  1. If those facts are straight, it's total and utter garbage that someone lost their job doing the right thing. What is most surprising though, is that the police didn't turn up when he first called. Any word on why that happened? Performance Designs Factory Team
  2. Some? He sold his centrist soul to the Devil, also known as the GOP Right, during the primary campaign. Before that, I dare say many unhappy Obama supporters would have been willing to jump. Yep. I was ready to vote for him based on my time in MA with him a governor as well as his centrist views. After the primaries.....forget it Performance Designs Factory Team
  3. When you make a statement that killing "evil" is ok, you are. That sounds like a veiled threat to me. I hope I read that incorrectly. Arguably one of the worst analogies you could pick - since a pornography is subjective (much like your definition of evil I suspect). Therein lies the problem with your broad statement: What YOU consider evil isn't necessarily actually evil to others, just to you. Some areas are clearly black and white, while most are much more gray. So you agree with TM then if he thought Z was threatening him then via confrontation? Performance Designs Factory Team
  4. Define evil - and I mean YOUR interpretation of evil. Not some dictionary reference. While you're at it - define how you judge 'them' to be evil. I'm genuinely curious as to your rational here. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

  8. Some people will believe anything they read on the internet. Even if it has a disclaimer at the bottom such as: "The author, Klein, has been accused of writing untrue statements, but if these stories are even partially true, Obama is going to be in trouble." A quick search on Edward Klein shows the quality of his work is dubious at best. It never ceases to amaze me how fanatics (left, right, religious, atheist, or otherwise) will seek out non credible sources for information simply because it aligns with what they WANT the truth to be (regardless of it actually being the truth). If you're that set in your beliefs that you're incapable of changing opinions anyway - why bother seeking false information out? Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

  14. It's borderline. IMO the best results are a smoother set down. Generally when you set down aggressively, or too hard, you end up having to almost totally release the rears to prevent popping up over the last marker - which significantly shortens distance. To some degree, I think we're all still figuring out what works best. Intentionally bombing the gate is risky, and not worth the reward imo
  15. For those interested, here are the Am, and Pro, distance rounds 1 & 2 from this last meet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QzbeKCQIpk&feature=player_embedded Performance Designs Factory Team

  17. I'm still watching the video - but I'm not ashamed to say that Romney had a very good likelihood of getting my vote PRIOR to the primaries. Unfortunately, his pandering to the right base (however necessary) has put me off of him as a candidate. Personally, I liked him as Governor of MA - my opinion was that he did a good job and was relatively non-partisan. Pity - he used to be a good candidate. Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

  21. Whether or not he agreed with the 'company policy' (and Im not saying I do or don't) - he violated it, and continued to do so after multiple warnings. In the corporate world, that'll get you fired too - I'm not sure what the big deal is. I have the right to free speech, but that doesn't guarantee me the 'right' to keep my job. Now, a more appropriate question to ask is: Why is this policy there in the first place, and does it still have merit? Of course, that takes the political nature out of it - and where's the fun in that Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
  22. That's correct - if lethal force is being used against you, you have the right to defend yourself. That's the part of this whole discussion I have a problem with. Yes, I know we have to defend ourselves, and I don't have a problem with the principal behind SYG - but I have a hard time feeling sorry for someone who can pick a fight, end up getting an ass whooping, and then shoot the other person under SYG. To me, that seems to be against the spirit of the law. Note: I'm not saying the above did, or didn't, happen regarding the incident in question. I'm commenting purely on your statement.
