  1. Isn't this whole thread advertising? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  2. the states might get this one because owning a firearm is a constitutional right but the school issue was not. I predict it will fare exactly as well as nullification has the other times it has been tried. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  3. Condolences, Tom. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  4. It's usually at this point that some (you'll forgive me) rocket scientist responds, "So if people should be able to marry their dogs if they want to?", and then we're off to the races. Why you have to drag greyhounds into this? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  5. Hilarious but NSFW, in case anybody couldn't tell. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  6. Yes, it's not a very good system. I don't think it is one we want to recreate. I've also seen the opposite, where there was a report made and there was abuse going on, but the sytem was not capable or willing to take effective action. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  7. Hmmm, that would make an interesting landing... "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  8. Turned the tables on the outsourcing corporations. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  9. How effective are those reporting mechanisms? Do you have any contact with that system or any idea? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  10. Not to sidetrack your thread, but you are absolutely dead wrong here. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  11. The only Dr. I've been to in the last 4 years is my eye doctor. I guess they can ask him about my mental health. I don't have a primary care physican. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  12. Damn, I thought those were vampires. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  13. Every DZ has an etiquette of their own, ranging from no dogs to dogs welcome everywhere. My dog was older (13+) when I started skydiving and I opted never to bring her to the DZ because it involved dealing with other dogs, which had always been kind of stressful for her. I never minded other peoples dogs at the DZ given two conditions: clean up the dog crap and keep the dogs out of the packing area. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  14. One very important detail that seems to be missing form your story is that there is no indication that she has asked for your help. Without that wishiner her good luck is about all you can do at this point, likely. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  15. Jim, Just print out some of your posts from the "Scary stories from the Old Days" thread. If you do even half as well at speaking as you did in writing them you will have their rapt attention. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  16. This is called the, "How do we create an incentive to not cooperate with an investigation?" Now, there are "mandated reporters" by law who must report things such as suspected child abuse (doctors, teachers). In exchange for being mandated reporters they also have immunity for making a report that doesn't turn up as justified. I'm a mandated reporter. I have to exercise that at least every few months. Most of the time there is not a serious investigation and nothing is done. Creating a whole host of more mandated reporters isn't going to do much without mandated follow-ups. What will those follow-ups be? How will it be enforced? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  17. Writing stuff down is a great step. To really get an accurate calorie count you are also going to have to weigh and/or measure your portions. Most people have a vastly inflated idea of what 4 oz. of meat or one serving or cereal is. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  18. Keeping Your Poop in a Jar by Hayseed Dixie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08nDbtFpVR8 "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  19. In VA the insurance companies are required to notify the Division of Motor Vehicles when you cancel your insurance. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  20. Like it or not the insurance mandate was justified under the power to tax (by the Supreme Court). Avoiding the mandate could be evading the tax statutes. The IRS seems to be the right agency to pursue that. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  21. I don't get the point about indigenous production capability. Under Wickard v. Filburn it would still be Interstate Commerce and federal jurisdiction could apply. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  22. Feds would not be able to do anything about it Sure, just like those medical marijuana state laws have protected people from prosecution by the federal government. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  23. Interposition has a pretty lousy historical record. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
