Val- UBid is in Danville, IL so if you get something from them, don't forget to add tax. Learned the hardway where they were at.
-
I've got video of Mike flying a non turbo 205.

So do you go through post whore withdrawals since you can't get your dz.com fix at job #2? How do you cope?
-
You never asked for my alcoholic chocolate pie recipe... Life can be very good...

You'll have to forgive Rev. He is a cheesehead you know.

i.e. I don't do much maintenance on Freefall.com after the convention, but I start to prepare for the new version of the website which generally debuts on Jan 1 each year. (After the hangover wears off of course)

Don't make me send Mar over to beat you...Wait, you'd like that...There isn't an online place to pre-purchase the 2003 video yet, so the old graphic stays. Freefall.com and the World Freefall Convention (WFFC) are not associated with the official video vendor, Martini Shot Films.

Miller is the greatest beer!!! They even sponsor the worlds largest boogie, the WFFC!!! (I prefer Tommy Knocker, but I can't get that were I'm temporarily at now.)
-
That was my other thought.

So when do we need to be there? We've been bouncing the idea of coming back for the 4 days of thanksgiving weekend to try to finish. Just a thought at this moment though.

Contact your DZO and see if they can acquire one of the cutaway rigs from one of the manufacturers. They probably won't charge you at all and the DZO can use it as a draw to get some people out to jump to practice emergency procedures and such.

So, what's the best email signature you've seen lately? Got this one today attached from an email from Verisign: "No trees were harmed in the submission of this email, but a bunch of electrons were terribly Inconvenienced."
-
Nada. Just getting the nectar in a different form.

If you did this on your sport rig, are you a friggin idiot? If you did it on a cutaway rig, that's cool. As for the first statement, you've got a functional canopy over your head. Keep it that way. There are cases where reserves had problems and it's possibly that your's might have had one. Stay safe and do the intentionals on a system designed for that.

I personally like the safety lines that hold you in place over the center of the platform.

It actually does. If you don't want to have a credit card anymore, just pay it off and cut it up and don't use it. Having a closed account on your credit report is a negative no matter who closed it (issuer or consumer). Now, if you're going to be making a 'major' purchase (read house), it's better to have an unused account than a closed account.

Went to the store to get it tonight and they were out so browsed to see if there was anything else interesting before heading to another store. Found a single copy buried on the shelf away from the empty display. Was about ready to head up to pay when I hear a 4 yr old kid screaming at the top of his lungs about wanting the movie and, well, he wasn't happy that mommy wasn't able to get it for him. Felt a bit guilty and she looked frazzled so I gave her my prize and headed to another store to pick it up. Very cute movie.

What do you tell people that say Skydiving isnt a sport?
WFFC replied to Conundrum's topic in The Bonfire
I tell them it's better than driving around in circles for 500 miles. -
Wishful thinking I take it? Tell Jen Hi for T and I.

Sitting here filling out the bills and painfully writing a check for the FL trip last week which included Tonya's AFF that she couldn't complete due to winds. Guess the motorcycle will have to wait another month.

Sarah- See if you can find the number for the local ABATE chapter. They do motorcycle safety courses with some community colleges over a weekend. Here's some other sources specific to South Dakota for you that I found: *Mr. Rick Kiley, South Dakota Safety Council, 3211 S Carolyn Ave., Sioux Falls, SD 57106. Phone 605-361-7785. *RiderCourse Information: 800-952-5539 Source edit to add: Abate of South Dakota

When deploying with my sit suit, I rotate my left arm in (i.e. look at the palm of my hand instead of my alti). This collapses the wing and has worked for me. I generally wave off 500' higher and take the extra few seconds to make sure I'm stable and such in this position before throwing out.

Wasn't it you're girlfriend that was complaining to me about your deficiency in...Well, nevermind...

If you think the skydiving is better, you're either: A. Single and not getting any B. Not having it with the right person
