneficial aspect to it, it may be the 'reality hit' some might need to understand that death does and will occur in this sport. As for me, if I should die while skydiving... I can say I have lived my live to the fullest in all aspects and could die tomorrow a happy man. I just hope my family and loved ones would be able to understand that, and celebrate my life lived rather than morn my death. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
