  1. I thought Ryan carried himself really well. I was quite impressed. Biden had a really good grip on the issues too, I agree. I was surprised by him actually. He's much more in touch with what's going on than I previously gave him credit for. Personally, I far preferred the VP debate even though Biden was a little too smug for my liking at times. That said, I don't take his smugness as laughing at the issues, but rather at Ryan's approach or stance on them. I got the impression that both Ryan and Biden are very serious about the issues, just with very different approaches to solving them It was, for the most part, a much better discussion of the issues. 2. Did you even read the post before you responded? I made it clear there was a lot of room to discuss the current admins handling of the situation. Doesn't change the fact that it all fell apart under the last administration. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  3. Not a PA at all imo. Out of line though for a civil discussion which is why I removed it but you'd already started responding to it so it was a wasted effort I guess. Pretty thin skin there Performance Designs Factory Team
  4. Reads to me like you're blaming Obama. That said, it's total nonsense that the economy will never recover 'under obama'. It'll recover under Obama, or Romney, or the President thereafter, or we as a nation will be done (not likely just yet). If you think I have any zeal for Obama, you're out of your mind. He's been an incredible disappointment. I've said that on this forum before. edit: Cleaned up the post so I could address the issue, instead of the poster. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  5. I do. As usual this is where you wiggle around and never admit anything. Subject change incoming..... Performance Designs Factory Team
  6. Nonsense. The collapse happened under the previous administration. There's plenty of good argument to make on how this administration has dealt with the collapse, but to try and blame the collapse on Obama is downright silliness. Agreed on this statement (to the poster who wrote it). The only thing that will change will be who claims credit for it (and IMO neither can). Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  7. IMO opinion any turn has blind spots. The reason 180's are somewhat controversial, again imo, is that people fly goofy patterns - basically a downwind leg right up the middle of the landing area and then huck a 180. This presents a huge predictability issue, as well as having a canopy flying directly towards others on final. I teach a slightly different pattern to minimize this issue but to some degree, for 180's, it's always there. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  8. Interesting response. Incorrect (and largely incoherrant) however on many accounts. 180's may not be one of my favorite parts of a swooping progression but it is absolutely necessary. As with all things, it's a series of steps working towards an end goal. Which is exactly why I'm correcting you, and will continue to do so. You're welcome to come over and chat (since apparently you know me) and be happy to explain in more detail why you're wrong. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  9. Nonsense. 180's are a perfectly acceptable turn, and part of the progression towards bigger turns. Performance Designs Factory Team

  11. Speaking of comedy, and Mitt - here's the Daily Show.... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/26/jon-stewart-romney-getting-dumber-video_n_1915728.html?utm_hp_ref=comedy Performance Designs Factory Team
  12. I agree - I really wish they would publish that. However, if I'm forced to choose, it's not going to be Mitt Romney that gets my vote. I'd rather not support the lesser of two evils, and instead express my disgust in both, and our current political system. Performance Designs Factory Team

  15. I love those guys. Here's Obama
  16. Couple of things: 1) Yes I've seen this before. It happened years ago to Jay, my teammate, and it was sketchy. I would suggest bigger dive loops as a possible solution 2) I would STRONGLY encourage you to change your toggle grip. Keep the entire toggle over your hand in your palm, secured by 2 fingers (pinky and ring) when you pull the fronts. Your 3 finger toggle method seems to have a high probability of dropping a toggle. 3) Personally I don't like, or recommend blocks (Leverage reasons) 4) Nothing wrong with the amount you're pulling your fronts down. I pull mine down further

  20. 100% incorrect. Chris Martin, one of the wingsuiters in the video, was jumping it in AZ. The canopy had a brake fire on opening (I recall) causing the canopy to spin so fast, so quickly, that Chris passed out almost immediately. Edit: Ninja'd by Dave
