Yes it was corrected but no, it happened well after the rig hit the market. They had to do total recall.

... and the official video is ready, PM or click here for details

Another way NOT to stow excess brake line (thanks ParaAvis Co. for the alert and the picture)
-
Nope, it would be hell of a job (21 teams * 10 rounds = 210 pages) to post them. We plan to include them in the official video though (to be ready by September). I have copies of the judges notes, if you are interested in any particular jump feel free to PM me.

Absolutely.

First. Anonymous posts like this are bad for our sport. Whoever you Mr.Spirit are, please know that to bring to this forum the worst Russian skydiving discussion boards practices of speculating on rumors and incorrect information is it is a very bad idea and it is not appreciated. We are not yellow press. Second. As one of the event organisers, I can only confirm that yes Mirage mal took place. Nobody was injured. It is unclear what caused the mal. Yes this mal raises some serious questions. The manufacturer is informed. I am sure either the manufacturer or the team involved will inform the skydiving public about the details of the accident and the results of the investigation ASAP. I suggest to avoid any speculation until then. Fyodor

And we are only talking good ol' plain FS here. You just don't wanna know what judging for Artistics looks like...

To change from one format to another, you need a transcoder. DV cameras do not have transcoders. Most European models allow you to play NTSC footage on PAL camera and watch it on a PAL TV (if it has an NTSC playback option) though an analog output. Some US models can do the same with playing PAL. When you firewire an NTSC signal to PAL camera (or other way around) you will record the original digital signal, which means it will still be NTSC.

If you show the exit but don't show all grips it will be an NJ. If you are still flat on the second figure some judges will give you an NJ, but some will give a bust for not showing complete separation. It becomes a practice to bust such situations (my team was busted on the Malevsky Cup this year). My communication with the judges show that they bust such situations not because the cameraflier is part of the team now and along with the team is responsible for presenting grips to the judges, but exactly because the judges do not see total separation. If you get the exit but then loose the team, my understanding is that the scoring will start from the first judgeble formation (not from the beginning of the sequence/top of the page). The points which are not seen on video can not be neither busted not NJ'ed for the obvious reason that the video gives judges nothing to judge. This is a tricky situation because judges do not know if the team has followeed the sequence - so there is a chance that they may start judging from the top of the page. If you get the team back to the frame on inter or end of block, we have another tricky situation. The scoring end of the block probably won't get scored (because the beginning of the block was not shown). The judges may also bust because they see the inter (or the end of block) but not the beginning. On a completely different scenario, when the cameraflier does not show the exit of the team at all, the rules say

Perry, you rule! Now Stupino is full of wild-eyed creatures begging to borrow suits . It's a shame I did not make it to DZ on Monday to have a chance to fly with you. Thanks so very much for your efforts. Hope to see you next time! Best, F.

Misconception. I have 1300+ jumps on snap risers. Not a single brake misfire. Yes there are other designs. You don't have to like this one, but it does the job, and does it pretty good.

are there? Sony VX/PD lines offer better quality which comes at a price ($$$ + grams) Canon is a nice cam which just was not made for skydiving Panasonic 3ccd is crap There is no way 900 series are the best in all worlds, but there is hardly any other pro-sumer cam in the same price range which does better job another question is - do we need a 3ccd quality video on everyday skydive? I used to jump a PD100 but switched to a good old 1 chip TRV. Judges did not notice the difference, but my neck did . Tandems, artwork - OK. Competition? Doubtful. Cheers, F. PS. and non of the above has to do with the original question of the post

sorry for hijacking the thread, but this is untrue if you do not know how to handle equipment it does not mean that the equipment does not work

Yes. My teammate had one of those original Sabre120 - a slider from a 135 tamed the openings

Sabre2 openings, which mighty warrior has tamed them
FeFe replied to friflaj's topic in Gear and Rigging
only one of a three or four Sabre2s I've jumped had the same problem - so you must be damned lucky! on mine experience the slower it opened the more chances of off-heading openings try leaving nose alone wonderful canopy (but why would you trade Stiletto for it? Birdman?) -
Well, not exactly: "With the DuoCam SC-D6040 consumers can switch between a 4.13 megapixel DSC and a DV Camcorder at the push of a button" Samsung also used to have a VHS/DVD player player combo in one deck.. but this one is definately uglier...

glad but confused - will it be registered as a record or as FAI record?
