  1. Of course I like it, but I never eat it. Its probably even worse than sausage. Some people actually eat sausage and bacon more than once a week. No wonder there are millions of triple bypass surgeries every year. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  2. Why does anybody even give a shit about ones sexual preference ? I'm so sick of even hearing about gays, straights, bi's, etc. Who gives a fuck! You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  3. QuoteHmm I think I will stick to a parachute Me too. I wouldn't do it for free. Nothing can come even close to skydiving. Leave the carnival rides to wuffos You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  4. Its all about money. States receive more in Federal assistance and grants for each inmate than it costs to house them. Their incentive is to put more people in prison. Additionally, one of the biggest lobby groups in the country represents the correctional workers unions. This vermin spends millions to keep simple laws like marijuana use as a crime. So basically many of the people in the state and federal prison system today are not really criminals, rather they are the victims of criminals that make and keep useless laws. This is why I have no respect for any laws outside of the heinous ones. Most were put on the books by useless grandstanding politicians trying to keep from getting a real job. Fuck them! 5. Being a recipient of a useless limb (dislocated right shoulder upon hitting the tail of an Otter), I would have preferred the main if I could have reached the handle. Worked out that I could only pull the reserve and I would rather have rode the main down since I was only able to do riser turns and flaring the canopy wasn't an option. If someone did pull my main and it malfunctioned, I could always reach both the cutaway and silver. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  6. No pics anymore, all my treasures were lost in a storage locker flood while I was in Australia for a couple years. But the best way to describe how it flew would probably be to compare it to a Cessna 150, it was that easy. Though it had a big plane feel, the flight controls were balanced just right. It was actually easier than the T-6 especially since the visibility on the ground and in flight was spectacular. I also recall that my particular T-28 came out of South American (I think Argentina). It had pods on the wings which I had removed. They were either for rockets or some kind of ordinance, I don't remember. It was kind of intimidating to look at since it was SO BIGGG. 7. QuoteMaybe someone can email Rob with a link to this thread. I would love to hear his side of the story. Your side sounds realistic and reasonable to me. I emailed the story to him this morning. Maybe he will respond You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  8. I have never been to the Reno races but would like to go sometimes. As an airplane dealer I actually use to deal in warbirds in the days before they got price prohibitive and I even owned a couple T-6's and my own personal plane was a T-28A model. Blue Skies to you too You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  9. As a kid in upstate NY (late 50's), I would often see formations of military aircraft since we were pretty close to some base. I remember especially the interference with the TV set. I didn't know what kind they were at the time but mostly C-119's and DC6's. Today I heard that familiar sound again. When I looked up it was a B-25 flying from Sun & Fun. What memories. 10. When I got mine pulled, my girlfriend bought me a box of peanut brittle. Anyway, got 5 in on Saturday at Deland, all out of the rocket-box You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  11. Humidity, and Fire ants.... Actually the Winter has little humidity for Central and Norther Florida. Fire ant killing is great sport down here especially with a magnifying glass You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  12. "Do you hate the US government?" is the title of the article. An article on CNN which is a known as a “liberal one-sided rag”. Thank you for your service to our Country, but we do not hate paying taxes, we just want a responsible and accountable Government which is now totally out of control. We want to get rid of all the dead weight, lobby groups and useless laws made by grandstanding politicians who can’t get a real job. I bet your ranger station was burned down by some liberal fanatics in their own sick efforts on some silly issue. You know, the people who put animals and plants before people. 13. DeLand Florida in the Winter, but not too close to the airport. Them turbines are annoying unless I'm jumpin Quite & peaceful Clintonville Wisconsin in the Summer. Best of both worlds. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  14. Ya wanna overthrow the government? Do it on election day, but violence isn't the way. Who said anything about a violent takeover? You need to read the agenda of the Tea Party and not bits and pieces thrown around by the left. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  15. Just a matter of time. The question is where's it gonna blow. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  16. Gonna be some real changes in the very near future. About time! http://caffertyfile.blogs.cnn.com/2010/04/16/do-you-hate-the-government/?hpt=T2 You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  17. They’re not only ruining aviation, they’re ruining skydiving as well. I used to be able to take a good nap between jumps, now we have to get up early. And how about them stupid roll-up doors that don’t allow the air to circulate (especially important for clearing out the stench on Sunday mornings). Turbines with their stupid green lights mean we don’t get the opportunity to spot, and I miss that added protection of getting my gear oiled up like we did with the rounds. To hell with the turbines! 18. Thanks, I am putting it on as we speak. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  19. Skydiving is a great way to ward off depression. If we could only convey that to the rest of world, we couldn't get on a load.
  20. Just 3 at DeLand on Sat. All by 9:45 AM You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  21. Yes, I always flat pack my main. Its easier on my arm as I have a bad shoulder and reaching down deep to clear the panels can be painful. I make exception on my reserve which I pro pack, only because it splits easier for bagging. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  22. Absolutely! And you can use it as the seatpack or chest since the SST originally was just a chest mount sewn to a piggyback rig. it’s the same packing procedure. Not quite sure but I can't remember reading anything in the regs about having to use airworthy or TSO rigf. Many courses including my own used some real junk including condemned canopies. Maybe someone else can answer that. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  23. Mid 30's?, I think thats about half dead! You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  24. How do you propose to get it thru security? I won't do it, but it just might make it through if its wrapped in a towel or something. If they find it, it just gets thrown in the garbage. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
  25. http://www.cnn.com/2010/TRAVEL/04/07/ryanair.lavatory.fee/index.html?hpt=T2 Fees for carry on bags, now for using the toilet? Its time we taught the airlines a lesson. A friend suggested a carry on bag with some road kill. Just leave it. Any other suggestions? You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
