Canopy Piloting Circuit, Carolinas District

Sounds good. Even if I cant get points from multiple regions, I'd still travel up for a meet or two just for practice. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team -

Chuck, Can people compete in multiple regions? Just wondering if FL and GA will have their own circuit or how this will all work. I'd be willing to drive a couple of hours to support you guys for a few events if there's not a ton of local ones here. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team -
2005 Pro Tour Schedule is out!

Nice Hansie. Now Jim, the skydive Chicago event has dates but not the month printed, when is that scheduled? Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team -

What does your Dz charge for a hopNpop
ianmdrennan replied to Rdutch's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
$14 and they're discouraged. It sucks, but at the same time with how fast this plane climbs it seriously sucks for the owner and takes a lot more time to drop jumpers. He's working with us though and I have high hopes for better hop n pop prices in the future. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team -
Honestly it all depends HOW he flies it. I've seen people with less jumps than I fly spectacularly (this includes pattern, safety, etc) and conversely I've seen people with thousands more fly like a student. Jumps matter, yes, but it's what was done with them that matters more. Basically good/bad advice can come from anyone. I know that doesn't help ya though cause I guess without seeing and listening to the person it's hard to say how much value they have.

I posted a link earlier in the thread, but honestly I think the pictures Mel posted of Dave B are a WAY better visual. It works but it's actually back flying at first which, if you do with someone who exits a sit into the relative wind, will put you above them (same as flying on your back with a sit flyer). It's a quote from the movie dodgeball (which is a really funny movie btw!) Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

Cool. I loved the 84 Velo. I found it a boatload of fun to fly and super responsive. I think you'll like it a lot. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

Agreed. Deland has some of the best pilots and canopy coaches in the world available for anyone who needs them. Term-v: You'll have access to Scott Miller, Ian Bobo and Jimmy-T to name but a few coaches. Edit: Deland is great for coaching, but not so much for fun jumping. Just an FYI as it can be a little "cold" for visiting fun jumpers. Good luck. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team -

Yeah, but like he said it's an emachine and it's the display chipset. If he had an agp card in the slot it'd show up there as well. uggg....emachine....I just rebuilt a friend of mines. Lots of low grade stuff. Slow mem, celeron, integrated everything. I've generally preferred building my own gaming machines, off the shelf stuff rarely is decent or those that are are way over priced *cough*alienware*cough* Oh and D, high end gaming cards run mid 300's and up so 200 isn't too bad
-
Meh - could have been that cheap it was a long time ago

I believe that is a 16mb integrated video controller. My recommendation would be to make sure your machine has an AGP port (extremely unlikely it wouldn't) and go buy a new video card. There are a lot of good options out there, but expect to spend at LEAST $200 for anything worthwhile. The cheaper you buy the less time it'll be useful for. Personally I'm an ATI fan. I've been running the 9700 Pro since it's release and still haven't needed to upgrade but I sense that time is nearing with Battlefield 2 and Quake 4 on the horizon. If you decide to buy a card, let us know how much you're willing to spend and guidence can be offered from there. They turn on????!!!???? Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

When we had renters insurance it was approximately 40 dollars a month. Definately paid for itself as we had other items covered than our rigs as well that we ended up needing it on. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

Right click on my computer, select properties. Click the hardware tab and then press the device manager button. A list of devices should appear, expand the display adapters and tell us what it says under that. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team

We own 2 homes. 1 rental property and 1 that we actually live in. The rental property has appreciated approximately $80000 in 3 years the place we live in we haven't lived here long enough for it to appreciate decently yet (although it's fully expected). It's all about location, seriously. I'd be wary of buying in the highest priced areas, instead we tend to focus our energies on growing markets. everyone has a different strategy though. Just depends what the long term goals are. Blues, Ian Performance Designs Factory Team
