your book would be a whole lot thinner if this were literally true... the Church exists to support the Church.. they pay lip service to all other causes... the scales are no where near equal... entire cultures do not exist because of direct religious persecution, all driven by the Catholic Church much of what is 'untold' was simply 'unrecorded' by the historians who also conveniently happened to be priests of your church.. there would be ALOT less conflict if more 'christians' followed the path of christ instead of the path of the church.....but most people (starting with Paul) seem to believe the Church IS Christ. one of the fundamental problems with the catholic version (and to a lesser extent every christian spin off) is the focus on the figures as icons instead of examples.... but if you do that then you dont need a church at all.. you justt have a path to follow.... ASA is apparently a compromise between 'standard' LASIK and PRK.. pain and discomfort were not an issue, but 3 days of being able to do next to nothing was driving me stir crazy ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

i just had a 'version' of LASIK performed last week... ASA Advanced Surface Ablation... its very much like lasik minus the 'flap' portion... which eliminates a majority of the complications.. the downside is that it isnt an 'instant fix' for most the way stadard Lasik appears to be.. I was even jumping Sat after a Thurs surgury, but later that night the downside creeped in... MAJOR light halos and my overall vision took a dive for 3 days while the epithelium layer (which is moved during ASA) healed... for a good portion of those 3 days my vision fluctuated between complete clarity and inability to read anything at all.... life is much better now and i'm pretty happy with the results, but if you'd asked me last week i would have gladly gone back to pre-surgery vision ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

"to err is human.." everyone, anyone at anytime can make a mistake.... its up to the individual to determine what an acceptible margin of error (for them) and to accept the concequesces of breaking that envelope.. ive seen lots of silly things i would never try, and done a number of things other people have said were 'silly, stupid, nuts' etc... risk management is a very personal decision, no one else can decide what level is acceptable for you.
