yeah i assumed that you would never be able to slide in face first, haha. but i understand what youre saying. i dont now if its possible to do and walk away from. there too many variables, id think, but then again, im about as far from an expert in wingsuit flying as anyone, but i do have a basic understanding and grasp of gravity and pysics, lol. if he actually tries it, i wish him the best of luck and hope he makes it. ok so what kinda numbers are you REALLY looking at? i mean how slow of a vertical fall rate can you achieve, and with what forward speed? Thanatos340(on landing rounds)-- Landing procedure: Hand all the way up, Feet and Knees Together and PLF soon as you get bitch slapped by a planet.

Call me old-fashioned, but I think a large part of a parent's job is saying "No". Kids don't have the life experience to evaluate risks and outcomes. Not a risk that I would permit my kids to be exposed to. My oldest son, 34 years old, bought a Harley a few years ago after many years of riding dirt bikes from an early age. Messing around on the small bikes he had with a couple of friends in a field is one thing, going 120mph on a track with others is quite another. (He lived with his mother a long way from me after the age of 4 but he had sensible people around that I trusted) You can comfort yourself by saying he died what he loved doing but he's still dead at the age of 13 and will do no more living or loving. It makes me very sad to see someone snuffed out so young and "doing what he loved" doesn't comfort me at all. I think there are lots of other fun activities for kids that don't put them at nearly as much risk. If you allow your kids to do this, I hope you are ready for the consequences. I can't think of anything more horrible than burying one of my three sons because I couldn't say No. dead is dead, why stop a kid from doing something he probably LOVED, just so he is 'safer'. i had a friend of mine who went to take a nap one afternoon, and never woke up. mom found him dead a few hours later, and to this day NOONE and i do mean NOONE knows why he died, there is NO explanation how/why he died. so you could have put him in a bubble and never exposed him to anything, and guess what i bet hed still be gone. at least this kid died doing something he loved. if you dont believe me/ wanna know more, PM me ill explain with some more details. long story short, EVERYONE dies, might as well go out doing something you love. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFEFbXbagdw tourney paintball might not be the most "physically hitting" sport, but you do sprint alot, and are getting the piss shot out of you every game. 68 caliber hard shelled paintballs coming at you 13.3 per second at 300 fps, can suck real fast. and i even took the time to figure out how to make it clicky

id seriously take a look at chantix, ive seen it work for 2 people who have smoked for 30 years for the one and about 20 for the other, just follow the directions. Oh trust me skydiving gear is NOTHING compared to paintball gear at the end of the day. leave that stuff in the car for a few hours and id rather walk home than smell that stuff. let them get a whiff of some gear after a tourney, theyll never complain again. i PROMISE touche' good sir! ill tie the smell of rotting neoprene with rotting pball gear, i havent dove in a while so i forgot how bad that one does stink, haha. You wanna smell something bad. Try a wet suit from SCUBA diving when you silted out inside of a wreck on a hot day. Nothing like neoprene drying out with fish poop and who knows what else in your wet suit. Im from america, home of football, and im saying that rugby players are tougher than football players, yes ive been to many football games, here in the states and had the luxury of traveling to austrailia for a month and got to see a few rugby games, live in person as well. not saying that football players are pussies per se, im just staying that taking the same style hits, as football playere with out pads, and playing much more time per game makes them tougher. Says something about the general I.Q. of each sport, doesn't it? The only sport more equipment intensive than football must be skydiving. I used to hate running in all those pads on a hot Texas day. EXACTLY! no way id run around in pads, in that kinda heat. id rather risk the hits, haha Thanatos340(on landing rounds)-- Landing procedure: Hand all the way up, Feet and Knees Together and PLF soon as you get bitch slapped by a planet.

not only can i not solve a stu[id rubiks cube, much less do it in freefall while riding in a rubber boat. thanks for the blow to the self esteem, dick. but seriously, thats awsome, haha!

getting hit at full speed in football after catching a pass is VERY rare, usually the defensive guy is running WITH the receiver, so the hit is only his speed, which is marginally faster than the receivers speed, minuse the speed the receiver is running, basically most receivers are drug down, not slammed from the other direction like you are inferring. the only guy who takes hits like that on a close to regular basis is the QB. and that only happens when the line fails. bottom line both sports are tough as hell, but football players still wear pads, rugby players dont. Shit... I didnt have a good solid poised exit till my 3.5k H&P. I was scared shitless about fucking it up. Now I pull ~2.5-3k... go figure. haha, the funniest thing about it all is i think its really the fear of heights that i have, so maybe ill go back and do a few jumps from like 10k instead of 13,5 and be able to tell myself, "hey, at least its only 10k" lol. I was afraid of skydiving for the first 25 jumps. Then, for the next 25 jumps, I was afraid of riding up in the plane. I was so relieved once I exited because I was back in control where I was safe. Around 300 jumps, I realized that the sport was more dangerous than I thought. exactly, once i get out of the plane its GREAT. even with my piss poor flail around exits, all i gotta do is arch and roll out of it.
