1.35 to 1 on a BladeRunner 150 main. I can land it anywhere I want to, anytime and all weather (within reason of course) AND I can still scare myself sh_tless with it if I want to. -- ZZZzzzz....

Man, would I love to have a pic or two of myself with some serious shockwaves standing off my helmet! -- ZZZzzzz....

Sexual discrimination - I wish I was a girl.

Jasmin and Skygirlpc - thanks for the honesty! I assume that the "pc" at the end of Skygirlpc does not stand for politically correct . Some advice to the girls claiming that they do not get preferential treatment at their DZ's - get another DZ (joking ). I have never been to any DZ where the old hands didn't "help" any girl to the point where she actually started feeling scared. If you like not receiving preferential treatment, and don't - good for you. To the sheep-afficionado's: Whatever puts a skip in your walk. Come to think of it, I'm glad I'm not a girl after all. The feminist movement would have put a price on my head! -- ZZZzzzz.... -

This is in reply to the posts of Tequilagirl, Megscott and Moodyskydiver. How my well-intentioned thread got hijacked by the BestialityBoys again I do not know. Toss a subject out there and it ends with sheep. Anyway, I was generalising, which is always a bad thing on a public forum. I really think it's beautiful. The idea was not to criticise women - I know better than that The idea was to rant and lament just how much any male can be subtly manipulated by the fairer sex. I mean, I had to buy a guy a jump to teach me to pro-pack. No girl would ever have to do that. Contradict me if you want to - but you know the truth. And I'm just jealous. -- ZZZzzzz.... -

I would get instant help with anything I want to. Any question I have, or advice I need would elicit an immediate abundance of responses. I would get free instruction jumps and pack jobs at the DZ - Girl: "Oh, can you help me with this please, I have been flaking it such and so and it always opens off heading" Guys (chorus): "Yeah, sure - let me show you" (jostles for position) I would get thousands of responses to even the most inane question I can post on the forums - Girl: "If one side of my three-ring system releases accidentaly on opening, would I still be able to land it safely?" Guys (chorus): "Well in theory.... I've heard of a case... I would not advise you.... The correct procedure in a case like that would be.... It depends on wether you have an RSL, and to which side it's connected" And I would never pay for a beer. Please don't take this too seriously. I guess us guys bring it over ourselves by being too true to our genetic makeup. -- ZZZzzzz.... -
And now how will all these Americans and other uitlanders know what you're talking about? I still don't know what jello is, but that guy who wrote the explanation seemed to assume that I knew so I kept quiet to hide my lack of knowlege of foreign beverages. -- ZZZzzzz....

What's a jello shot? -- ZZZzzzz....

You mean that you were in a high stress situation? I presume that you are talking about mental stress here. Have you been eating well? Getting enough sleep? Even if you have, I'd suggest you get a checkup - or at least a few days rest. Never happened to me, but recently a friend of mine had a similar experience. Good luck

In general I agree with you. Wild animals in captivity just doesn't work for me. I suspect it doesn't work for them either. -- ZZZzzzz....

Something for Skreamer and Clay to help pass those lonely nights.

Safe, maybe. But it still took a while to explain it to one of my co-workers who happened to see me studying this pic with some interest. -- ZZZzzzz.... -

Sigh. Well, it's bigger than you think. And I've never had a car stolen in 12 years. But I know you're joking . Seriously, ever been here? All of you should make a plan sometime. Best lifestyle in the world. -- ZZZzzzz....

For what it's worth - I salute you for the above. I'd like to think I'd do the same in your place. Good luck with the rest - hope it all comes out well. Well there's plenty of fish in the sea, if not at the DZ. Before I got married, I actually could see something positive in a breakup. Go out there and conquer the world - it's yours after all. PS - I'm sincere in my first remark about the Yoda incident. Now get some mileage from it! Chicks dig that kind of story -- ZZZzzzz....

My sympathy. I also didn't jump this weekend, but I took a sunset flight out to Strand and Somerset-West yesterday afternoon, so at least the weekend didn't suck completely. I don't take my rig with me when I go flying, it makes my passengers nervous. -- ZZZzzzz....
-
So, how did it go this weekend? Did you have a good jump or two? -- ZZZzzzz....

Yes, and in Uzbekistan it's apparently $2. I will be there in December, and will give feedback when I return. -- ZZZzzzz....

Me too, robotics to be exact. But I don't get excited about plumbers calling themselves "sanitary engineers" or chefs calling themselves "cullinary engineers" and such. Not to mention the myriad of IT geeks out there calling themselves "network engineers" and suchlike. An engineer builds engines of all types (check origin of the word engine before going over to attack mode) You know when you are one. When your mum doesn't even return your calls -- ZZZzzzz....

Terrible .... What an outrage. Someone should put a stop to it. There can be no free world until events like this cease and is blotted from human memory and existence for ever -- ZZZzzzz....

Did you know that the average human in freefall dissipates over 40 kilowatts of energy to the ambient air? That's enough to power a small car, or about 60 powerfull electrical drills. Power = speed x force say you weigh 70 kg with equipment, that is roughly 700 Newton that is supported by air at terminal velocity (since you are no longer accelerating) Now, at roughly 60 meters/second that gives 700 x 60 = 42000 Watts, or 42 kilowatts. But I forget - most Americans work in these insane units, feet, pounds, inches and horsepower. And they consider a car that delivers anything under 100 kilowatts "tiny" Ok, I deserve to get shot, or at least tied up and tickled for an hour for this post -- ZZZzzzz....

I'm trying to figure out if you're tuning me country grief or what. If you are, I am going to have to come over there and bliksem you amongst the eyes until the bleed becomes. Ask Scratch what that means -- ZZZzzzz....

Oh well, since I am a South African, maybe I should respond. Normal jumps here are from between 9000 and 11000 ft agl. You can expect to pay about ZAR140 for that, which very nearly equates to 13.5 dollars. This is irrespective of the jump plane, turbine or otherwise. There are only two turbine DS's in SA, within 80km of each other (and 1400 frikkin km from where I live ) For higher altitudes you usually pay more, say 15-18 dollars for 12-16 k feet. -- ZZZzzzz....

I have 300, and I am a skydiver - just a very bad one. -- ZZZzzzz....

Tell me if you've seen this before. Semi-work-safe -- ZZZzzzz....

You have more humps than posts Wow. Is that in the "individual" category, or is it a raw total incidents? -- ZZZzzzz....
