when i get home, i'll dig out the joint critique i helped write in college... but essentially his supposed 'rational analysis' starts off with an unprovable assumptions he simply never addresses.. it rather undermines the principle of 'rationality' even if you make 'rational observations and decisions' afterwards, if you begin with a 'Oeija board' as a basis what you are doing is no longer 'rational' you cant start a logical proposition from the position "Dragon's exist therefore..." ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

it is simply assumptive and trite, not a 'deep read' at all.. of course when you read it with a believers eyes you dont see its fundamental flaws... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

no see the difference is simple really in Heaven... the French are the cooks the British are the cops the Germans are the engineers.. in Hell the British are the cooks the Germans are the cops and the French are the engineers.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

i'm a HUGE CC/Soundgarden fan, have been since Louder than Love... but Chris blew his voice out on the SuperUnknown tour and has never really recovered... still good, but nowhere near what he used to be.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

might the new owners also own another DZ in the area? and does this mean the semi-regular 'invasions' of foreign airborne units will cease at eloy? ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

actually very few intellectuals believed the earth was flat... but if its convenient for you to subscribe to that fallacy as justification for your unprovable belief in your 'god' that is 'cool' but it has little to do with reality... it was pretty easy to prove the earth was round (and its size was calculated even) LOOOONG before Columbus sailed. (Google Eratosthene and become enlightened) but the ignorant will STILL believe whatever helps them to sleep at night.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

to easy.. some basic pattern analysis allows you to determine which vertices are 'interior' and which are exterior.. there are faster ways, but if you have trouble vizualizing the edges move all the vertices to the center and work outwards.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

which is quite possibly the most misunderstood and most often abused example of a 'Socratic' line of philosophical/religious questioning.... it's not 'silly' at all.. it is designed to teach you something in the search for an answer, much like eastern Koans... in fact i'll buy a jump for the person who can best explain why this question exists, what is the reason for asking it, and expound on a few of the possible answers... (i'd say no google, but that would be pointless.. but perhaps someone will expand their though process in the search..) ps.. its not 'fit' its 'dance' and the difference is an important part of the question... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

occasionally i've forgotten what i'm wearing when went back into PHX... i was in a subshop once and a woman told me she "didnt like my shirt one bit" took me a sec to register which shirt i was wearing and, being in a surrly mood since it was Sunday and i was no longer at Eloy, i had to ask her if she worked for the FCC... my favorite version has the American Flag for the 'backdrop'.. i think that one really torqs some people who dont/cant read the sleeves.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Well MonkeyOne let me know if you are ever in need of a replacement. I think I have a few left yea because the ones you wear the most often are missing the 'good' parts ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

according to this study it is 4%... some of her conclusions seemed a bit reactionary and designed to sell her other books, but it is an interesting read... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

you know we were discussing this at the DZ last weekend.. "Do animals take risks??" do birds, squirrels, deer, cats, dogs etc wait until the last possible moment to dart out/ swoop your car... based on casual observation i'd tend to say they do, although i wonder if they get the same sort of thrill 'higher' animals like humans do.... i cant count the number of times i've watched a bird make a sudden sharp turn toward a moving car and 'surf' the airflow off the windshield/roof... and of course there is always those two squirrels in the insurance commercial... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

got my SSI ratings in College but havent done much of anything with them since.. I really enjoyed Diving but once i wasnt living in FL it was harder to get out.. and i cant afford (the time) for two expensive sports... but the things you will see and experience are simply amazing.... one day when i give up working for a living i'm going to get back into it... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

actually once you recognize that it is the story, (and what you learn and take from it to become more than you currently are,) that REALLY matters..... even Yoda has value.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

that pretty much sums it up... golf is a game, not a sport... while those with better athletic abilities will do better at nearly anything, simply playing golf doesnt make you an 'athlete' so why is it that those that are great at other "sports" never seem to cut it as competitve golfers? sure some get good, but none have moved on to the upper tier of golf as they did in their sport.. Hell Jorden is good at golf, but he couldnt win a PGA event, and He's one of the greatest athletes in our time. because Golf is a game, and being good at another Sport doesnt nessearily mean you will be good at the game of Golf.... however better physical fitness lends itself to learning anything physical..even the game of golf.. and while Golf does require a good set of skills to play well.. it also takes YEARS to develop those skills to competitive levels....i'm sure if an athlete in another sport quit to play golf professionally they would do jsut as well.. but they dont, its a recreational activity for them... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
