My favorite method is handing it to a packer, but if I must, I use either the pro, psycho or flat depending how I feel. Since I have a right shoulder problem that actually requires that I use the older style leg strap pilot chute, pro is a bit painful since I must reach deep inside the material to clear it properly. The bottom line is that once determined that the there are no entanglements, just about any method will work. I'm speaking about the larger canopies that I and the newbies should be jumping. I don't pay much attention but I think some of the higher performance stuff might have some recommended packing methods. Brian Germain's Latest Transcending Fear Video!
captain1976 replied to BrianSGermain's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Nice job Brian. Gives me the willies just looking at it. Flown a lot of aircraft but those things look scary. I think I will give it a try. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime -
If we could only get them to snap like that in bed

I had about 300 hours and my own little airplane before I got mine. In 35 years of flying I have never been ramp checked. The only reason I keep up my bi-annual flight review and medical is basically because my insurance wouldn't pay if If I were to wreck my plane. Otherwise I, like many would just fly. I appraise airplanes, the ones we generally don't jump out of. Sounded like an easy job at first, but its nothing but mountains of paperwork followed by file drawers full of records that have to be researched and analyzed. Liberalism, atheism, male sexual exclusivity linked to IQ
captain1976 replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
Source: http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/02/26/liberals.atheists.sex.intelligence/index.html?hpt=C2 This ought to be good for a few posts. No, it shouldn’t cause any controversy because its true about the IQ thing. Liberals spent a lot more time in the liberal controlled school system being brain-washed than conservatives who went out in the real world and learned for themselves what was right and wrong. More time in school means better test scores including IQ exams. However Liberals with their higher IQ’s didn’t learn that endless handouts, endless welfare, endless spending and liberal policies in Washington are bankrupting America. They have made each families portion of the federal debt four times what their private debt is. The Japanese were always referred to as having high IQ’s also. But they enjoyed playing catch with Chinese babies on their bayonet’s and torturing and killing for fun during WW2. Proof? What credibility does Arlington Cemetery or for that matter any branch or department of the US Government have? The school books are full of lies and deception. Anything in history that may be offensive to others is eliminated and twisted to a politicaly correct agenda. Even the words on the Thomas Jefferson Memorial were not written by him, they were written by someone who thought what he might want to convey. Ever hear of the Lincoln Plan? I did because I read it. President Lincoln enacted legislation to send all of the former slaves back to Africa. Why? Because his personal transcripts and signed statements divulge that he “did not” believe in their equality and wanted them out of America. You won't see this shit in the school books. Deception and fraud are everywhere, especially in the junk science associated with so-called global warming. I can deal with the truth, not the lies and deception orchestrated by the left. I learned to do my own research before anyone ever heard of the internet. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime

What you are saying is that the people like myself who worked hard to get the things we have should share it with the people who just breed and contribute nothing to society rather they just take. Stuck-up rich people? You mean people who went out and worked hard to make something of their life. Only in the last century has this behavior been tolerated. Since the beginning of time it was not, and those who elected not to carry their own weight would simply die off. I don't mind helping others to get them on their feet, but this never-ending uncontrolled breeding needs to be addressed. Just like animals, spaying and neutering is a great alternative. So what you're saying is that you support the incentives for dysfunctionals to continue breeding at the expense of hard working taxpayers? You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime

If you consider cutting benefits to needy people and stuffing corporations full of cash to be all those flowery things above, you're right. We are tired of carrying the so-called needy who are getting a free ride from functional people. Needy people are like "stray animals." Give an animal or a person ample food supply and they will breed, especially ones that don't think too much further than that. You can see this on a visit to any inter-city. They are breeding a culture of dependency which has grown out of control and and is paid for by hard-working, tax-paying families You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime

What you are basically saying is that conservatives emanate credibility, integrity and character, where a liberal lacks all of these attributes. Yes, we agree. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime

Those rocks may have once belonged to Argentina, but New York was once owned by the British and they can't have it back either. But if they really want it that bad, they can go to war and again they will loose. America would certainly be involved in one way or another like the last time. Bush Interrogation Lawyers Cleared by Justice Dept.
captain1976 replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
The bottom line here is that these men are criminals and should be prosecuted as such. They broke the law or laws were broken because of them. Hitlers Henchmen were not even considered law-breakers because their actions fell within the law of the land. But there is a law above the law that they were convicted on and prosecuted accordingly. Torture is a criminal act and all involved should pay the price. But that probably won't happen since these scumbags stick together and probably colluded on the matter long ago. Quote So.Cal, Fla. and Texas are seeing numerous case of this...with Houston being the worst. These States report the highest numbers because they have the highest populations. Unfortunately the State with the lowest population density (West Virginia) has only 1 DZ listed. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime

Thats another problem. Now we have to pay for the medical care and finally the caging of this garbage. Well, Its time to do something. The Government is out of control and the people must take our country back. I agree with AggieDave. I used to give a $5 break for returns but that is when the pack jobs were 60 days and I think I charged $20. You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime -
Naptha should be good as its used in dry cleaning. Gasoline is also a great cleaner as it was used for most clothing stains many years ago but I'm not sure its reaction with nylon either short or long term. Ask a drycleaner, they will know. C-182 Seatbelt STC - pics anyone?
captain1976 replied to tkhayes's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
TK, I don't have any pictures but the ones I have been involved with have the 2 rear center belts attached to the rear seat far aft floor bolt (right in the middle). The extra sides attached to where the rear seat bolted to the side bulkheads. I don't remember an stc as we put in a bunch that way. We simply used the same thread hardware and some grommets.
