No, no idea. "Do (W)Once It More"? Or is it like the "Put On spray" of the mechanical engineering world? -- ZZZzzzz....
-
Wendy, as a sort of engineer (I suspect), you surely also understand the "Ohnosecond"? -- ZZZzzzz....

No stoppages on my Glock 23 either in about 3000 shots, despite having a stiffer slide return spring fitted. I have seen a stovepipe on a Glock (19 I think) also due to a limp wrist. -- ZZZzzzz....

Hi Nac, I added two more that you as a fellow engineer would understand . Mmm. I did this precisely to avoid flamestorming - what happens if you dare start a new post on a topic that has already been covered, no matter how long ago . -- ZZZzzzz....
-
Blamestorming: Sitting around in a group, discussing why a deadline was missed or a project failed, and who was responsible. Adminisphere: The rarefied organizational layers beginning just above the rank and file. Decisions that fall from the "adminisphere" are often profoundly inappropriate or irrelevant to the problems they were designed to solve. This is often affiliated with the dreaded "administrivia" - needless paperwork and processes. Ohnosecond: That minuscule fraction of time in which you realize that you've just made a BIG mistake. -- ZZZzzzz....

Wendy, I have no secrets worth knowing. Only people who sit in the "important part of the bar" have those. So I can afford to be open . -- ZZZzzzz....

Well, in the non-metaphoric barfight, I was the big guy. So I know how you feel. But don't worry, keep pumping them irons and spend 20 minutes a day on the health walker, and people will soon start paying you the amount of attention you so richly deserve. Quoth the big-teeth man. Hark, for his word is the way . edit: spelling corrected. I don't want "Oom" Speedy to kick my ass for spelling ! -- ZZZzzzz....

Well, there was once a car that rolled. The car ended up on it's roof, with all the occupants holding their hands over the open end of their (now upside-down) beer bottles. You had to be there. Priorities, priorities...... . How they've changed . -- ZZZzzzz....

No, But there is an appropriate way of jeering, and an inappropriate way. The first one gets the results desired. If you need lessons, you know where to apply . -- ZZZzzzz....

Bill, I've read your posts. I think I understand your views. But your way of getting them across does not appeal to the masses

You don't get it. What I'm trying to say is that there will be no winners here. So do not gloat. Do not be arrogant. Try to imagine being the big guy. How would you have conducted yourself to help all of us enjoy the rest of the evening? Put yourself in our shoes for a minute. Think. Sometimes, there are no winners. Sometimes, you have to do what you have to do. But do it with dignity. You are the big guy now. With that there comes responsibility. Carry it in a way that will make us believe in you. Help us trust you. Each and every individual one of you. I still support you. -- ZZZzzzz....

Once upon a time long, long ago, I was sitting in a club with some friends. It was a pretty rowdy crowd that evening - mostly students like myself. A few tables away there was this really obnoxious guy, throwing insults around, offensively jeering at any girls that walked past. He was quite a big guy, so nobody tried to get him to tone it down. We were all just trying to have a good time with our friends. Suddenly, a really huge man stood up from a table in the corner. He was sitting in an all-male group, easily the toughest looking bunch in town. He walked over to the troublemaker, and words were said. He returned to his seat, and things quitened down for a while. Sadly, this happy state of affairs did not last long. The loudmouth just became drunker and more offensive. The big man gave him a second, and a third warning, but he just became bolder. He was spoiling the evening for everyone. And then the big guy lost his patience. He walked over to the table, grabbed the brat by the scruff of his neck, and started lugging him to the door. A fight ensued. Punches were traded, and blood flowed. In the end the big guy prevailed. He threw the ruffian out, and returned to his seat. We all felt relieved, and tried to carry on with our evening as normally as possible - but there was something in the air. We all felt grateful to the big guy, but we also felt vaguely uneasy. I can not say for sure why, but we left the club not too long afterwards. -- ZZZzzzz....

Nice. You have talent for this. So what were you thinking about? It can't have been too terrible, there is no blood and guts in the drawing. -- ZZZzzzz....
-
I misunderstood you there. For a moment I thought you meant South African Revenue Services (our local equivalent of your IRS). In which case any of the possibilties you suggested might have applied . -- ZZZzzzz....

No, you're being fashionable. -- ZZZzzzz....

[MM tapping his foot...] C'mon, Kevin - we are waiting! You have a date with a girl that is almost as beautiful as my wife - she posts about it on the internet - seems very impressed with you - what's the secret?
-
So, tell us more! Where did you guys go? Movies, Cinema - or just for drinks? Or did you do something like a sunset helicopter flight with oysters and bubbly? Or am I somehow missing the plot here

Freedom Gas...... -- ZZZzzzz....

So, I take it you're an ass-lady? (as opposed to ass-man) I have to agree with you though. That was the reason why I posted the pic. I mean, not to say that this should be the only criteria for choosing a perfect partner (you can't have a meaningful conversation with an ass, however perfect), but Mike did say that it's supposed to be tongue-in-the cheek. -- ZZZzzzz....

Proving once again that it's not what you wear, but how you wear it . I did not have her fashion sense in mind ....... -- ZZZzzzz....

After some digging ...... NSFW. -- ZZZzzzz....

I just heard from a friend who works for ATNS that serious consideration is being given to the idea of prohibiting South Africans from participating in aerial adrenaline sports. Apparently an increasing number of infringements by jumpships on controlled airspace is cited as the reason. Will keep you posted when I hear anything new. I am setting up a listserver to dispense any new information as I get it. Send an e-mail to mileg.wasspult@bymm.co.za to be added to this list. Not-so-blue skies. -- ZZZzzzz....

Sorry, I don't get it. What's up?

Laat my weet as jy hier is, chopper. Ek PM jou my nommer.

Because of threads like this. I am NOT against this war, on the contrary - I support it. But I am very much against this attitude. Look at how many jibes the French had to take on this forum, and that is a country with a lot of skydivers. -- ZZZzzzz....
