Why do DZ's Screw other DZ's??
mutumbo replied to ktmlouie47's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Two weeks ago I went to Deland and jumped out of their Skyvan. This weekend, I went to Z-hills and jumped out of Deland's Skyvan. I have jumped out of Deland's PAC at Clewiston and at old Lake Wales. Have also jumped their Skyvan at the Palatka Hog Flop Boogie. Bob H. is a giver. its few and far between when deland has all thei aircraft at home at once lol. They are ALWAYS loaning something to somewhere haha. And yeah Bob is the coolest dzo ever. He took me and one other guy in a PAC to altitude on my first solo. No matter what happens deland will always be one of my home dz's. ( i say one of because i move around alot, stupid work, if i uad my way it would be the ONLY place i ever call home) Thanatos340(on landing rounds)-- Landing procedure: Hand all the way up, Feet and Knees Together and PLF soon as you get bitch slapped by a planet. -

the subject of nurses missing te IV just because thwy are a nurse does NOT mean they can start an IV for shit. And that being said some people are IMPOSSIBLE to find veins on. I was doing an ER clinical for school where i watched the very best nurses doctors paamedics phlebotomists and whoever the hell else could possibly have any clue how to fnd a vein stick a guy from his wrist to his shoulder every bout half inch, he literally prolly got suck 40 times ( LONG story and yes the doc was trying to ge a PICC line and was having trouble). Hell they were almost to the point of callng in the local heroine addicts for a consult, lol. We even broke out the couple hindred thousand dollar vein finder machine thingie to no avail. And you dont see a problem with this? They are carrying a lethal device used under supremely stressful situations, and they never practice with it? To me thats about as stupid a thing as one can do, right? Id use my piss poor skydiving analogy again but im afraid it would hurt my case again, lol. So take out the piss poor skydiving analogy and my point still stands. . The guy either pulled his gun without looking to see what he had in his hand an BLINDLY fired it, or he pulled his gun on purpose and shot a person in the back on purpose and is just lying about it. Probably the best advice one can get. Seriously, making friends with GOOD skydivers, not the ones that are in and out of the hospital every few months because they hooked it into the ground for the 4th time this year, or are constantly being grounded for pulling low or other shenanigans will go a long way to having a long and successful career in this sport. . . oh and like he said, LISTEN to them, even if its what you dont want to hear, sucks i know, but its in your best interest. England: 10-Year Old Boy Allowed to Shoot Shotgun!
mutumbo replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
Yeah exactly, ive had friends who receivied guns as presents at much earlier ages (welcome to western Ky), and guess what, none of them have done something stupid with them, they were shot and taken out only under supervision, taught proper handeling and use from day one, and are superbly safe with and around guns. (and some of them are DAMN good shits now too) Thanatos340(on landing rounds)-- Landing procedure: Hand all the way up, Feet and Knees Together and PLF soon as you get bitch slapped by a planet. -

Isnt the gun and tazer on opposite sides? Yeah rhetorical question i know, but hear me out. Im calling total bullshit. how many THOUSANDS of times has he practiced drawing and firing a tazer, which is on the OPPOSITE side and ahsa totally different look and feel than his gun. To me it would be like pulling a reserve instead of a cutaway handle first. You drill and drill and drill EP's till they are in the back of your head and executed like clockwork(at least they should be). Im pretty sure i could tell the difference between a silver handle and a reserve pillow especially since it was drilled to me to LOOK silver, grab silver, LOOK red, pull silver, grab red, pull red, thats a LOT of LOOKING, you dont just blindly go grabbing handles praying you get the right one, do you? I highly doubt that a trained officer of the law would "accidently" pull AND FIRE the wrong thing. Ok well lets say he did "accidently" pull the wrong thing, so does that mean that he BLINDLY fired it without even looking to see what he had in his hand? tazers and guns DO NOT look the same, feel the same, or ANYTHING. so hes saying he blindly grabbed the first thing that he could get and pulled the trigger? ok so even if hes not guilty of MURDER, hes guilty of being a complete and total JACKASS, who needs to be put away anyway, because god knows who else hell hurt or kill. Something here just doesn't add up, no matter what way you look at it. At least to me. I was asking for "the sport", not "the movie". But yeah it seems the sports are pretty much related. Except "Rollerball" (the first one with James Cann, not the remake) was a totally invented sport that loosely was based on roller derby with many added and much more violent elements. By contrast, Roller Derby was real, then about as real as professional wrestling and now it's pretty much back to real again. Was extraordinarily popular in my home in the early 1960s. By that time it was as fake as professional wrestling, but damn did my mom love to watch it. LA had it's own team; The LA T-Birds. From my point of view, they had about the same win/loss record as the Harlem Globetrotters. Seemed to me that whoever the "home team" was won and whoever the visiting team was lost. Always a good show though. Oh, and it wasn't just women. They played men's, women's and mixed as I recalled. They also had "grudge matches" based on some foul or something that always seems to involve quite a bit of cheating like the coach of the bad guy team whacking one of the other players over the head with a folding chair. Did I say "Rollerball" was more violent? Well, at least in Roller Derby, nobody died. I actually like the original one, it was pretty cool! The big huge guy with the handle bar mustache was awsome, till he died :( yeah she didnt like any of my suggestions for names, lol. Chesty Laroo Busty St claire and Hooty McBoob (bonus points if you know where those REALLY came from) Thanatos340(on landing rounds)-- Landing procedure: Hand all the way up, Feet and Knees Together and PLF soon as you get bitch slapped by a planet.

how about for all the parents out there who think child safety seats are overrated and in the event of a crash they will just be able to hold onto said baby?? At the risk of sounding Racist...mexicans are the worse about that shit! My wife is the director of emergency Transport and pediactric intensive care at Childrens Hospital, (yes, this biker manage to marry a woman that is not only pretty, but damn smart) She sees is daily! John, it happens, but nowhere near as frequently as the past, yet still more times than it should, even once in my eyes is too much. it may be "racist" but sadly its true, i cant tell you how many wrecks ive seen where you roll up on scene and theres about 9 people between cars of ALL ages and not a single child saftey seat in either car(and im still a VERY new paramedic), its BAD! but nowhere near as bad as it once was thankfully.
